That's great. Congrats on getting started. You might want to join the October support threads though so you are with others at a similar stage to you. Obviously you are welcome here too. 😊

I'm just learning about Mountjaro, having just started week 1.
Can I ask how/why you do 3.75, I thought it was 2.5 for 4 weeks, then onto 5

Thanks so much if you can explain

Hi i just wanted to go up slowly which im glad i did as i have tummy ache today and very tired! For some people its fine to go up to 5 with no issues i just had a feeling i would so just being causious!
Good luck with your journey. 🙂
3.75 is 45 clicks from a 5mg pen

alwaysscared · 18/10/2024 16:51

So I've done the 3.5mg jab. I'm worried but just had to do it! Thanks for the new thread

Thebirdsandthebeads · 18/10/2024 16:53

Present! Thanks for the shiny new thread, OP @doodleschnoodle

theluckiest · 18/10/2024 17:13

Thanks for the new thread!!

I'm in a quandary. I've got my bonus dose left and my new 5mg pen.

Suppression is wearing off towards the end of the week on 2.5 so I think I'm ready to move up to 5mg. BUT I don't want to waste that lovely bonus dose!!

Should I just suck it up and go to the 5???!

SwiftiesVSLestat · 18/10/2024 17:20

Just checking in!

sylv165 · 18/10/2024 17:36

@theluckiest Im debating the same. I have good suppression for the first part of the week in 2.5, but find my appetite coming back o er the weekend. Might go for 3.75 for a week then brave the 5

KittyGetSmall · 18/10/2024 17:48

I'm really struggling today :(

Had 2.5mg Sunday and 2.5mg Thursday and I've drank water all day but not ate.

I just had no desire and didn't think
Now I'm say with a bowl of veg chilli and have FORCED about 6 forkfuls in and I just want to throw up.

I know I need to eat because I don't feel great but ever spoonful is making me gag

oulala · 18/10/2024 17:58

I have just done jab 2 of my 5ml pen. No symptoms so far, I have had to change the way I eat though. I have been keeping to a lower calorie diet but as I feel full after very little I have struggled to keep up the minimum calories. I have now switched up to higher calorie (but still healthy) food and I have lost 4.5 lbs. So that makes 22.6 lbs since 15th September.

I can't believe how much my palate has changed though. I used to have a carb addiction, craved bread 🥖 but I am not at all bothered by it now.

Thebirdsandthebeads · 18/10/2024 17:59

Can you eat something dry instead like bread or crackers? @kittygetsmall

Elephantino · 18/10/2024 18:06

Today was my 8th injection. I have did 4 x 2.5, a bonus dose, 2 x 3.75 and today have taken 5.

I put on half a pound this week so my loss since 1st September is now 8.6lbs. I'm seeing other people at my stage almost 2 stone down! I'm disappointed tbh but sometimes it doesn't show in the scales?. I do feel so much slimmer especially round my middle. I was wearing a size 20 when I started and now wearing a 16.

I'm actually thinking of just weighing at the end of each pen as its getting me down a bit with the weight not really changing. My weight loss in October is a straight line on my fitbit app.

I wish I had measured myself at the start.

MissBPotter · 18/10/2024 18:32

Evening all and thanks for new thread. I’ve done my last dose of the first 2.5 pen and asked to stay in 2.5 for now as I still feel quite a lot of suppression.

just had a small salmon fillet for dinner and I’m stuffed. Tried to eat some veg with it but too full!

spinningisthebest · 18/10/2024 18:47

Checking in. 12 lbs down. Delighted. Some nausea on 5mg so have taken kwells to help

HippoPortlyMouse · 18/10/2024 18:53

Thanks @doodleschnoodle for the new thread. We do go on a bit don't we?

Well done @alwaysscared. Wishing you a very smooth titration!

@theluckiest do you know how much is in your bonus dose? It is probably more than 2.5mg so might well make a good transition to 5.0mg plus then you feel you've not wasted any. Although if you're feeling suppression is failing, can understand why you'd want to go straight to 5.

@KittyGetSmall Sympathies, that sounds really frustrating. It's hard getting a dose balanced between total suppression and powerful hunger. I hope it eases off for you in the next few hours and you can eat something. Try something high calorie for a change, to get some energy in?

@oulala me too! I don't recognise myself. I was a total carb addict. I've not eaten bread or crisps for ages, and I've not wanted them. Feels like my brain has been reprogrammed.

85reasons · 18/10/2024 21:01

Checking in - delighted to report that 15 hours after 5mg first dose, I am not feeling any bad side effects 🎉🙌🏼

I'm so pleased because the last couple of weeks I feel like I've been apprehensive about it all, and weight loss had slowed/stopped, and I was feeling like I wasn't doing things "quite right".

Felt good at dinner to join in with what everyone else was eating, but eat a much smaller amount than I would have done previously. One of the best things about this for me is letting go of that “all or nothing”, verging towards bingeing or restricting mentality. It’s just eating less, and mostly eating the healthy option just because it’s what I fancy, not because I ought/should really.

alwaysscared · 18/10/2024 21:08

Its crazy. Was shopping in Aldi earlier and bought my husband cakes and biscuits (he's skinny as a rake 🙄) and I had no desire for them at all. I used to have such a sweet tooth!
2.5mg must have still been doing something for me!

halloweenscat · 18/10/2024 22:25

Please can I ask you all who are already on this journey, where do you recommend for weight loss injections?

Not necessarily the cheapest but the most straight forward to register/ order etc?
Thank you.

Sounds like you're all doing so well.

mimosa1 · 18/10/2024 22:36

Found you!

LucyBnotG · 18/10/2024 22:39

@halloweenscat Hello. There are so many options and people have different experiences with each of them. For people who might reach a healthy bmi relatively quickly, considering which providers offer maintenance plans is important.

I am so far away from maintenance so I went on price and ease of ordering. Most recently I have ordered from Pharmulous and it was very easy and straightforward. There are lots of prescriber options on this website which show delivery price/discount codes etc. https://monj.co.uk/
