Congrats @thesugarbumfairy @AutumnStorms11 @Megarea

Week 19 weigh in today. 2lbs off!!

Fast 800 SW: 17 st 7lbs
MJ SW: 16st 12lb

CW: 13st 2lbs

Bit of a rocky week this one. Don't know why but feeling very down about it all. Struggled with hunger and food noise for a couple of days so may have to move up despite still losing on 5. Just feeling really 'meh' 🤷‍♀️

daffodilandtulip · 01/11/2024 08:24

Im nearing target so I've let myself go up to 1000 calories on a couple of days and I've put 2lbs on. This is why I am so fat, and why I'm so worried about stopping.

Merryoldgoat · 01/11/2024 08:27

Absolute car crash of a week for me! I’m not weighing. Instead I’m going to jab, renew my focus and crack on.

Callmejudith · 01/11/2024 09:26

Weird that a few of us are all feeling meh. Did we all get a dodgy batch or something?

@daffodilandtulip there’s no way it can be 2lbs of fat - no way!

AutumnStorms11 · 01/11/2024 14:22

@daffodilandtulip ive had a few blips like that and it’s probably retaining more water if you have eaten extra carbs. I just moved a bit more mainly went for a run and it resettled agsin. My BMR. Has dropped to 1400 now which is why I also will really struggle to maintain much lower than that tbh. I do exercise every day which gives more an average 400c extra but I’m using those to keep me losing 0.5-1lb a week still. Interestingly I’ve had several people in last two weeks say gosh you have lost a lot of weight it’s like suddenly it’s visible which is bizarre..

AutumnStorms11 · 01/11/2024 14:25

@Callmejudith i think it’s just our bodies getting used to the meds and eating lower calories plus it’s winter gloom landing as it’s easier to do less exercise when it’s dark early or in my case I realised I’d knocked 10-15mins off the dog walk last couple of weeks when I looked at my garmin stats. I hadn’t realised but when it’s wet & muddy it’s certainly less appealing doing the long walk than in summer.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 01/11/2024 15:08

Sorry to hear others are feeling a bit meh at the moment😔
@Callmejudith I reckon it's the month 5 doldrums! 😁

I have spent some time working out what the biggest 4 doses I can possibly get out of a 5mg pen are!! 6.66mg apparently!! Am hoping that will tide me over till the arrival of my 7.5 at the end of the month 🤞

Lynsey14 · 02/11/2024 07:41

Final weigh in yesterday…

SW: 13st 3.5
CW: 10st 7.5
GW: 10st 6

I'm 1.5 off of “healthy” BMI but frankly I’m fine with it. No jab for me today for the first Saturday since June. I’m a bit nervous of what the coming weeks will bring but feeling very ready to go for it. I was at an event last night with loads of people I haven’t seen in a while and they were all going on about my weight loss and saying I look great. I hadn’t really noticed a big change in myself so it was a bit strange for everyone to notice so much. It felt really good!!! Hopefully the right motivation to be able to keep going by myself without the help of my bestie MJ

daffodilandtulip · 02/11/2024 08:57

Yes @AutumnStorms11 my BMR is 1350 now. I work 50 hours on my feet, I walk over 10k steps a day, do one run and one or two HIIT a week and have zero time to add any more! Adjusted for exercise my BMR becomes 1850 and I am tracking calories as accurately as I can.

@Callmejudith I know, you're right, it's just miserable when you try so hard. This is the point in a diet where I usually give up. Weighed this morning and it's just a 1lb gain so hoping for better news this week!

mjdle · 02/11/2024 10:11

I'm finally in the 9's, 9st 11.25 lbs 🎉

Anyone found a solution for loose crepey skin? Mines mostly on my thighs. I'm weight training and using firming lotion. Bought a body brush but it bloody hurts 😂 (might be doing it wrong)

Looking at the non surgical treatments like the ultrasound ones they offer - anyone ever tried them?

AutumnStorms11 · 02/11/2024 12:05

Well done @Lynsey14 i hope the next few weeks go ok. I bottled going cold turkey and gave two pens in the fridge but I’m starting to stretch out my dose to 8-9d now in anticipation of a slow taper.

@mjdle my arms are horrid I never liked them but now they just look 20yrs older than the rest of me so I just cover them up and when I remember do a few press-ups on the end of the bed 🤣my legs are ok as I’ve been running all through out so they have toned ok at the moment.

mjdle · 02/11/2024 13:22

@AutumnStorms11 I might start running again, anything that can help.

