NSV today! Needed an outfit for a do on Saturday and found a top in new look sale at a size 18, and a primark skirt size 20! Especially pleased with the small primark sizing. Also picked up a second skirt size 22 from new look without trying it on, and it’s too big so it won’t sit right. I’m a happy bunny despite having a stall atm

Bellyblueboy · 21/02/2025 14:04

Took my second 7.5mg job last night. It doesn’t seem to be having much impact - my appetite is back. And I have put on three pounds in the last week!!!!

what the hell is going on!!!!!

Pashazade · 21/02/2025 15:36

How much weight have you lost @Bellyblueboy? My DH made the point that the more we loose, the harder it will become as it's a bigger percentage of our overall weight that we're trying to shift, so it may be why you're having a blip.

Snapespeare · 21/02/2025 17:23

New bra day - a tiny little local independent shop that is closing down. The lovely woman in the shop took one look at me in my current bra and hustled back with two perfect fits a back size and cup size down. My weight loss so far has been face and wattle-neck, waist, legs and belly. boobs are always the last to go, which I s'pose I'm grateful for in a way, but I dont embrace teetering around slim everywhere else, massive rack....although I guess the boobs you have are seldom the boobs you want ..

I have lost 2st 9 now. 6lbs to target weight.

once my bmi got close to 25 the weight loss really slowed down - it’s 24.9 today.

Pashazade · 22/02/2025 08:24

Well done! I'm still in the 30ks just! I'm almost at the 3 stone point and the past couple of weeks have been fairly static so this makes sense if you're right down now. When I lost weight with WW many moons ago the last 2-3 pounds took a good month or more to come off. That was to get me to a bmi of 25 too, my body just wasn't convinced and that was at the end of a four stone loss.

Cocoaone · 22/02/2025 09:37

I've lost 42lbs now (3st/19kg) and my BMI is 25.7. I'm finding over the past month I'll stay the same (-/+ 0.2lbs) for a week, then lose 2-3lb, then stay the same for a week etc.
I'm still eating the same calorie wise, but I've got an injury so I'm not moving as much as normal. As long as I'm losing 2-4lb a month I'll be happy! I'm 11st now, so hoping to lose 0.5-1st to get to target.

I had a shopping spree this week and I'm firmly in the size mediums, 14s for trousers and 12s on tops.

@Snapespeare - I have minimal boobs now ☹️ I really need to get a new bra as my boobs are flapping about in the wind in my current ones.

@Bellyblueboy - 3lbs won't be fat in a week, don't worry. Are you tracking your calories to make sure you aren't eating more than you think?

ShiftAMountain · 23/02/2025 18:32

End of week 22
1.2lbs lost, 53.5lbs total

Another slow loss week this week. Emotionally I find it frustrating but logically I know this is a much betetr rate of loss that the giddy heights of the earlier weeks.

Have been picking up a few bits from Vinted in the next size down as I have now worked my way through all the size clothes I have already. New clothes are all a bit tight so I think another 10lbs or so and they'll start to right.

Well done @ShiftAMountain, 53lbs is amazing!

I'm here to remind you girls to hydrate hydrate hydrate! I've had a few moments of dizziness whilst standing up since starting MJ, but today I actually fainted Shock

I'd eaten really well the day before, more than usual in fact. But for the previous 2 days I hadn't drunk anywhere near enough. I'm a bit bruised but luckily no major damage. I'm chugging electrolytes now! I took my blood pressure which was 100/60 so not hypotension, but on the lower side of normal.

So let me be a warning to make sure you get your fluids in.

Pashazade · 25/02/2025 08:49

Hmmm everything has slowed down....probably not a bad thing, I'm approaching the 3st total point. Still at least a stone to go. But annoying less than half a pound over the last fortnight......another month of 5mg to go as well as have my new pen to start tonight. Ahh well slow and steady wins the race and all that jazz. I'm not measuring that often but have seen a drop in cms the last month so hopefully that's my NSV instead of actual weight loss!
Bought something in a size 14 which was a very novel experience.

ShiftAMountain · 25/02/2025 14:20

I was hit last night with a sudden case of the tummy upsets (diar.). It's been pretty bad and I'm not sure what's caused it. I don't FEEL ill, so I wonder if it's MJ and not a bug? But I haven't had anything like it so far and it came out of nowhere which is much more like a bug than a side effect I would have thought.

It's been ongoing now for almost 24 hours and so I've eaten very little today except some toast. (I've had plenty of water with electrolytes.)

Anyway, it's too much info for you all but I thought I'd share in case anyone else experienced the same thing suddenly.

@Pashazade I swear when I don't lose weight, I lose inches and/or I drop body fat % instead. There definitely seems to be some kind of process whereby my bodyy goes "hold up with the weight loss a minute while I sort some of this other stuff out". I know it feels really frustrating when you're in the middle of it, but I am convinced it's a necessary part of the process. Anyway, a size 14! Well done you ! Smile

I agree with your body saying enough is enough until I sort myself out. I go in waves, I can lose 2/3 lbs in a week, then nothing for weeks, but my body changes and looks smaller even with no weight loss.

