@85reasons do you suffer from seasonal affective disorder at all? (I don't, but friends do, and it's really kicking in hard right now). I think the cold and dark can have a big impact on us unconsciously, whether we realise it or not. Our primal brains want to eat fat and hide a cave by the fire till spring.
Plus, it's been 2-3 months since we started the mounjaro journey. The 'new diet' novelty has worn off. New lifestyle changes we embraced are being tested hard. It's a marathon not a sprint, and some bits of a marathon are a right slog (disclaimer: I have never run a marathon, I can barely run for a bus).
Then - there's age. We're all older now than last time we were at a lower weight and our bodies do naturally change. So we're unlikely to look the same when the weight comes off, which can cause some cognitive dissonance when we look in the mirror. Not only do we look different, but we don't even look how we thought we would.
We're probably losing weight slower than at the start, or are in a stall. There's still a long way to go for some of us (I'm not at the half way point yet). It is a heavy realisation that we just have to keep going... and going... and there's seasonal hurdles ahead.
So all in all, I think it's totally understandable you're not full of the joys of weight loss right now. Please go easy on yourself. You - we all - have done some amazing work here. Take a minute to look back on what you've achieved and hopefully feel proud. And then tighten your belt (another notch) and let's get through the next day. And the one after that. And the one after that. And you'll find your mojo when you least expect it!
