Snoring definitely much better for me too at 12 lbs down. I've just picked up two 2.5kg barbells to see what it would feel like to be carrying the weight I have lost again and it felt so HEAVY - no wonder I can move more quickly and easily!!!

Yes I like weighing objects to find the amount of weight I’m no longer carrying about! Quite surprising!

Just checking in. 7th jab of 2.5 today, suppression is still good, struggling to reach 1,000 calories yet my weight loss is so slow. I’ve only lost 8.5 lb which I’m pleased with but doesn’t compare with some of the losses I see on here.

You are the same as me! I feel a bit discouraged sometimes as it's a numbers game but I look and feel slimmer....way more than I should be with 8.6 lbs weight loss. I manage to eat just fine and I think I've yet to find my sweet spot in terms of dosage. I'm on my first week of 5 and feel less suppression so willpower is out in full force. Don't feel the urge to eat, but do eat at lunch and dinner time and manage to eat most of what's on my plate.

Anyine noticing any changes in their blood pressure? Mine was around 137/95 on average and now around 120/85, I do also have a very low dose of candesartan blood pressure meds too but I think the weight loss of mounjaro is helping too. Also feel calmer and less stressed which used to cause spikes, sometimes up to 165/95! Now it is consistently low.

I've been on holiday so weighed myself today and have lost 2.3lbs this week, which is my lowest loss yet but I have been on holiday and drinking quite a lot of hot chocolate Blush so I'm glad I've lost at all!

Almost at the 2-stone mark - 23.1lbs lost since I started. Objectively I know I've lost weight and can feel it in clothes but I look in mirror and still feel so squishy Sad Just got to keep on trucking!

SW: 203lbs
CW: 179:2 (my weight app tells me I was last under 180lbs in 2017, pre kids.
GW: About 140 but will see when I get nearer

I’m the same I look the same but my skin is very squishy I’ve got lost to go but happy with the journey so far

Haven't had my BP tested recently but my watch tells me my average resting and active heart rate have decreased and my respiration rate has reduced too.

I have just been sick feeling a little better now but i took my medications an hour ago i would have just sicked them up wouldnt i?

20bloodypounds · 19/10/2024 22:34

@Witchyandtwitchy I had dinner at a friend's house yesterday. First course I was fine and ate it all, then when main was presented I just knew I couldn't eat much of it at all. I was upfront about it - said I'd been feeling unwell a few days before, was fine now, but was eating very gently. Food was delicious but I only ate a couple of mouthfuls. Then I refused any pudding - that convinced them that I must have been a bit under the weather!!

SecondDesk · 20/10/2024 04:50

Exactly 6 weeks on MJ.

I am not feeling the suppression as strong as some you. Awake with heartburn, been feeling nauseated the past three days.

I've had two days of socialising. Still under 2000 calories, but I've eaten a lot more than I have been. These dates have been in the calendar for months. I ate and drank far lesson than I would have and felt bloated.

I will weigh myself later and will inject tonight or tomorrow based on how I feel.

I am a slow loser. No big downward jumps.

Seldomseenkid · 20/10/2024 08:23

Hi all, hope you are all ok this Sunday.

Weekly weigh in number 7 today and 1.5 pounds off, I think I’ve been 1 to 1.5 pounds off for 3 weeks or so. This suit me, I’ve been on my feet at work and doing about 10 hours overtime a week, so I’m eating to 1200 calories each day, or I’ll faint! So I’m just under a stone and a half off in 8 weeks on MJ.

Ive been on doses of between 1.25 and 1.75 since week 2 after a bad first week on 2.5. I’ve settled on 40 clicks of 2.5, so about 1.7, for the last few weeks and it’s working well for me. No side effects and enough suppression to eat small meals and no snacks. I’m ordering another 2.5 pen for next month.

Suppression for me is still some food noise but satisfied with modest meals. I’m someone who has not told anyone I’m doing this so I’ve been eating the same but smaller portions. My food is generally pretty healthy, I was just eating too much and having too much wine.

As always I find these threads so helpful to see all our different experiences. I hope you all have a good week.

85reasons · 20/10/2024 08:41

Fantastic you’ve found an equilibrium with the dose @Seldomseenkid

I am tentatively hopeful I’m in that place too, having had a successful uplift to the 5mg after 2-3 weeks of stumbles. Weight loss had slowed down but that’s okay too, mainly because there’s that belief starting to embed in my mind that this IS going to happen, and this isn’t like previous diets where it feels like walking a tightrope.

As of today my BMI is 27.7, having been 31 when I started on 8th September. I want to lose another 2 stone, although that would take me to 11 stone which I haven’t seen since my early 20s! (Am now 54 😬)

Choux · 20/10/2024 08:41

Congratulations on losing so well on tiny doses @Seldomseenkid. I'm currently on 15mg - so almost 10 times your current dose, have never had any real side effects but have never lost at the rate you are losing even at the beginning. Everyone's so different.

One question I do have if you don't mind sharing your experience... are you using a pen for 5 doses only or keeping going till the pen is used up. Back in April I took my first bonus dose 42 days after I started using my 2.5mg pen and it was fine but am wondering how much I should stick to only using a pen for 30 days once started. I have built a small stockpile of 7.5mg and 10mg pens and am going to soon be at the point I start to titrate down. If I use them for smaller doses they will be in use over 30 days.

