Excellent news, 10storeylovesong. You are where want to be in the very near future.

Well done FelicityBeedle. You must be able to see the difference. I'm dreaming of a 15lbs loss as that would give me my first target. * *

ShiftAMountain · 20/10/2024 09:23

@Pashazade - love the NSV! Let's face it, they are the real wins because they are what makes live easier or better.

@10storeylovesong - congratulations! A new stone bracket is always lovely to see.

@FelicityBeedle - well done also, it's odd how we can feel (short term) like we've messed up but long term are able to look back and see the bigger picture and our great results.

@Jabberwokie - the first few weeks (for some) are giddy but 7lbs lost in 3 weeks is, genuinely, an awesome result, I don't know where I read it but the original study into GLP-1s that defined fast and super responders showed to be a 'super responder' you only had to lose something like 2lbs a week. Which you've done.

I'd bought new pyjamas from Sainsbos about 3 weeks ago in a large, tried them on, too tight, tried them last night and they fit! (Saturday night is my clean sheets, clean Jammies night) No such luck for the Toast size Large pull-on trousers that won't go over my arse. They can sit in the wardrobe for a month and I'll try again.
Body pump this morning. Half a pret sandwich for breakfast and some aloe Vera juice..

I have nothing but swear words.

Absolutely shocking week for side effects, I felt like death for 4 days. Also (and no doubt related to this next bit) I started my period.

I have gained 100g.
124.4kg, from 124.3kg

(Yes, I know that’s not really gaining, that’s a tiny amount. But the scales went up, not down, after an appalling week on MJ)

If I am going to suffer, feel sick and dizzy for days, I at least deserve a benefit for all this nonsense.

End of week 3 another low loss week. Little to no food or booze noise. Averaging 900 calories a day so am surprised at the limited loss. Thinking I might take some measurements next week when I start 5mg as I can see a difference just notas much on the scales as I was expecting.

SW 84.2kg (13.25 st)
End of week 3 - 79.4kg (12.5st)
Loss 0.6kg (1.3pd)
Total Loss to Date 4.8kg (10.5pd)
GW 62kg (9.76st)

Same! Anything under 1000 I had a very limited loss. I've eaten more the past few days and weight is coming off a bit quicker. Obviously I was slowing down metabolism too much by limited calories.

Excited to start 5mg on Tuesday, if not tomorrow.

Pashazade · 20/10/2024 13:13

@AussieMum135 I think you might be eating too little, I've probably had some days where I come in under 1000 kcals (I'm not counting) but they aren't regular. I'm just eating a lot less and not snacking. Pretty sure I'm under 1500 most days, but I suspect my body would push back if I stayed below 900 all the time.
Although of course we're all reacting differently to the drug. My loss has been a steady 2-3lbs per week so far.

Sunbeamturtle · 20/10/2024 13:49

@WeeklyJab do you not think you might have been ill, rather than side effects?

I think a mixture - the dizzy and queasy is back today (I tried having the injection late last night hoping to sleep through the initial reaction.)

Then I had Covid and flu jabs alongside my period starting, it was all pretty dreadful all week with one thing and another.

I’m extremely dizzy again today after dose 4 of Mounjaro 2.5. Fingers cross it settles soon.

Jabberwokie · 20/10/2024 18:31

Thank you ShiftAMountain. I am quite happy with my 7lb loss. I realised I managed to get my weekly losses wrong at the end of my posting. I lost 2lbs last week and so lost 1.5lbs this week. I also managed to get my height wrong! Perhaps I should go back to having a couple of glasses of wine a night 😂.

WeeklyJab - I had my Covid jab last Tuesday and it made me feel pretty awful until Thursday morning. It always does, which is why I don't have then Covid and flu jabs at the same time. I hope you feel better soon.

flobbynomore · 20/10/2024 23:09

I messed up the bonus dose. Tried using a syringe but I wasn't prepared for the vacuum. I got 0.7ml out but it took me 3 tries, and I was scared I'd blunted or damaged/contaminated the needle by putting it in and out of the pen so many times. I chickened out of injecting it and went onto my next pen instead. It felt like a waste but hopefully next month I'll manage it better. Hopefully I'll have got the knack! Any tips welcome.

