End of week 11 for me today. Second week having upped my calories - i did 10 weeks of fast 800 but felt like I needed to eat a bit more. I lost 1lb this week, same as last week and I'm happy with that now, as I wanted to slow my loss down a bit and I need to start moving towards a more sustainable level of calories.

Total loss over the 11 weeks is 23.7 lbs and total loss is 29.7 lbs. I have 13 lbs left to lose to my goal.

suze12 · 21/11/2024 22:31

It’s the end of week 10 for me and I’ve had the best week suppression wise that I’ve had so far. I managed to get quite a bit out of my 5mg pen for the bonus dose last week but only injected 0.7mls of it in order to get 6.25mg. It’s worked really well for me with a 2lb loss and suppression has lasted all week.

I’ve done 50 clicks out of my new 7.5mg dose this evening to get 6.25mg again as I don’t want to move up the doses too quickly and I’d love a repeat of the great week I’ve had.

mini goal of getting to 12 stone by next Wednesday (1 day earlier than usual weigh in as I’m going away for a few days) is probably a bit unlikely after 2 decent losses in a row but here’s hoping!

SW- 13st5
week one- 13st1 (2.5mg)
week two- 13st1 (2.5mg)
week three- 12st11 (2.5mg)
week four- 12st10 (2.5mg)
week five- 12st9 (bonus dose)
week six- 12st10 (3.75mg)
week seven- 12st6 (5mg)
week eight- 12st7 (5mg)
week nine- 12st4 (5mg)
week ten- 12st2 (6.25mg)
GW- 10st7 or thereabouts

MissBPotter · 22/11/2024 06:52

@SpiderMother and @suze12 amazing losses, it’s good to see those numbers going down.

@SpiderMother im not surprised you need more than 800 calories! I’m typically having 1000-1100. Haven’t managed to get to 1200 so far (although I don’t count coffee unless it’s from costa or Starbucks etc).

im reading a book which is emphasizing the importance of protein and something I thought was interesting was that the body will store food as fat until it gets sufficient protein from a meal, so eat protein before eating anything else.

SwiftiesVSLestat · 22/11/2024 07:14

Just weighed in. Lost 2lb this week. I am happy with that.

32lb since 5th September and now I have exactly 100lb to go to get to what I think is my target.

Would like another 2lb off next week. As that will take me into the next stone bracket as well as officially under 100lb to lose.

sylv165 · 22/11/2024 08:49

Great losses @SwiftiesVSLestat and @suze12!

I am after a bit of advice. I’m going abroad on Tuesday until Sunday, with a group of friends. I am just not sure how to balance enjoying myself and eating and drinking with the group, with not gaining weight or making myself feel terrible. None of them know I am on MJ and I’d rather keep it to myself. But they will almost certainly notice that I am not eating or drinking (especially drinking 😳) like I usually would, so I am wondering if it is better to just be upfront at least with a few of them. That way I won’t feel forced to eat/drink more than I’m comfortable with.

I don’t think they would be judgey so I’m not totally averse to telling them, but I also think that telling a few people will soon enough equal everyone knowing as I’m not sure they are the best at keeping secrets! My big fear is my mum finding out because I know for a fact she would be dead against it. She would sometimes bump into some of my friends and I can easily see a scenario where it slips into conversation with her. What would you all do?

HippoPortlyMouse · 22/11/2024 09:28

Honestly @sylv165 I wouldn't tell them. I would feel bad about it, but worse to end up in a conversation where you're feeling silently or openly judged and there'll be repercussions (like with your mum) later.

I would be truthful about wanting to be healthier, so drinking and eating less, but I'd downplay it. "Oh yes I'm on a health kick. Sorry I'm being boring, only one drink for me tonight, haha!" Then change the subject.

Well done @SwiftiesVSLestat & @suze12 on losses this week. Onwards and ever downwards.

@Hildabaggins lovely NSV when trousers get too loose! I've not had to buy more yet although I do need new bras as my boobs are now sad sacks flopping about in my current ones.

@Morecoffeeforme I never got big losses either, well done for losing steadily!

sylv165 · 22/11/2024 09:43

@HippoPortlyMouse yes they do know I am dieting and have lost weight as we have been out a couple of times and I have been driving instead of drinking and eating salad/small portions. I think at least one of them suspects, but no one actually knows. They would definitely react well as we had a conversation about them once and they were all very much of the view that if you have struggled with other options you should take them. But as you say there will likely be consequences as much as I love them they couldn’t keep a secret to save their lives 🤣

doodleschnoodle · 22/11/2024 09:48

Amazing losses everyone 👏

I had a couple of weeks of kind of a stall. The first week on 5 I had really bad diarrhoea and lost 4lbs in one week, then the next two weeks I kind of stayed the same which was a bit frustrating. I've worked back up to 5 this week and handling it a lot better, but I also realised I wasn't eating enough again so I've made an effort to eat more and the weight has started shifting again. Such a weird thing weight loss, for all the 'calories in and calories out' stuff, it seems to be much more complex, which I think we all on here probably knew already!

Anyway:

SW: 203lb
CW: 167lbs
GW: 135

36lbs lost altogether

doodleschnoodle · 22/11/2024 09:52

Interesting to read the protein chat. I have traditionally been a carbs fiend, I love carbs. But I've really shifted what I eat to much heavier protein weighting. I find the Graham's protein yoghurts pretty nice, and I can just about manage one pouch for breakfast, so that's 25g already. I think it certainly helps with energy as being on a vlcd previously has made me feel weak and listless but I seem to be avoiding that. I really like the little individual chicken satays for snacks now.

85reasons · 22/11/2024 10:18

Jab day for me today - third dose from 7.5mg pen. Suppression is good and my weight loss seems to be moving down again after not shifting much with 5mg doses.

