Oh wow lots of you seem to be approaching normal BMIs and goal weight. Well done to you all, that is fantastic 🎉

OvaHere · 02/12/2024 23:12

Also not updated for a while. I started at 14st 6 and last week I was 12st 4. I also according to my tracker have gone into the overweight category and out of the obese category so that felt like a big win. I wanted to be 2 stone down by Xmas and I have surpassed that.

SpottyBumPony · 03/12/2024 10:30

Week 14, I've felt like I haven't been progressing this month although my suppression is good and I don't think I've eat unhealthily. But I've looked at the stats and I'm nicely on track. I'm loosing on average 4.75kg a month so really nice, smooth progress.

I've gone from Obese II to Obese I and I'm wearing size 18 jeans today. So really, I should be - and am - very pleased.

Just realised I've passed 100 days of logging and tracking my weight, 107 days to be exact and this is what it looks like:

15.17% bodyweight lost
Which is 33lb or 15kg
Gone from a BMI of 33 to 28

@InfoSecInTheCity that is an amazing graph, thanks for sharing it. I imagine there were a few points when you thought you'd stalled or your weight had gone up, but that graph encourages me to keep on going through it all.

I've returned from holiday and have lost 4.5lbs over the 2 weeks. Excellent news since I'd been in a stall/minor loss for a few weeks. Fingers crossed I can continue and lose another 1.5lbs before Christmas to take me into a brand new stone bracket. I've lost more than 12% of my starting weight and although it's been slow I need to appreciate that I'm short with a very slight frame so I'm unlikely to drop huge amounts.

And the total amount I've lost is more than the weight of my holiday luggage. I looked at it on the conveyor belt in baggage reclaim and thought 'bloody hell, I used to have all that baggage on my body!' Grin

Good to hear from those who are approaching a lower BMI and considering maintenance options. I moved to Oushk last month in preparation, although I'm still about a stone away...

SwiftiesVSLestat · 03/12/2024 13:35

Hi all!

hope you are all well. I haven’t weighed in this week. My period is due and never weigh that week.

but 2 NSV! My belly overhang isn’t over hanging on one side anymore. Still is on the other but I will take it.and I tried on a dress from 2 years ago that I might wear for the Christmas party and it fits with a bit of room to spare. So can save money on that outfit for this years Christmas do.

drowningbutwaving · 03/12/2024 22:02

Placed an order for my next pen today and just noticed this message on my order history. It's awaiting prescription and not sure if this means it might be rejected.

Wednesday weigh-in and I am another 2lbs down. Delighted with that as I was away for 5 days without much control over what I was eating.

I haven’t been this weight since pre-Covid and am really noticing the difference. I had a dress on yesterday that I couldn’t even squeeze into before, and now it is loose. Another 7lbs and I’ll be at my lowest weight for 10 years!

MissBPotter · 04/12/2024 06:29

Weigh in day for me and going to jab later. Another two lbs down and got in to the next stone bracket which is amazing for me! I can’t believe it. I was away for part of the week as well and I’ve been quite sedentary…. So happy.

on track for Xmas goal of two stone gone.

Bumblebeehum · 04/12/2024 07:43

Congratulations Wednesday weighers!

It's not check-in day for me, but I have as it's important. In just less than 3 months I've gone from Obese 3 to Obese 1 - still a long way to go, but feeling good!

Hildabaggins · 04/12/2024 09:43

well done on all the loses! Everyone’s doing great 👍

I am getting close to having lost 2st, I’ve lost 23.5lb so far. I am nearly in the 10st something bracket. I need to get lose another 8lb to be a healthy BMI.

I am really struggling to decide what to do about carrying on with it though. I feel generally pretty flat and down since I’ve been on it so I am quite keen to come off it. But that will mean going it alone over the festive season and I don’t think that’s a good idea! I think I’ll do one more pen to get me into the new year then I can see how I get on once all the Christmas treats are gone!

EBoo80 · 04/12/2024 10:40

@Hildabaggins have you had a maintenance consultation with anyone? I’m also sticking at current dose through to January, and then trying to reduce down, but there are a bunch of options including jabbing every 9 days, and one month on, one off. I had no idea these were now permissible for prescribers to offer, and it’s making me feel better about the end game.

SacreBleugh · 04/12/2024 11:37

I've been injecting with no problems for the past 12 weeks but I have noticed that the last couple of times my skin has been red and irritated. Can't work out what I'm doing differently. Anyone else experience this?