How are you finding the spacing out. I'd like to lose another 7lbs but a bit slower (crepey skin) so was thinking of doing the same. I have a 10mg left so was considering a 5mg dose but every 5 days to start if that makes sense

AutumnStorms11 · 02/11/2024 13:34

Last week I did it at 8d and doing same this week and it was fine. May try 9d next.

Megarea · 02/11/2024 16:52

Ugh treated myself to a chinese takeaway last night which was a mistake. According to Just Eat I've not ordered a takeaway since before I started MJ.
Ate hardly any of it as I got full really quickly so I've now got 4 portions in the freezer and felt really rough. Drank 2 pints of water.
Woke up this morning feeling queasy and stayed that way til about lunchtime when I ate a cheese and veg omelette.
Not going to do that again! Thought it would be ok as I've eaten a couple of slices of pizza or a burger on a couple of occasions with no real issues but apparently my system does not like that level of salt/sugar/whatever anymore.

MounjaroUser · 02/11/2024 20:29

AutumnStorms11 · 02/11/2024 13:34

Last week I did it at 8d and doing same this week and it was fine. May try 9d next.

My friend and I have stayed on 7.5 for several weeks now and we inject every 9 days. No side effects at all. The suppression level isn't like it was on day 1 of 2.5 where I couldn't bear to look at food, but it's easy to wait for meals and there's still no temptation to have a drink or each chocolate etc. There also isn't that terrible feeling of fullness that was there right at the beginning, but I didn't want that anyway. I feel full on a lot less and the weight is still coming off.

Newme24 · 03/11/2024 08:01

Woohoo 🥳 finally had a woosh week and have lost 4lbs on my second 10mg pen. So so pleased. Which now brings me to over 3st down from start of June. I'm over the moon. This has made me believe the 11 stones will eventually happen!

SW 15st 6
CW 12st 4

Total lbs lost 44 so incredibly happy 😊

TheShellBeach · 03/11/2024 10:49

I've been a bit dispirited for a couple of weeks, losing and gaining the same 1lb.

But I've had a whoosh at last, and lost 4lb this week.

Now down to 14st 10lb.

That's a total loss of 3st 2lb since June 30th (when I started MJ)

And a total loss of 5st 6lb since January, when I started trying to lose weight.

TheShellBeach · 03/11/2024 10:50

Just realised I'm over halfway now. About another 5st to goal.

AutumnStorms11 · 03/11/2024 10:59

WellDone @Newme24 & @TheShellBeach great progress.

Im in that strange place of feeling done now but ideally want to lose another 7lbs and yesterday ate a big bit of millionaire shortbread as my lovely DD made a GF version which was irresistible but I’m scared to slip back into old ways. Sugar is such addictive drug for me and MJ is the only thing that has curbed that feeling going gluten free last year has been a brilliant excuse to not eat cakes & biscuits especially when out as they make me feel ill.

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 03/11/2024 12:55

@Megarea I can totally sympathise. Had a really rough night culminating in me throwing up at 4am. Hope you feel better soon better soon.

I think I need to drop down for my next one. I took my 5th 10mg last week just before we went away. I didn't think I had great suppression. I felt hungry, ate, also had a few alcoholic drinks but looking back it was all still in moderation and probably closer to what a normal week for a slim person might look like. I also had (sorry TMI) bowel movements everyday which is unheard of for me (been like this for years). Anyway, I lost 1.5 last week (I was genuinely shocked), so down to 13st 7.1, marking just over 4 stone in total now.

Roll on today, I am using a 12.5 mg pen but only taking 11 ish. I think even this is still the too high. Nausea for two days after the jab, barely eat those days but it settles. I had a glass of Prosecco and pie for dinner (didn't eat much), but as I jabbed the same day as this I was up at 4am throwing up. So in reflection, last week was great. Clearly had my friend MJ working for me, lost weight and didn't feel rough. So I'm going to get another 10mg pen next time and see if I can stay on that for a while. It's also cheaper!

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 03/11/2024 12:56

@TheShellBeach @Newme24 Whoppee on the whoosh. Amazing losses, well done both.

Megarea · 03/11/2024 18:32

@Sewfrickinamazeballs sympathies to you too, hope going down a step again fixes it for you

achangeofnameisasgoodasarest · 04/11/2024 08:13

@Sewfrickinamazeballs hope it settles soon. Sounds grim. @Megarea you too.

Slow and steady still here (not helping that my period is now ten days late - flipping peri)... BUT I have now lost 15 kilos since June 8 - the weight of the carry-on bag I struggled with across Italy in the summer.

Start Weight 89.5 kilo
CW 74.4 kilo
GW 65 kilo

Callmejudith · 04/11/2024 09:07

@Sewfrickinamazeballs really hope everything settles that does not sound fun at all!