SW 201.6 BMI 31
CW 175.6 BMI 26.8
GW 154 BMI 23.6

StanleyCup · 22/11/2024 10:23

Just checking in with results and goals. Very successful week with 6lbs down (some of this was last weeks water weight) ill be taking my bonus dose from the 5mg and then starting a new pen. Might stick to 3.75mg as it’s working just fine. 2 pens, just over 2 stones off in 2.5 months! Mounjaro has been amazing for my health and confidence. Im hoping to get in the lower half of the 11s by next week. 🙏

SW- 13.10 8/9/24
Wk 1 - 13.3
Wk 2 - 13.1
Wk 3 - 12.13
Wk 4 - 12.10
Wk 5 - 12.10 (bonus dose)
Wk 6 - 12.6 (2.5 from 5 pen)
Wk 7 - 12.4 (3.75mg)
Wk 8 - 12.0
wk 9 - 11.12
wk10 - 12.0
Wk11 - 11.8 (3.75mg)
UGW- 10

ginnybag · 22/11/2024 11:09

I'm currently on 4.25mg a week, although I think I'm going to lift that to the full 5mg (and then order 7.5mg for my 4th pen) as I have been getting 'snacky' in the evenings.

However, end of week 11 for me and I am a lovely round 190lbs dead on!

Start weight 225.5lbs, so its a 35.5lb loss overall, which is incredible.

I'm very short, so my BMI is still 35.9 and I still have somewhere between 40-60lbs to lose to be anything close to a proper weight, but it's still incredible progress, and far better than I've ever done before.

Lots of little goals on the horizon -

-1lb to be 13 and half stone and 18-something lbs.
-5lbs to have lost 40lbs
-7lbs to have lost 3 stone (and to be the lightest weight I have on record)
-9lbs to be 12 stone-something on the scales.

Hoping for the first next week, and the the next somewhere around Christmas/New Year. Realistically, this has to start slowing down at some point so I don;t want to get too carried away, although I'd love that 12-something by my daughter's birthday towards the end of Jan.

EBoo80 · 22/11/2024 11:11

Not sure if it counts as a NSV but I’ve lost another 4cm off my waist measurement, despite a couple of weeks steady on the scales. So happy with that, given the extra health issues of weight around the middle, and my body shape.
I really wish I’d taken more measurements when I started (only did waist) as my thighs have pleasantly surprised me too. Did anyone do the whole shebang of neck, limbs, hips etc?

alwaysscared · 22/11/2024 11:12

The midweek 1.5lb loss has gone back on for no real reason. I'm getting so frustrated. Keep seeing people with big losses and I just wish I could be like that

HOL2024 · 22/11/2024 11:15

I’m on holiday, trying to be sensible with food options etc. delaying my jab for 3 days this week as didn’t want to bring it with me but the hardest thing for me is that I usually weigh everyday and the hotel doesn’t have a scales. I have no idea if I’m staying the same or going up.

Elephantino · 22/11/2024 11:43

I wrote last week that I had reduced my dose to 2.5 as I was titrating down to stop.

This week I have lost 2.5lbs and I feel so much better. I've not had this kind of loss since the first week when I lost 3lbs. This is week 12 for me and I am down 13lbs.

I've not done anything differently this week, still logging food and in a calorie deficit. I don't feel as tired and also managing to go to the toilet regularly which has got to help too.

EBoo80 · 22/11/2024 11:49

Amazing @Elephantino - that’s really nice to hear. Do you have a plan for when you’ll stop?

I have measured my waist, round my middle at the biggest part (belly button) and hips. I’ve lost 5cm off my waist, 8cm off my middle and 6cm off my hips.

If I keep feeling better on 2.5mg and continue losing I might just keep going. How I have felt on 5mg was not good but it took me a few weeks to realise it could be the dose...I almost felt like my body was slowing down and I was so tired/sore. Of course it may be hormone related but I feel more confident to keep going.

I love seeing everyone's stories and I would say the majority of the September starters are losing well and noticing high changes in their bodies. Maybe my posts will balance it out a little for those people who are losing at a slower pace. Despite not even at a stone loss yet I am fitting so much better into clothes and my stomach has gone down a lot. Just need the boobs to start getting smaller to balance me up 😂

HippoPortlyMouse · 22/11/2024 14:39

NSV for me - bought bras a band size down, cups the same - perfect fit!

Thornymum · 22/11/2024 14:40

So happy this morning!! Weighed in and I've lost 2.5lb which is great but it also pushed me, just, into the next stone bracket!!

sylv165 · 22/11/2024 15:46

@EBoo80 i did measure my waist at the start but then forgot. Your post reminded me I should do it again - I have lost 11cms. More than I thought!

EBoo80 · 22/11/2024 16:09

Exactly same as me @sylv165. Very gratifying!

Hi everyone,

Well done on the keeping on. I'm trying to eat more protein too (my poor hair!) as I know it's important.

@sylv165 I honestly think people will be less focused on your eating and drinking than you think. I've found no one REALLY notices that much so I'm in the camp of carry on, take the dose, and don't tell anyone since you don't want to and have that extra drink if you decide you fancy it while you're away. Enjoy your holiday!

It's so so cold where I am that the fun of wearing lovely clothes just isn't as nice. None of my clothes are too big yet despite my 7kg loss but they're all fitting better and I've tidied up my wardrobe so I can see everything and I'm enjoying getting dressed in the morning.

That said, I've found a pretty great app for transitional clothing though called Thread+ - it's an online consignment store similar to Vinted except that people send them the clothes they want to sell and they list them. You can search like in a normal online store by brand and size and they take returns! Feels much more like regular online shopping and I've bought a couple of things that I like in a smaller size Grin