7Purpleheartsarmy · 20/10/2024 08:56

After being sick yesterday i have woken up with no appitite at all 😐 but my tummy is rumbling so will try and eat!
Just weighed and back in the 18s 🙂
Sw 20.11
Cw 18.13
Gw 13.0

doodleschnoodle · 20/10/2024 09:01

Some super losses here 👏 I'm yoyoing around between 2.5 and 3.75 as 5 kicked my ass (or rather my digestive system) a bit when I tried the first dose of it.

I am now officially merely overweight and not obese! 29.8 BMI, so just squeaked in but still!

OP posts:
HippoPortlyMouse · 20/10/2024 09:40

@doodleschnoodle what an excellent milestone for you! Congrats on banishing obesity to the past and now being overweight! I've a BMI point or two to go before I get there, I'm aiming for start of December.

(Yes, yes, BMI is a rubbish measure, especially for women. But it does provide us with some rough guidance and some targets to aim at.)

@Seldomseenkid lovely to have you on the thread and thanks for sharing. We've lost similar amounts in the same time frame with a similar history I think - am eating much the same, just smaller (healthy) meals and less wine (or chocolate in my case). That's really interesting to see you and @Choux having such different responses to dosage. I'm pondering the same question Choux posed as I'm currently taking 3mg weekly from a 5mg pen. Initially I was thinking I'd only do a week or so of 3.0 before scaling up the doses, but 3.0 has been more than adequate for suppression so far and I'm not feeling like I want to increase yet. So there'll be a lot left in my pen after 30 days.

@SecondDesk slow losers are the best losers! Slow and steady means your body has time to adapt, less chance of loose skin and more time for your body to reset itself to a slower weight. I know it's proper annoying seeing people post up their huge losses. We all stall sometimes though, some of us for longer than others, and sometimes our bodies just end up taking the scenic route to the end point.

Sorry to hear about the nausea and heartburn. Have you tried any meds for it? I get it sometimes too (had it before mounjaro as well). Small meals, don't skip a meal and sleeping partially upright on a mound of pillows helps. And a box of Rennies in my bedroom drawer!

Seldomseenkid · 20/10/2024 09:49

Hey @Choux last month I only used the pen to 4 doses! I probably had enough for 2 more in that pen but I was panicky about doing anything against the ‘rules’ and chucked it. I’m not doing that again!

So the plan this time is to do the 5 doses from the pen and still be in the 30 day window.

I think writing about all our experiences is really helpful, we all vary so widely. What I would reiterate is that the stone and a half I lost in 8 weeks, a third of that I lost in the first week. It was an extremely unpleasant time and I almost did not continue, until someone posted a link about microdosing and I thought I’d try a half dose in week 2. So I think if I’d have started on a lower dose I would be more like a stone off in 2 months.

InfoSecInTheCity · 20/10/2024 10:23

There is a 13 on my scales this morning 🥳

13 st 13.5 lbs.

Starting weight 15 st 7.5 lbs

Ok I'm literally only just scraping into the 13s but it still counts!

theluckiest · 20/10/2024 11:01

Thanks for the advice all! This thread is an absolute godsend.

I ordered some diabetic syringes so am going to draw out the bonus dose today and use it.

Does anyone have a guide as to how much MJ is in that bonus dose?
I know that 0.6 = 2.5mg

If I draw out more, roughly how much will I have?

TBH, I know it doesn't really matter as it'll be less than next week's 5mg but I'm just interested..

theluckiest · 20/10/2024 11:04

And well done @InfoSecInTheCity!! Going into the next bracket is great!!

I've plateaued and it looks like I've lost nothing this week.
However, I have cramps from hell and am due on today so I know I have lost - it's just not showing on the scales yet ☹️

Choux · 20/10/2024 11:17

Ok @Seldomseenkid perhaps our loss rate is not so different after all. I reckon I have been losing about half a stone a month while obese and overweight (less now my BMI is around 25) which is in line with your loss once you found the right dose for you. But the right dose for you is far, far less than the dose it takes to get my body to shift the weight!

Once I start titrating down I think I will assess on a week by week basis if I am ok to take another dose from a pen now over its 30 day window. As I understand it the potential risks are related to multiple punctures of the red seal introducing bacteria to the medication and potential loss of efficacy after 30 days.

The loss of efficacy doesn't bother me much as the rest of the pen isn't effective at all if you throw it away! I'd rather try it and feel it wasn't as strong than just bin it. I always swab the red seal and would never insert a needle or syringe twice so I do all I can to keep it clean and bacteria free. I don't have any health issues and a strong immune system so feel relatively confident my body could fight a minor infection or I would know it wasn't minor and to seek medical help. There are people doing half doses twice a week so puncturing the seal a lot more than 4 times in a month. Although I am talking about using it more than 4 times AND beyond 30 days so i dont know. i dont think anyone here has ever seen posts anywhere about getting an infection from the medication. but am not medically trained so i dont know if it's a vanishingly small risk or quite possible. i have no conclusions yet.

Choux · 20/10/2024 11:21

@theluckiest 0.6ml = 2.5mg. If you get 0.8ml out that's 3.33mg. You might get a bit more or a bit less but I think 0.8ml is average.

85reasons · 20/10/2024 11:25

@Choux I'm sure lots will advise against that although it's something I'm considering too.

KittyGetSmall · 20/10/2024 11:33

Feeling sick again today
The 2 x 2.5mg in a week is too much for me.
Might wait till a weeks passed and try 3.75

Had 2 quorn sausages as I've not been eating till 5pm because of nausea but I just feel like I want to be sick. Trying to keep them down.

Going to try and eat 3 x a day
Just small things.

Think my period is on the way too so not expecting a loss this week.
