I know you lot like a picture... a few minutes walk from home.

Think I added the photo this time!

@troppibambini6 you need to get the right kind of red, something that flatters your skin tone. And something you will wear again and again and again.

@poppym12 take care and I hope you feel better soon x

NippyCrab · 05/11/2024 19:05

owlyboo · 05/11/2024 18:24

Just to add she doesn't seem in pain, I've squeezed her foot/leg in lots of places to see if there's any areas she seems in pain in/check nothing in there but nothing 🤷‍♀️ and she stood to eat her tea and put weight on it. Any advice (that isn't going to worry the crap out of me before I can get her to a vet tomorrow) please feel free to give it!

Aw the wee sausage, maybe she's just stood on something like a stone and bruised the soft area between the pads? Was she running about? They are such a worry and it's always at the most awkward times, after 6pm or a flipping Sunday! If she's still limping a bit, depending on her weight she could have a 1/2 paracetamol or do you have any Loxicom? I bet you will worry and the wee minx will be right as rain tomorrow. X

NippyCrab · 05/11/2024 19:07

@20bloodypounds what a beautiful photo, it looks so tranquil.

And on we plod!
Has anyone ever scared themselves by thinking of the pound per pound (£/lb) price of MJ? I darent even calculate the 'per stone' price! Oh well, you can't put a price on thr joy of feeling slimmer a d moving more, easily, clothes fitting more comfortably etc!

I will work it out at the end

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/11/2024 19:37

Thanks @Changinghabits1973 and well done on NSV

NSV for me as well

I had a little old biddy I know say to me today oh dearie youve lost weight

I see her maybe once every few weeks walking the dog and she's noticed

Changinghabits1973 · 05/11/2024 19:46

@Blondeshavemorefun that's great ! It's so nice and uplifting when people notice... I also get and understand though people are sometimes hesitant to comment in case it isn't a weight loss journey they are on due to illness... I see the same people a lot so it becomes less noticeable I think although am looking forward to losing a bit more for the compliments to kick in ! Having lost 3 stone and not that many people commenting it's like how many more stone do I need to lose for a uplift??!! I may have to start paying for compliments !!!!! 😂😂😂

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/11/2024 19:57

The first 1.5/2 no one said anything

But getting more comments now which is nice

Asked how obv - I just said smaller portions and no snacks. Which is true

weaseleyes · 05/11/2024 20:08

@20bloodypounds I have been having a similar veg box dilemma - but probably helped by being vegetarian so I eat mainly veg. I've taken to going shopping the day after it arrives so I build the week's food around it - cunningly pursuing my twin agenda to prevent waste and save money to pay for jabs!

I remember being made to eat everything on my plate. It was a torment sometimes and particularly odd as I was overweight as a child and my mother was constantly critical of me for it, even though I was never allowed to help myself to food, so I wasn't really culpable. Years later, when I was an adult, I remember her laughing about how my much older siblings would have to help dish up meals and they'd always give me way more food than I could eat so they could finish it when I couldn't. I was so hurt that this was a funny story when it was evidently one of the things contributing to me being overweight in the first place.

owlyboo · 05/11/2024 20:12

Lovely photo
@20bloodypounds!

@NippyCrab thanks for the kind words! She doesn't run... 😂 she a chubby elderly bulldog bless her. So she was just plodding along the pavement. But obviously could still have hurt her foot/maybe slipped on some leaves and I didn't see! Hopefully it'll be something if nothing but with her being older my first thought is always the worst! As you do!

@Blondeshavemorefun it's nice when people notice and comment!

@Changinghabits1973 I don't think I would comment on someone's weight loss unless I knew they were trying to lose weight and as I haven't told a bunch of people I agree that I don't expect that many to comment! It's still lovely when they do though!

NippyCrab · 05/11/2024 20:35

@owlyboo oh I love bulldogs, I used to walk one and she was adorable, so loving and squishy. Hopefully she will be okay tomorrow.

@Blondeshavemorefun ah that's brilliant, it's smiled at dearie, bless her.

owlyboo · 05/11/2024 20:45

Thanks @NippyCrab she is the cutest. Fingers crossed she's better by the morning! It's horrible when they can't tell you what's wrong isn't it! She just chilled lying down sleeping on the mat so seems okay, bless her!

Changinghabits1973 · 05/11/2024 20:47

@owlyboo hope your lovely dog is a bit better tomorrow..
I know it's not the same but when I had my dog bless him, a choc lab, if we ever had to put him in kennels which was rare I remember he used to come back and after a few hours he developed a limp.. I then noticed him standing and eating his dinner etc and then moments later he must have forgotten which leg he had limped on because he then started doing it on the other leg... he was being crafty and think just wanting attention or punishing us for putting him in kennels !! It happened twice under the same circumstances different months and our vet thought it was quite funny as me panicking made urgent appointments and ££££££££££££ later he was absolutely fine 🙂!!! They are like children sometimes! X

NippyCrab · 05/11/2024 20:57

@Changinghabits1973 I'm laughing so much at this! They are manipulators for sure. @owlyboo our boy has had 2 years of issues with allergies, we've found a fab dermatologist and he's a different dog, so happy. But I used to say to DH, he looks so depressed and he said och don't be daft, but we worry so much about them don't we.