Snapespeare · 21/10/2024 07:09

Weigh in day (3rd attempt until I found it acceptable)
SW (22/09) 17.8
Today 16.5.5
GW 12.7
Happy with that.

lespameo · 21/10/2024 07:22

Took the 5th dose of 2.5mg last night (hard twist method). Assume I did it right?! Took me many attempts to do it - clearly don't have a good grip and any strength 😂😂😂

Sw 13.7
Cw 12.11

So a loss of 10lbs in 4 weeks which I am really happy with.

DJL19 · 21/10/2024 07:35

Hi sorry to jump on but where do you all get the pens for please?

Theredjellybean · 21/10/2024 07:53

I'm nearly at end of week 6...the second week of 3.75 mg.
Suppression is strong and I've had quite bad nausea at night if I have drunk any alcohol..
I occasionally wake in the night hungry or with bad reflux pain but weirdly it's disappeared in the morning.
I've now lost 8.7 kgs or 19 lbs and feel amazing.
I've also noticed my rosacea has completely disappeared...

Snapespeare · 21/10/2024 07:55

monj.co.uk/ gives you best price comparison - I've used MedExpress and pill sorted. Lots of first time £40 codes flapping around for MedExpress. (I have one ,but not the done thing to post them all over MN, there's a thread somewhere where people post them )

WeeklyJab · 21/10/2024 08:02

@Theredjellybean - wow, that’s great!

8.7kg is a fantastic result. I’m imagining 6 bags of flour on the counter, the last one slightly used. Thinking, “that’s how much weight my joints had to carry around with them but now don’t…”

That must feel really good. Interesting about the rosacea going as well, so your skin must be looking good.

Theredjellybean · 21/10/2024 08:09

@WeeklyJab ..I'm wondering if it's being nearly tee total that's settled the rosacea?.
I have been on antibiotics for last 9 yrs for it, and now haven't taken any for 4 weeks.
It's interesting as I've had periods of not drinking before but never seen such improvement in my skin like this..
It's another bonus I guess...
My liver function tests are normal as well...had been slightly high GGT due to alcohol...I wasn't alcoholic but did drink most nights..two g and t or half a bottle of wine...more at weekends.
The greatest joy though is my clothes fitting easily..I've just got winter clothes out and it's just amazing... everything fits ...no straining zips or tight waistbands.
I really only have 2 kgs left to lose...going to get to that point and then try to find a maintenance dose

I was thinking the other day that my skin is looking much better - clearer. I have a non existent skincare routine, so it must be a combination of a drastic reduction in sugar and caffeine consumption, and more protein and water?

I'm only a few days into dose 4 but it's been 4 weeks since I decided to try MJ and ordered, with my 'proper' weigh day for years being a Monday, and I'm officially down 11.6lb / 5.3kg. Very close to the 'overweight' bmi category now. Looking forward to my week 4 weigh in, although I'm due on soon so it'll probably make me gain!

Snapespeare · 21/10/2024 09:45

Oh, my fancy scales tell me I've also dropped a year, so my body is now only 4 years older than it should be (....) - & My Fitness Pal informs me I am just under the weight I was pre-pandemic.

JustWalkingTheDogs · 21/10/2024 10:01

Posted this in the old thread, thought it was quiet Grin

Is anyone feeling monster hungry when they go to bed, I toss and turn for hours feeling REALLY hungry but wake feeling fine. I've tried to alter the time I eat and what I do eat, had a big meal last night about 7ish, went to bed at 10 and the hunger pangs started again. It's really odd. Woke up this morning and don't feel hungry at all. I've tried protein before bed, carbs, even had a take away the other weekend. I've tried eating little and often during the day but it's always the same
