That’s terrible. They knew it would be out of date before you could finish it. I’d keep emailing them and don’t let them fob you off.

Thank you, I will chase them again tomorrow morning.

Nats060816 · 27/10/2024 21:54

@TheBoldHelper I’ve checked my BMI and it’s 29.9 and I’ve seen somewhere say it needs to be over 30 so not sure if I’ll get approved

Choux · 27/10/2024 22:00

@Nats060816 are you white with no other health conditions? If so you will be rejected at 29.9.

But is that your BMI at the start of the day when naked? Because when I eat salt and carbs I gain weight as I retain water. Pre Mounjaro i probably weighed a few more pounds on a Sunday night compared to a Friday morning. Just saying.

Nats060816 · 27/10/2024 22:03

@Choux I am white my latest blood tests came back pre diabetes that’s all. I have just checked my orders and it says awaiting prescription..

Nats060816 · 27/10/2024 22:05

@Choux yeah that’s my BMI start of the day

Choux · 27/10/2024 22:14

Did you submit a weight that gives a BMI of 29.9? There a strong chance you will be rejected in which case have a nice lunch and dinner and try another supplier when you weigh a bit more.

Bakedpumpkin · 27/10/2024 22:20

Good lord had a few drinks at lunch today and ate half a large tube of Pringles then had my normal dinner a few hours later of home made curry and rice and I have stomach pain and feel sick! Previously I would have polished off a large dairy milk no problemo and had seconds. Week 3.

@AllstarFacilier
Did you get an answer? I can't see one.
I wanted to know if Med express lets you know when to order or you just guess?

Iwouldratherbesinging · 27/10/2024 22:30

@Rockfordpeach welcome back! Sorry you’ve had a rough week, previous to starting this journey I always found it hard if hubby was away, evenings were the worst. He hasn’t been away since starting, so that will be interesting’ when he does.
I wonder how far into this journey people’s relationship with food changes? I haven’t been hungry this evening but food has been on my mind a lot.

Med express started emailing me about 2 and a half weeks before my next pen was due with reminders every few days! I’ve ordered it today and it’s been approved and dispatched.

Seattlegirl72 · 27/10/2024 23:22

@Iwouldratherbesinging thank you!

YummyCookie · 27/10/2024 23:25

@Seattlegirl72 if you have a look on med express under your order history, it tells you when you are able to order your next pen. They send a reminder email a couple of weeks in. Then you can order again. You don’t need to wait the full 4 weeks. It was also dispatched the day after ordering, so really quick. I emailed them after and they have credited my account with £11 to price match one of the cheaper ones.

The weight is sliding off me on 5mg. I’ve ’lost’ 3.75lbs since Friday. If it keeps up like this I’ll be checking in with GP as I feel 5-7lbs a week is excessive. I doubt it will keep up like this but will be keeping an eye on it.

I was up 5am this morning to get ready for a competition. No time / forgot to eat before I competed at 11am, and half way round I was nearly sick from exertion / empty stomach. Won’t be doing that again!

On the plus side, my competition jacket that I had to SQUEEZE into in August zipped up much easier today and I could actually move in it!

FuckOffGerms · 28/10/2024 04:23

Has anyone found their periods affected by MJ? I’m four days late and no sign of it. And definitely not pregnant.

littleburn · 28/10/2024 05:59

@FuckOffGerms I started my first period on MJ yesterday. It was on time but I had the worse backache with pain radiating down my leg and pretty heavy for me. However, I have slightly tweaked my HRT this month too, so could be a result of that.

I was doing a bit of googling yesterday and periods changing seems to be fairly common due to the link between blood sugars and hormones, but should settle down over a few cycles.

lapuf · 28/10/2024 06:08

Are you an equestrian if you wear a jacket for completing? I have my first competition since July in three weeks and don't want to be bursting out of my navy jacket!

letshavetea · 28/10/2024 06:14

i took my bonus dose (5) last night. I weighed today and after four weeks on MJ I have lost only two and a half pounds! This week I’ve put on half a pound but I have been away for the weekend. I shall keep going.

ItsMintUpNorth · 28/10/2024 06:25

Didn't have chance to post after I weighed yesterday but week 3 I lost 1lb, a bit disheartening as I've still been eating well although wasn't actually calorie counting so I could well have been having more calories than I thought. So aim for this week is to calorie count every day to make sure too many little treats aren't sneaking in as the appetite suppression has definitely been less. It has helped me decide I will definitely go up to 5 though so just waiting for payday to order the next pen and I'll use the bonus dose next Sunday in the meantime, I might even try 3.75 for my first week as I am worried about side effects!

Mincepieinthesky · 28/10/2024 06:47

@FuckOffGerms my period was delayed by 10 days. But like PP the lower backache that I got was awful, radiating from side to side. It went as soon as period started. Positives for me were zero bloat and less cramps so not all bad.

My first thought too. Wondering if I might be able to get my posh long boots on soon that I have kept since pre child!

SunQueen24 · 28/10/2024 06:54

How have people found their period cravings? I get a raging hunger starting 5-7 days before my cycle.

ApolloandDaphne · 28/10/2024 06:55

I did my second injection last night and seem to have woken up very hungry.

SunQueen24 · 28/10/2024 07:16

I have just changed my gusto boxes too - I can’t eat a full portion and often have leftovers for lunch. There’s going to be some waste this week!

I am indeed! For all my sins.

One of my biggest motivators for MJ was that I was getting towards too big and ineffective for the horses. And also that even though I was very active and ate well enough (if you know, you know) the weight was piling on so I knew there had to be something biologically amiss.

I came back to competing in August after 10 months off and I could barely get into my jacket. And it’s a technical with a bit stretch. Wouldn’t have dared even try my tweed 😂

Yesterday it zipped and buttoned up easily- no sucking or needing a hand from OH!