I'm going to try the clear whey Vimto, is it a My Protein product or just from any supermarket?

Changinghabits1973 · 05/11/2024 21:01

I got mine from Asda as I was there getting several bits but I know it's on clubcard price at Tesco at the minute and also Myprotein have a sale on and think there's 15% off with a free shaker ! I have a shaker and you know the silver thing (forgot what you call it !!) that goes inside to help dissolve the lumps , well I didn't even use that on the vimto flavour, it mixed effortlessly !

owlyboo · 05/11/2024 21:13

Thanks @Changinghabits1973 that's why I didn't rush her down tonight as she can be a bit of a drama queen so as she's standing to eat etc. and also still walked over to sit by the table when we ate in case anything dropped down I thought... she's not an emergency case 😂

I just gave her feet a good old clean before I put her to bed in case something was in her paw.

Funny your dog used to do that my old dog used to limp if we told him off or if he'd done something wrong!! Would immediately lift a paw and limp as if 'they won't tell off an injured dog!'

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/11/2024 22:09

Forgot to do injection last night 🤦🏻‍♀️ did it this morning before weigh in. Another lb off, bringing me down to -2st9/37lb/16.8kg. I’m always a little bit disappointed with a lb but need to remember I have lost a lot in the time on MJ and a few “slow” weeks will do me good.

Weigh ins: -7, -5, -3, -2, -5, -5, -1, -3, -1, -4, -1 ✨

Makelikeatreeandleaf · 06/11/2024 07:25

@SilverSprings510 you're doing amazingly! You are a couple of days behind me if my counting is correct - it's my 12th jab on Saturday and I'm hoping to get 2lb off for a total 21lb loss in 3 months.

Dogsandswimming · 06/11/2024 07:42

I responded well to 2.5mg but with some nausea and was nervous about the jump to 5mg so thought I was being clever, and avoiding increased side effects by taking 5mg as 2.5mg twice a week.

It's all unravelled over the last couple of weeks, the nausea was becoming worse and I felt really flat albeit I still had suppression - I was getting increasingly miserable.

I wondered if it's because the MJ never dropped in my system between jabs?

So I've decided to follow the bloody rules (!) and I've left it 6 days from my last jab and will try 3.75mg tonight and then take it weekly.

On the more positive side I've lost 16lb and feel SO much better overall, I just need to get on top of the dosage.

owlyboo · 06/11/2024 07:57

Well done @SilverSprings510 great consistent losses!!

Well done of the losses @Dogsandswimming, hopefully the nausea eases soon!

Little pup update for those messaging last night. She seems a lot better today. Still a slight limp but remarkably better than last night. So I'm going to go for my walk (without her obviously!!) this morning and then assess how she is when I get home. 🤞🤞

Changinghabits1973 · 06/11/2024 09:10

Morning everyone...

@owlyboo pleased doggy is feeling a bit better this morning... bet you have sighed a slight sigh of relief knowing that it is going in the right direction.... hopefully it continues today.... hugs...

@SilverSprings510 well done on your loss - Congrats x
@Blondeshavemorefun - have just linked at your link on Amazon; that's a good price i think.. and the flavours sound nice ... it may give that variety a try after this one - change things up a bit and see - always nice to try other things.. i really hope you like it x

Weigh in day this morning - i honestly didn't think i would have lost given what i ate at the weekend, but since then i have honestly been back on the train and focused as well as doing lots of swimming - I also did a 2 mile walk yesterday afternoon and i think that has paid off....

A loss this week of ..... 2.6 lb !! Am happy...

I just need another 1 lb to get under the 16st bracket, so am fingers crossed for next week's weigh in - and I may even see a 15st something... I am manifesting !!! xx 😉

owlyboo · 06/11/2024 09:47

Thanks @Changinghabits1973 🤞🤞

Well done on the loss!!

Raining leaves on my walk this morning 🍂🍂

Morning all. Feeling grim. DD made smores last night and I had a couple. Within an hour I had stomach ache and felt bloated. Then I woke up in the night with nasty griping pains so got up to take Milk of Magnesia. I felt really dreadful and had a high pitched ringing in my ears, I felt like I was passing out! Got back in bed and felt icy cold but also sweating, I've never experienced anything like it?

This morning I still have some griping pains and an upset stomach. Tummy still bloated.

I can't believe I could react so strongly to smores? Anyone else had an extreme reaction to sugar like this?
