Well done @Bellyblueboy ! I'm pretty sure I will never be a BMI normal weight again, but that's largely because last time I lost weight (pre child birth and menopause) getting to a BMI of 25 was insanely difficult! Life is too short so I shall be happy at around 27. 😁

TheCatterall · 08/02/2025 13:35

@Bellyblueboy well done :) 🥳

this last 4 weeks has been a plateau for me.

2nd month on 7.5mg and whilst I lost nearly a stone on the first month on it - this month has been up and down and I’ve lost about 2lbs.

I’m not despondent about it was there are other factors. I have an immune disorder, I’ve been quite run down and not been out and about as much. No appetite suppression this month and have been falling back into bad habits with chocolate and biscuits.

I’m feeling perkier now and I’m going to try 10mg from next week. Starting to do some more exercise routines at home and walking more again.

I’m only about 13lbs away from my first goal of 15st 4lbs. Once there that will be a 4st loss and I’ll reassess.

That will make me a top end of a size 16 in past experience (Im just under 6’). I’d like to get into a 14 at least.

onwards and upwards my fellow sausages.

Bellyblueboy · 08/02/2025 13:41

Thanks all. I am very short and I do think BMIs are a little different at my height.

my lowest adult weight was 8st 9. But that was impossible for me to maintain and looking back my diet at that time was really unhealthy.

I find it odd that so may people are telling me to stop losing weight! People I don’t know very well. I would never dream on commenting on someone else’s body. Or the fake concern head tilt - are you trying to lose weight comment. Maybe I have different boundaries than most! I will complete clothes or a haircut - but never weight.

Bellyblueboy · 08/02/2025 13:42

@TheCatterall that is an amazing loss - what an accomplishment.

FelicityBeedle · 08/02/2025 15:38

@Bellyblueboy that’s fab, you might just have to be Blue Boy from now!
I had someone at work ask me if I was done losing weight now, my BMI is still 35! Seemed an odd question to me

JustWalkingTheDogs · 08/02/2025 17:02

I've gone back down to 7.5 today after an awful week on 10mg. Never had any real side effects, but my first week on 10mg knocked me for 6. I didn't even lose any weight which added insult to injury Blush

Snapespeare · 08/02/2025 19:29

Took my first 10 yesterday, burpy and unable to finish a small meal today. - much the same as last week's golden dose of 7.5

Went bra shopping - I've gone down a band size and a cup size, but m&s wasn't particularly inspiring and I'll wobble around in my big bra a little longer.

Cocoaone · 09/02/2025 07:22

Week 20 weigh in and I've had another of those weeks where I've gone up and down by 0.2lb each day, settling on a 0.2lb gain for the official weekly weigh

My calories have been good this week but I have felt the urge to snack more (I had chocolate 2 days, and some biscuits) so I've increased to 3.25mg this week.

@Bellyblueboy congratulations! That's an amazing achievement, I bet you're so pleased

@JustWalkingTheDogs I hope 7.5mg treats you better this week.

@FelicityBeedle how is your DP getting on?

Has anyone had to order a new pen and noticed any differences in their providers re:new guidelines yet? I've only just started a fresh pen, so won't be ordering for another few weeks yet

Bellyblueboy · 09/02/2025 09:27

I ordered one last week - no change.

I did get an email from MedExpress saying nothing will change for now. They also said customers won’t be cut off for having a bmi below 25.

i am thinking of changing to oushk because their maintenance plan looks cheaper

ShiftAMountain · 09/02/2025 09:32

Week 20 weigh in here too...

2.3lbs lost, 51.2lbs total.

Those of you finding that 10mg hits hard have convinced me to stick with the 7.5mg for the foreseeable. Hope the side effects settle down for you all x

@Cocoaone I have just placed a new order for the 7.5mg from Oushk. They are saying they will process all orders as normal right now but have been talking about possible options for the future, such as:

  • everyone getting at least one video call every x months, possibly to include them seeing you step on scales
  • partnering with local gyms to be able to offer independent/verified height/weight weigh ins [gulp]
  • being able to accept screenshots of medical records showing recent weight/height

It's all a bit "watch this space".

OP posts:
Cocoaone · 09/02/2025 09:35

I'm already with Oushk. I hope it's not the last two options @ShiftAMountain - what a pain in the bum they'll be! Maybe I should order sooner rather than later!

ShiftAMountain · 09/02/2025 09:41

I agree @Cocoaone

My closest "local" gym is about 15 miles away so I don't fancy that. My medical records are pretty sparce as I have been very lucky with my health (horrendous obesity aside) and haven't needed to see a GP for about 20 years or more. I can see them being thrilled with me taking an apt just to weigh in Grin

But they do seem to be pretty keen to offer a variety of ways they can meet the requirements so that people can find one that suits them better, so fingers crossed there is a way through this.

