That’s a fantastic loss, I’m also 5’3, can I ask what your target weight is (if you don’t mind sharing)? As I’m currently aiming for the top end of the healthy bmi for our height, but thinking I might need to go a little lower.

thank you! I feel great.
Start weight: 13 stone 6 (188lbs)
CW: 10 stone 12 (152lbs)
Aiming for around 10 stone, so actually about 12lbs to go, which will take me just into the 'healthy' weight range.

But I would like to be 9 st 7, as 10 stone is right at the top of my ideal BMI.
I was overjoyed to see the 10 stone-something the other day! like you, I did a little happy dance!!
I've been 7 stone in the past (early 20's, too busy to eat, holding down 3 very active jobs), but that was way too thin. I think 9.st 7 is a good weight for me.

Merryoldgoat · 30/09/2024 22:55

Can I join please? I started 1st June and am just shy of 3 stone down. Started VERY overweight so barely look different yet but I feel so much better. I can actually see my losing a large amount of weight which feels unreal.

AboutVattime · 30/09/2024 23:12

I started in May at 95 kg . Now 77 kg so 39.6 lbs down .

No side effects except I no longer need metformin, high bp medication or cortisone in the knees .. perhaps the occasional constipation that is relieved with appropriate diet ..

I am actually saving the NHS money

Sorry to jump in mid thread and fantastic achievements guys!

I'm desperate to lose weight but scared of choosing the wrong supplement. What injections are people using and do they really work?

Pashazade · 01/10/2024 08:04

@fairydust11 when I lost weight (4 stone) with weight watchers 20 odd years ago I came down to 10st12 (I'm 5'4") which was the absolute top of my healthy BMI. It was an absolute battle for the last few pounds and honestly sitting a few pounds above that was where my body settled. My dad told me to stop losing weight as I was getting too thin. For my build it was the right place so go to where you look good for you rather than what the BMI says.
@loulougall everyone on here is using Mounjaro I believe.
Yes it works, it switches off the excess desires for food and even the basic ones. I haven't felt the need to snack and it has definitely made it easier to decide not to have x, y or z.

@LionAndEmperor13 That’s great, thanks for sharing.
I know it really is such an achievement going down into the next stone category, it definitely deserves a little happy dance!

@Merryoldgoat & @AboutVattime well done, such fab losses.

TheShellBeach · 01/10/2024 09:00

Hello @Merryoldgoat and welcome to the thread.
You've done very well so far. I also started at a big weight (over 20st) way back in January, but I didn't start MJ until June.

I have lost a total of 5st 3lb since January, but the biggest loss has been the 3st I've lost since June, on MJ.

I know what you mean about not looking all that different - not to start with, anyway. But keep plugging away. It'll soon start to be noticeable.

fairydust11 · 01/10/2024 09:01

@Pashazade thanks, in my 20s-30s I fluctuated between 8.7 - 9 stone with anything over around 9.12 upwards being when I started to look overweight.

After having children in my 30s I gained weight which I struggled to loose but finally managed to get down to 10 stone which I was happy with but then diagnosed with 2 major health issues in my late 30s, early 40s I gained again due to the medication i’m on.
Although I’m still on the same medication now mid 40s I’m actually finally seeing the breakthrough of weight loss again, something I never thought I’d see.

Ideally I would like to get back down to around 9 stone, as I think that’s the weight I maintained up until my 30s, it looked right for my build type & it wasn’t something I worked on, although i’m now mid 40s with perimenopause & hormones on top of everything else I’d be happy with 10 now, once I get there, I’ll see if I can get back to 9, but not put pressure on myself if I can’t as at least I’d be within the “healthy” bmi range, which for me with the medication I’m on would be an achievement.

TheShellBeach · 01/10/2024 09:04

So essentially, I lost 2st (without Mounjaro) with great difficulty, in 6 months...................

......................and just over 3st (with Mounjaro) with very great ease, in the next 10 weeks.

@loulougall we're all on MJ (Mounjaro) on this thread. Yes, it really works. It stops people who are on it from feeling hungry, and thus helps them to stick to a healthy eating plan - whatever that may be for each individual.

