@daffodilandtulip i wear fleece lined leggings and thermal tops under all my clothes, well to work anyway!

daffodilandtulip · 01/02/2025 09:21

Week 33 - my body seems to have settled on 1lb losses but that's ok because I don't want to reduce my calories any more to stay healthy. I've been fixated on my shrinking boobs this week 😂 All my adult life I've been 36F, I'm now wearing 32D and still feeling saggy. This is not a complaint!!

SW 13st 7lb BMI 36.9
CW 9st 11lb BMI 26.8

Total loss 3st 10lb (52lbs). I still stare at those figures in disbelief - 27.5% of me has vanished.

AutumnStorms11 · 01/02/2025 19:13

Wow @IReallyNeedThisToWork thats such lovely “wins” from your MJ journey sounds like it was a great holiday.

I’ve just booked an impromptu holiday for a few weeks time. I can’t wait as last time we went skiing I felt fat, sluggish and spent a lot of time on my own feeling sorry for myself as I couldn’t keep up with my teens & DH despite previously being the most experienced. This time I’m feeling so fit and energised I can’t wait. We don’t have summer holidays away much as we prefer the winter & mountains (we live in a holiday area). I’m going to have to pin the waist band of my ski trousers though or get some smaller ones on vinted.

AutumnStorms11 · 01/02/2025 19:15

I hear you @daffodilandtulip im loving my shrunken boobs 🤣I’ve struggled all my life with big boobs and they got much worse with menopause but now half their size still a F but geez it’s fab!

Newme24 · 03/02/2025 07:08

Happy Monday all. Wow. So many lovely positives to read on here this morning! I'm loving the happiness people are showing through their posts about all the surprising non scale Victories 🥳 as much as I love seeing people's current weights. Well done everyone. I do agree though. I am always absolutely frozen. 🥶 the only thing getting me through is that I'm hopeful that when the summer comes, it's my time to shine and maybe I won't be a hot sweaty mess all the time 😅🙏

Last week I ordered 3 pairs of the jeans I like in some different colours. All size 12. Except I got them and they're all too big. 🥳 so I will now need to resell those and I popped to Tesco and got a pair of 10's off the rail and took them home and they fit!! Ok we have a lot of muffin going on but covered with a baggy top and hopefully that will get better this month 😅

Another 1lb off this week. I'm ok with that xx

achangeofnameisasgoodasarest · 03/02/2025 08:05

Some amazing losses here. I've not been in for ages - too scared to weigh after Christmas. But finally back on those scales and although it is slooowww I am still going down.

Bloody hell @Newme24!!! 10s!?!?! 😱😱😱🎉🎉

AutumnStorms11 · 03/02/2025 14:38

Wow 10s @Newme24 that’s amazing.

Well done @achangeofnameisasgoodasarest i was slow and steady and I’m wearing a comfy size 12 jeans now and stopped MJ as I’m in maintenance phase as I tipped into bmi25. But I’ve still lost 1-2lbs in last 4wks if my scales are correct.

daffodilandtulip · 04/02/2025 06:46

My BMI is 26 now @AutumnStorms11 so I'm starting to think about this new phase. I ordered a 10mg pen yesterday after much deliberation but I think it may be my last. I think I might even use it to reduce the dose slowly.

Dithercats · 04/02/2025 09:04

How are people tapering down to maintenance.
My BMI is at 22 so I don't want to loose anymore.
My jab was due Sunday 12.5...nut not done it yet as wondering whether to go longer between or half the dose each week 🤔

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 06/02/2025 08:54

So amazing to see so many of us getting to a healthy bmi!! @daffodilandtulip is that your first 10mg? I have another 7.5 in the fridge to start next week and am wondering what to do next.
@Dithercats wow!! 22 bmi must feel incredible! Have you had any advice from your provider about tapering? I’ve seen posts about going down a dose per month/every couple of months/spacing things out etc so seems a very personal choice. Still a little way to go for me but already thinking about it…

Week 33 weigh in this morning and I seem to have had a post holiday whoosh and lost 4lbs!!

Which has made today a bit of a red letter day as I have hit my 6 stone loss on MJ as well as seeing a number starting with 10 on the scales for the first time I can ever remember!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Fast800 SW: 17st 7lbs BMI 44.8

Actually cannot believe it!! 16lbs to go to a healthy bmi…

Megarea · 06/02/2025 20:41

SW 252.6 lb
CW 193.6 lb
Total loss: 59 lbs

Next mini goal is 25% of starting weight lost which will be when I get to 63 lbs lost

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 07/02/2025 17:49

@IReallyNeedThisToWork well done!! 6 stone is absolutely phenomenal!!