Oh no, I wonder what is going on. I’ve not had this.

I haven’t. I’m with Asda, I’ve not spoken to their doctors at all.

SpiderMother · 04/12/2024 23:36

I feel kind of lost tonight. Due to have a work party tomorrow where dress code is Xmas jumpers. I only have one which I wore to a different event last year with a black satin skirt. Just tried the outfit on and both are so massive I can’t wear them. Its good in that it shows what I’ve achieved but I feel so sad about how I must have looked last year and I also feel really self conscious about losing weight and don’t know what I am actually going to wear tomorrow now. All of my clothes are starting to feel much too big now, even my underwear. But I also still have a stone to lose so I don’t want to spend money on new stuff yet. It’s a good problem I suppose. But I was hoping to find going to this kind of thing less stressful this year and it isn’t.

I get this every week since I moved to about 7.5mg or 10mg. Big red itchy patch of skin around the injection site. It stops itching after a few days and then fades over the next couple of weeks.

I took myself to Primark and got myself a couple of jumpers for work because I was starting to look very saggy. I'm still wearing baggy trousers which isn't ideal but like you I don't want to waste money as I've still got over a stone to go. There are some cheap Xmas jumpers in the shops and cheap skirts etc - you could always buy them for them for the party and sell on Vinted straight after. I've noticed though how much better I feel about myself having a couple of new things - I really recommend it. It's also given me the energy to start clearing stuff out of my wardrobe that I never liked even when I could fit into them. I think because losses are slow it's ok to get a couple of items to wear to death in the intermediary stages. I appreciate money is tight this time of year though. Don't feel down however - you're doing a great thing for your
Health.

EBoo80 · 05/12/2024 07:44

Have also had some sad moments like that @SpiderMother - I hope you can grab half an hour and pick up a couple smaller Christmas jumpers to wear.

SpottyBumPony · 05/12/2024 09:33

Thank you for the SockShop stacking codes. I've got 6 pairs of sports socks for me, 3 pairs bamboo socks for me, 3 pairs bamboo socks for my mum, 5 pairs bamboo socks for DS, lounge trousers and shorts for DH and a free pair of boxers for DH for £40.78!

SpottyBumPony · 05/12/2024 09:33

Hahaha wrong thread!

Hildabaggins · 05/12/2024 09:46

I caved and ordered another pen last night. That will definitely be my last one! I’m wary of not being on it over the festive season. But once that is out of the way, I’m planning on coming off it and going it alone.
I’m not sure how much more I want to lose. My BMI is currently 26.5.

HippoPortlyMouse · 05/12/2024 10:28

@SacreBleugh have you changed injection site? I had exactly the same when I injected in my thigh, but so far no recurrence injecting in my tummy. Some people have less reactions with the longer needle tips, but I've been fine on 4mm so can't give a personal opinion on that.

@Hildabaggins congratulations on the loss and nearing the end of your journey! I can't say I blame you for staying on it through the festive season. Please keep us updated with how you go in maintenance. It seems a long way off for some of us, but hopefully we'll all be there in time.

I bought a sparkly top from the normal section of H&M rather than the curve collection. Got an XL, an X might have worked too. Still got a long way to go.

I am about 4 weeks behind my target. I was over ambitious with a 2lb weekly loss. I had a surprise two week break when I was unexpectedly away from home.

Week 13ish (first injection 6 Sept 2024 so 3 months in, I am at my first milestone of under 200lbs. Total weight loss is 1 stone 8.5lbs or 10.18%. I feel like I've got my second wind, next milestone is overweight. I need another mini milestone.

20bloodypounds · 05/12/2024 12:22

@SpiderMother I know how you feel. We had a family holiday in the summer with dc and dgc and I detest how I must have looked in my swimming costume Sad My cossie has gone the way of most and is thin and stretched and sad looking but I will not buy another until next year.

And I know my baggy trousers are doing my pancake arse no favours at all!!

Given you're never going to wear that 2023 Christmas jumper again, is there any way you can cut the Xmas motifs out and stick them (temporarily) to another jumper? Tell people you've donated the cost to charity - all good for deflecting attention. I have to say though that although I'm anxious about others noticing (and commenting) on my weight loss, or noticing how little I'm eating, I've found that in generally people care so much less than I might have thought! One friend who was on Ozempic for diabetes looks and comments, but I think my family are just glad to see me eating (and drinking!) less, and other are possibly concerned with their own self-image and inner demons.