For the first time ever I was struck with the nausea and was actually sick which I've never done before. I think the side effects can crop up at any time, even half way through a monthly cycle. You think your body has got used to a dosage and then it kicks off

ShiftAMountain · 25/02/2025 15:17

Yeah, that might be it. I'm halfway through my 2nd 7.5mg pen so this is not a new dose for me at all. But suddenly - wham! - here I am with an upset tum.

Ah well, the reduced food intake will no doubt give me a lovely result on the scales by Sunday Grin I just hope it doesn't last until then!

Weigh day

SW (22/09/24) 18.8
New years weight 16.5
CW 15.5 - 2.2 off this week - a stone this year.
GW 12.7 but we'll see how it feels.

Total lost 3st 3lbs - 45lbs.

Headachy yesterday, went for a rest, ended up in an impromptu nap, had to apologise to someone I was met to video call and log off of work. Might be a bit dehydrated, will sort that out today.

boxoftoads · 26/02/2025 13:54

Doing a check in as I need the boost. Ive just ordered my second 7.5mg pen. I havent lost any new weight at all since moving to 7.5mg.

I started around 12 stone, I am now 10 stone 10 pounds and I have been bouncing around 2 pounds heavier and lighter for 5 weeks now. I am feeling hungry on the 7.5mg dose, but no side effects so I am still going carefully with my dose increase.

I have thrown up quite a few times though in the past few weeks. Any alcohol makes me ill the next morning and any attempt at a full dinner or eating out and I am sick the following day.

Tiny meals seem to be the way forward!

FelicityBeedle · 27/02/2025 21:40

So I’ve just went to order my usual repeat prescription (not Mounjaro)online, and in the list was my mounjaro as an NHS prescription…..
It let me add it to basket and I could have checked out for a £9.90 prescription charge, I didn’t though. Has that happened to anyone else?

The speed at which I just went to check my NHS app! (& I have a pre-payment prescription ...)

Sadly, no.

Pashazade · 02/03/2025 08:10

Hit the 3st mark this morning, very pleased. Still obese not quite overweight just yet, Grin but not far to go at all!
I'm waiting for a bounce as weight has just dropped off this week, weird isn't it, I've never tracked weight daily, slightly obsessed with it now, but it really makes you realise what a closed system the body is and what we do doesn't necessarily equal a result we expect!

Jabberwokie · 02/03/2025 16:41

Most of you have lost a great deal more weight than I have as my loss is slow but steady. Week 22 and I have lost 30lbs. But I'm feeling great about it today as I'm now 12st 13lbs (I haven't been in the 12s for well over a decade) and my BMI is 30.1. I need to lose another couple of pounds to be in the overweight category.

The really odd thing is how my clothes size didn't appear to be changing much at all for a long time and then, all of a sudden, everything changed. Most of my 18s are too big or looking decidedly baggy, and the 16s aren't exactly tight either. I'm starting to fit into some size 14 stuff, which is a minor miracle.

When I catch sight of myself in a mirror, I have to do a double take. My legs, in particular have shrunk in width, so I feel I look taller 😂. I'm not ashamed of myself any more, even though I'm probably only half way through my weight loss journey (and am still around 4 stone heavier than I was in my youth).

I've been bra buying too. Down a band and a cup size. My new bras have nice thin straps and don't look at all like my former "old lady" bras. It all makes a difference to how you feel, doesn't it?

ShiftAMountain · 02/03/2025 18:40

Week 23,1.5lbs lost, 55lbs total.

1lb to go until I've lost 4 stone!

@Jabberwokie I've become a bit obessed with comparing other peoples before and after photos vs how much weight they have lost. It's amazing how some people have lost a huge amunt of weight but it doesn't reflect clearly in the photos, and then I'll see the photos of someone who has lost less and they look really different in theirs. Weight and how it looks and works on different people, is SO varied!

OP posts:
Jabberwokie · 02/03/2025 19:58

ShiftAMountain - I agree that everyone is different. I’m often amazed when people say they are the same height as I am and around the same weight but fit into smaller sizes.

You have done really well with your losses. You must feel like a completely different person.

ShiftAMountain · 02/03/2025 20:13

I mostly just feel more like ME again. My body is starting to reflect how I feel inside. I've always been someone who loves activity, loves being outdoors and walking or gardening or whatnot.

My weight was robbing me of all that, slowly but surely. Now that I have shifted some of that weight, it's all coming back to me again. I still have a LONG way to go before I have a healthy BMI (almost as much to lose again) but I really am starting to enjoy how far I've come.

RandomID · 02/03/2025 22:25

A rare check in: I hit 30kg lost this week. I also went up to the final dosage pen. I was very sick for a few days but it has eased off now.

Apparently the loss is mostly noticeable around my face and hips, though I don’t see too much change. Have taken six large sacks of clothes to the charity clothes bank at the local recycling place. Not ready to shop
for new things yet, as I have at least another 30kg to go. Thank heavens for tights and forgiving dresses.

Positive thoughts for all, and I’ll be back in a few weeks. :)

Mydoghealsmyheart · 02/03/2025 22:44

Is anyone starting to notice how “heavy” loose skin feels? Although I’ve still got fat to lose all over, my stomach is definitely looser, saggier and yet feels so heavy. I’m dreading when (or if) I lose most of my weight and then how bad areas like my abdomen will look.