Merryoldgoat · 07/02/2025 20:00

It’s a weird drug isn’t it? I seem to be getting smaller even if the scales don’t move much.

I’ve just bought size 22 trousers and I was 24/26 when I started. I think I need a 20. I literally cannot conceive this.

The idea I would actually lose the weight I’ve been fighting with for all these years is quite scary somehow.

daffodilandtulip · 08/02/2025 09:31

Week 34 weigh in - it's gone quick but I can't believe I've been doing it for so long!

SW 13st 7lb BMI 36.9
CW 9st 9lb BMI 26.4

Total loss 3st 12lb (54lb) 28.5% of my body weight. So close to 4 stone but I feel like I'll never reach the magic BMI of 25.

This week I have brought new knickers IN A SIZE 8 and had to send a picture to my best friend as I couldn't believe the size difference 😂 I've also noticed the skin on the back of my arms and my bum is suddenly smooth. It used to feel rough and pimply all the time.

daffodilandtulip · 08/02/2025 09:35

@IReallyNeedThisToWork I started the 10mg in November and it seems to be the magic dose that people talk about - eat a healthy amount, odd bit of hunger but no side effects. So I never moved up, and probably won't.

coffeeandteav · 08/02/2025 09:48

This weeks loss.

Week 27 11.12
Week 28 11.8
Christmas 3 weeks off
Week 29 12.4
Week 30 12.0
Week 31 11.11
Week 32 11.9
Week 33 11.5
Week 34 11.3

BMi is 25.3 I still want to do another stone.

I have 2 pens left I don't think I will buy anymore.
Still scared to not put on though after Christmas.

daffodilandtulip · 08/02/2025 10:04

@coffeeandteav I didn't stop over Christmas and put on 3lb with a combination of meals out and sitting on my arse for two weeks. It came off again the week after when I went back to normal (well Mounjaro normal) eating. It is scary how quickly you can put back on again, but I guess Christmas isn't like normal times, whether you're on Mounjaro or not, I think most people put on.

Thanks yes this does make sense.

JomonotFomo · 08/02/2025 12:12

Ah it’s going slowly for me here. I’ve lost 3lb in a month which is obviously good after all this time but I am hovering around 11st 1 and I really want to see a 10!

SW 15st 12 (BMI 37)
CW 11st1 (BMI 25.8)

I lost half a pound this week.

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 08/02/2025 19:29

@JomonotFomo your very close!

I am 11st 7, so exactly 6 stone for me.

I have one pair of jeans that fit in a SIZE 14! My brain and new body haven't reconciled yet and I am still scared to buy clothes in smaller sizes, I think because I don't want to be disappointed. I but the bullet and hit primark today. All size 'M' or 14 and it all fits like a dream. Bonkers.

Well done team, we are still going!

thesugarbumfairy · 11/02/2025 10:41

Just checking in as I don't pop on very often. Still losing (very slowly) BMI now 29.3. Which if I wasn't mixed race would put me in the overweight category. As it is I'm still technically obese, but its just words - I know I'm not obese :)

The best thing mentally for me was buying a pack of tights in a 'medium' from Waitrose last week because I was going out and have realised all my snag tights are just far too big. I'm so used to pickup up L, XL, XXL and so on. Anything that doesn't contain 'large' in the title is quite alien to me. Its more significant to me than being able to fit into 14s.

I'm the same - can now fit into a 14 or Medium - though jeans are still tight. It's life changing.

daffodilandtulip · 12/02/2025 06:47

A family member just got diagnosed very early with dementia. I decided to research the risk factors to see what I can put in place for myself. Turns out, I had multiple risk factors last year, I have none now. If that isn't enough to keep me off the pop and chocolate...

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 12/02/2025 07:06

@daffodilandtulip so sorry to hear about your relative, such a cruel disease. Totally agree with you that the reduction in risks for various things makes this so worth it.

This was my main motivation for losing weight. Lost mum to smoke related lung cancer last year, dad to something preventable a few years back and I have other family members whose weight causes them all sorts of grief. It was a wake up call to not become a statistic to something I could control.
