I'm thinking about buying a bundle to avoid problems with Christmas post and potential surge in demand in the New Year. Just waiting a bit longer to see what dose would be good, that's the problem as you say, committing to a dose for three months. I am about to go up to 10mg after two months on 7.5mg, so will see how I get on with it.

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 29/10/2024 14:51

I’m not sure why you were deleted @Orangesandlemons77 as it wasn’t a promo code post in the usual way. I am not sure if MNHQ have human mods on this or if there are flags on specific words.

Thanks for flagging the deal, anyway. It does strike me as a slightly strange marketing choice for MJ - how many people are staying on one dose for three pens, unless it’s 15mg? Bolt do some sequential two-packs which work out at about 5% cheaper, which I have bought before now. I’ve just had the bonus dose out of a 12.5mg pen and will probably stay here for a bit, but I don’t think I’d commit to three pens.

I wonder whether you can have different doses within the bundle, would make sense.

TorturedParentsDepartment · 29/10/2024 15:25

I've had an "unprecedented demand sorry for the delay" email from mediexpress today. I can wait it out a little longer and just stay fat a little longer.

Orangesandlemons77 · 29/10/2024 17:00

They do single pens as well not just the bundles. I can't post more info but it is simple online pharmacy and I used something called honey which fills in codes online - I used it in the past for other things like supermarket shopping and it does it automatically at checkout.

SqueakyDinosaur · 29/10/2024 17:01

But do the bundles have to be all one dose?

Orangesandlemons77 · 29/10/2024 17:05

https://www.simpleonlinepharmacy.co.uk/online-doctor/weight-loss/mounjaro/

Yes I think so- you can buy up to 3 of the same dose, or single pens

Orangesandlemons77 · 29/10/2024 17:06

I guess you could email them and request different ones though, they seem really helpful. I ordered and got the pack the next morning with DPD.

Sorry to hear that.
I'm waiting for approval from Oushk, they wouldn't let me add a code to the order after I finally managed to complete without a code but have now taken so long I could have cancelled the order & started again! I'm hoping for delivery Friday as it's the one day I can be sure to sign for it & be able start immediately in case I feel lousy.

I like your "wait it out a little longer and just stay fat a little longer." I'm getting all stressed about the possibility of having to start on a different date to the one I expect 🙄😂

Hi. I posted this on the August thread but thought I'd post here too..

Hi. Question for anyone in the know: Does any eat the Kefir yoghurt. I read about it on here.. am used to getting lidl high protein natural yoghurt, but mixed it up and got Kefir natural instead.

Is it really good for you? Is it good for the gut? Any more benefits to it

gimmemounjaro · 29/10/2024 18:02

@morbidcuriosity
Meant to be very good for your gut microbiome as are all fermented foods.

Here you go, don't just take my word for it..

Kefir is great for you. I love the passion fruit and mango one.

RobinEllacotStrike · 29/10/2024 18:33

Kefir is excellent - like super charged natural yoghurt.

I have bought a Kefir/Greek yoghurt style/high protein product but I can't find it again. I shop everywhere - I think it was at Tesco.

It was fantastic

RobinEllacotStrike · 29/10/2024 18:35

I cured long term dreadful IBS with kefir - it was homemade stuff so super strong. Miraculous the effect it had on my life - I can pretty much eat normally now.

I do still eat kefir regularly but I buy it from the supermarket now.

morbidcuriosity · 29/10/2024 18:37

This is all promising.. I shall carry on getting it then.
Thanks.

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 29/10/2024 18:44

I love kefir and it is very very good for you but as with all fermented foods it is a good idea to introduce it to your diet in fairly small quantities, as everyone has a different digestive reaction!

Can we talk about protein? How are you hitting your protein macros on limited calories. I can't seem to get over about 40g most days. Anyone able to post a couple of days food choices please? I aim for 1200 cals daily.

Breakfast: oats or muesli with chia seeds and dollop high protein yoghurt.
Lunch: Very lean air dried ham with salad
Snack: Dollop hummus with carrots
Dinner: chicken breast with veg

Breakfast: Baked beans and a poached egg
Lunch: Tuna salad wrap made with low carb wrap (made with pea protein)
Snack: High protein yoghurt
Dinner: Salmon and veg

Meant to add that all of my days come in under 1300 cals.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 29/10/2024 20:55

I also make a big pan of lentil soup that lasts me for a couple of days. Lentils are a pretty good source of protein. To top up, I have a couple of sliced of ham afterwards

SqueakyDinosaur · 29/10/2024 21:03

I have Barebells protein bars in the fridge (much nicer cold) for if I don't think I've had enough protein. 20g each, but I am starting to find them cloyingly sweet so may give up on them.

I also keep Longley Farm cottage cheese in there at all times - I buy it 8 or 10 at a time if the sell-by date is long enough.

Proper Greek yogurt for breakfast - Total has around 10g protein per 100g; "Greek-style" yogurt mostly has about 4-6g.

Deli Kitchen carb-light wraps have 7g (ok, 6.9g) each, and can be frozen (separate the individual wraps first - I use waxed paper squares).

Ah yes, I'm not great at remembering veggie protein. I had three boiled eggs today and a high protein flapjack and it was only 45g protein. I'm not veggie but I don't eat much meat. I'll remember dairy thank you

Thank you, I think I need to add some of these high protein puddings and bars. I'll mosey over to tesco

Kefir this week??? - you lot had me buying cottage cheese last week 😂 Couldn't eat for the rest of the day after it! 🤮

@RainbowZebraWarrior I have been living off, and loving homemade lentil soup the last week - the kind that is so thick it sticks to your ribs! I prefer nice hearty, but healthy, winter food like that. I am missing boiling up and having a ham hock in it, but not sure how much all the fat from the ham hock would up the calories.......

Haha. Ham hock takes me back. Remimds me of the broth my Mam used ro make on New Years Eve. I think this is why I have a couple of slices of ham afterwards. Actually chopping it up really thin and stirring ut through the soup would be lovely. I get the Sainsbury's taste the difference air dried ham. Its expensive, but the big pack works out fairly good value.