I'm just measuring calories.

Callmejudith · 01/10/2024 11:01

@loulougall just to echo the others, it 100% works. Turns off the food noise and helps you actually stick to eating well. There is no opportunity to think "stuff it" and give up after a bad day or a stressful event, you just don't want to binge. Even if I have a holiday/weekend away/wedding I am just not consuming anywhere near the amount of calories I would have before.

It's also changed my relationship with alcohol, for the first 10 weeks or so I barely drunk and when I did I felt absolutely dreadful. That has worn off now but I'm not drinking anything like what I did before MJ. I also realised the other day that I haven't had a glass of wine at home since June - that is literally a miracle for me.

Re - Voy and Refer a Friend

Has anyone else noticed that all the referrals they had have suddenly been wiped off?

I had quite a few, and was expecting a couple of free pens as a result.

But yesterday, the total has gone down to zero.

I don't understand. Their online chat is also down, and I've emailed them, but they haven't replied yet.

Has this happened to anyone else?

TheShellBeach · 01/10/2024 13:00

I know they recently changed it so that instead of free pens, they'd be 30% or 60% cheaper.
But that was meant to apply to referrals made prior to the end of September.

Newme24 · 01/10/2024 13:15

I seemed to have put on 2lbs this week. For the last 3 weeks on 7.5 I've lost nothing. Really hoping for a woosh at the end of this week and if not I guess I'll move up for 10mg. Really disappointed tbh still have 2.5stone to go so was hoping to get another stone down before it started feeling really difficult to lose. I am currently on my period so hoping that's the 2lbs but would be good to finally get under 12.9 which is where I was 3 weeks ago!! 12.7 would be amazing as I'll feel closer to 12 lol. Well done everyone on all your fantastic loses. Can't believe people are in the 10's on this thread. I really hope that's me one day 🙏🤞

I think if the referrals were made before the date they changed the scheme then they should honor them. It resets though after every 30 days so even if you had say 9 referrals in that 30 days you'd only ever get one free pen, you'd have to get another 3 in the next 30 days IYSWIM

That's not what's happened in the past.
Regardless of when the referrals are made, they've given me free pens even two months later.

TheShellBeach · 01/10/2024 13:59

It says "Your discount resets with every new order"

And that's happened up till now. Every time I'm due a new pen, they knock three referrals off my total.

Oh in that case even more reason for them to honor your referrals!

Had an hour between meetings so have been trying on more clothes. It's the absolute best motivation for me. I've squeezed into a skirt I've not worn for years and selected my next "aim for" trousers.

Off to spin tonight.

Hi all. I started beginning of June. 2 1/2" stones down but its just crawling off now which is really frustrating. Not really having an issue sticking to my calories. Just my body is being stubborn. I'm still a size 18 and i feel like it should be coming off quicker still. But hey ho. On 7.5 at the mo.

I am trying to have a big clothes clearout - some of it is too big - but its mostly stuff I kept in case i fit into it again - which I do - but I no longer like it!

that's brilliant. I'm also loving fitting into old 'skinny' clothes!

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 01/10/2024 18:20

@TheShellBeach mine have always reset after each order too. It's frustrating as if this didn't happen I could have had some free pens.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 02/10/2024 07:02

@Sewfrickinamazeballs @TheShellBeach I have read lots of people moaning about the changes and losing out on precious referrals. They seem to have realised that their 'free pens' model was just not sustainable🤷‍♀️ Meanwhile, they've finally offered me 44% off to come back but it's too little too late imo.

Bitezbabe · 02/10/2024 08:02

Isn’t it great when you find clothes in the wardrobe you haven’t been able to wear for years and they fit!! Tried on some white cropped trousers yesterday. They fitted and more to the point they looked nice. 👏👏👏

Snozzlemaid · 02/10/2024 08:29

I'm doing that too. I'm finding all sorts I've not worn for years or maybe even never at all.
Dp thinks I've been endlessly shopping when most of it is from my own wardrobe.