I was also thinking it might be a good idea to order promptly for my next few pens, in the hope to build up a bit of a buffer. What with that and Trump saying he intends to 'lean' on Lilly to increase their global prices so they can reduce their US ones, it feels like a precarious time indeed!

OP posts:
FelicityBeedle · 09/02/2025 10:55

@Cocoaone
He says he hasn’t felt anything since injecting on Thursday, but he is a tall bloke so might need to wait for a higher dose? We’ll see

Snapespeare · 12/02/2025 07:42

Weigh day
SW 22/09 17.8.?
CW 14.8.6
GW 12.8 ish
Overweight not obese!
Total loss 3 glorious stone - 42lbs .

Theredjellybean · 12/02/2025 08:13

I haven't posted for ages, but well done everyone...some amazing losses .
I have happily maintained at between 64.5-63 kgs.

I feel 63 kgs is definitely lowest I want to be, once the scales dropped to 62.5 and I could see my ribs ...

I re ordered with med express each time with no problems.
They pushed me as to why I wasn't titrating up...I just said I'm very happy with results and am staying on 5 mg.
I actually use 3.75 mg every 9-10 days.
I am hungry at meal times but still can't eat big meals and don't drink much.

I intend to just continue like this and also stock pile pens a bit in case things change.

Is anyone else having issues believing this is for real ? I feel it's just some kind of temporary "magic". I really need new clothes but findiing it difficult buy anything as I keep having this voice in my head saying " no point this is temporary"

Kind of.

I am only halfway to goal but every now and again I get a sudden mental vertigo feeling. Like, suddenly I am balancing on a high wire and could fall at any moment. But that feeling is about my weight - like, suddenly it feels real and I want to stay forever slimmer but am scared about the prospect of doing so and think I could very easily 'fall' off.

ShiftAMountain · 12/02/2025 13:27

@Snapespeare - well done! Such a great milestone Smile

OP posts:
Theredjellybean · 12/02/2025 14:26

@ShiftAMountain ...half way there...maybe you should be Shiftasmallhill ?

WeeklyJab · 12/02/2025 14:32

Fantastic, @Snapespeare !

I've lost 2.5 stone (16kg) and gone down from a size 24 to a size 20 - I found out because I had to buy new trousers because mine wouldn't stay up. Those are my positives.

However, I'm not feeling all that much suppression so it's definitely a bit more of a slog to stick to it. Not even halfway to my goal. I have stuck to 5mg for this month but if it remains this hard I might go up to 7.5mg in March.

BMI was 47, is now 42. It's going to be a long road to "overweight" from "morbidly obese" but I am getting there slowly.

Bellyblueboy · 16/02/2025 17:26

I moved up to 7.5mg on Thursday because I was starting to feel very hungry and weightless slowed. I ordered a little early and I had a whoosh of weight loss on my last week on 5mg (I am now 9st 7🍾)

But I am still feeling very very hungry even on 7.5mg.

i never had full suppression and didn’t want that. I was always hungry for meals and could usually finish a reasonable portion.

but now I am snacking between meals and struggling not to binge. My saving grace is I don’t keep snacks in the house so I am eating vegetables etc when hungry.

hopefully this will pass.

ShiftAMountain · 16/02/2025 17:39

End of week 21.

1.1lbs lost, 52.3lbs total.

OP posts:
Snapespeare · 19/02/2025 09:55

Weigh day, 1.4 off this week - total, let's call it 3 stone 1lb. Have felt quite tired this week and a bit bloated.

Currently going through a assessment process with medicine marketplace that requires a video (the horror!) of me standing on scales and pretty much all personal info short of my shoe size.

I have reset my height as I'm age-shrinking and have lost an inch and a half, which puts me back into an obese BMI...to partially counter this bad info, I am the same weight I was in July 2017 (my fitness pal data goes back over 10 years, that's how long weight has been an issue for me) which is immensely satisfying.

Mydoghealsmyheart · 19/02/2025 10:14

I’m finding the 7.5mg is having no real suppression at all. I think I have two more doses left in it and then I’m probably going to go up to 10mg and see if it helps. I really don’t want to as the constipation has been horrific from the start of my treatment on Mounjaro but I’ve lost 2.5 stone and desperately want to see more weight loss as I’m still above 19stone. Well done to everyone who are having a successful journey on MJ.

Snapespeare · 19/02/2025 14:43

Medicine market place update - sent shonky me on the scales video just after 7 this morning and just received a lovely, personalised acceptance video from their professional, engaging pharmacist.

I feel seen, which is regretful as the video adds an additional layer of horror to the process.

Can't unsee my neck wattle though. Off to research different types of injectables..

Pashazade · 20/02/2025 08:19

Ohh Asda were all as usual when I renewed last week. Hideous nausea yesterday (I jab Tuesday evenings) for some random reason, not usually that bad hey ho. Still steadily heading towards the 3 stone point. Need new pyjamas though, usual nightshirts were in the wash and realised my pyjama bottoms are all too big!
