At last I'm feeling back on an even keel and ready to take another dose of 2.5mg tomorrow, my 8th I think. I ate a big brunch and will have various japanese nibbles (including lots of veg) tonight. I find that small dishes that I can pick at suit me well in the evening - I'm neither plating up a mouse's portion of food nor leaving lots.
Apart from week 1 when I lost 5lbs I am just losing slowly but relatively steadily. I'm fine with that.
@InfoSecInTheCity I think that prescribing statins for high cholesterol can be an easy 'fix' for the NHS. If you don't know what your baseline is then you might want to discuss continuing with MJ, diet, exercise, lifestyle changes and see where it gets you. As we see on all these threads our bodies respond so, so differently to medication that I am increasingly sceptical of standard pharmaceutical regimes. My own experience on blood pressure meds is that if I take nothing my BP is extremely erratic, but if I take half the minimum dose it stays stable an at an acceptable level. GP can't prescribe that dose because it is not proven to be clinically effective. So they prescribe a full dose and I take half, throwing the rest away. It's only pharmaceutical industry profits that are getting any benefit out of that!
But, of course if you need medication, you must take it don't listen to a random on the net
