You are all doing so well!

Scales flickered onto 74.9 this morning but sadly settled at 75, but still that's 14.5 kilos lost since June - 10 to go. Period due as well...

Family birthday lunch yesterday and I actually didn't hate myself in the photos for once.

Start weight 89.5 kilo
Current weight 75 kilo
Target 65 kilo

Promised myself new pyjamas when I reached 75 kilos so off shopping when work is finished. Mine all have holes in so this is sorely needed!

Callmejudith · 28/10/2024 08:39

@Ineffable23 im the same with the scales. Even now I just don’t want to weigh myself even though I know I’ve lost loads of inches. It’s going to be the only way though for me to maintain and not kid myself!

Yes that's exactly it. And I'm definitely more hungry now I'm going back down the doses. Next dose is due tomorrow. Ate dinner at 6pm yesterday and was thoroughly hungry by the time I woke up today at 6am. Have had a couple of glasses of water and pushed through now for breakfast. Feeling very lucky to have been enjoying not being hungry for the last few months.

Callmejudith · 28/10/2024 09:03

@achangeofnameisasgoodasarest love a new pair of PJs!

Err first time I’ve looked in mirror this morning to see horrid scrawny bingo wings they aren’t nice. I’m off to goggle exercises for arms now.

coffeeandteav · 28/10/2024 12:16

AutumnStorms11 · 27/10/2024 20:49

Well done @coffeeandteav

I’ve just redone my measurements as weight has slowed this month and I’ve lost 5inches off Bust /Weight / Hips each so 15”. Can’t believe I’ve lost that many inches no wonder my smaller leggings & jeans are looking baggy now. I’m still hoping to get to a BMI of 25 by end of November that’s my next goal need another 5lbs to get into the 25s. I’m in a very stressful period of my life at the moment with poorly elderly parents & a teenager with significant issues plus some other things and not having to worry about the overwhelming desire of emotional eating is saving me at the moment as MJ has killed that stress eating feeling

Thank you.

Well done also. Your issues sound similar to mine. Teenager, parents. It just makes daily living so stressful.

Callmejudith · 28/10/2024 15:13

Thanks for the Michael Mosley recommendations - I have read the first couple of chapters of Fast 800 and it all sounds very sensible and not in any way as daunting as having to start it while still at my starting weight!

These are my most recent MeThreeSixty comparison pics.

I still have about 2stone to hit healthy bmi, but a some of my problem is as well as being an apple shape, I have a lot of loose skin from my first pregnancy 24yrs which probably weighs around 7lb and I won’t ever lose.

@JomonotFomo Wow! That's an incredible difference! Well done you 👍👍

I should probably do mine again as am feeling very low about it all at the moment for some reason 🤷‍♀️ despite the Levi's moment this week!

Been thinking and reckon it's maybe because I've set myself a final goal weight in my head and it seems so far away that it feels unattainable. Kinda wish I'd never thought about it tbh!

Also think I have a returning sore food noise - nearly bought a wispa in the garage that morning and could actually imagine the feeling of biting into it! 😱😱😱

Callmejudith · 29/10/2024 10:48

Wow @JomonotFomo that's a massive difference! I also have some delightful loose skin on my stomach

@IReallyNeedThisToWork ive had those food temptations last week and I have given in and ate a medium sized packet of chocolate buttons then interestingly I felt really sick an hour later and really regretted my decision so in a weird way it’s actually helped me change the narrative in my head to yeah they used to taste nice but now make me feel crap. Allowing ourselves permission to try and then acknowledging the feeling after for me is part of this almost recovery from being addicted to sugar. Because I really was addicted uncontrollably before taking MJ. That packet had sat in cupboard for months but I found them when I was feeling low mostly I don’t have much in the house except mini crunchie bars which give me a little treat without many calories

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 29/10/2024 13:10

@AutumnStorms11 thanks. Nice to know it's not just me! Have just caved and eaten a Gu chocolate cheesecake that was in the fridge from the last time the kids were here. It was 2 weeks out of date!!🤦‍♀️

Also just inhaled two slices of buttered sourdough toast. Hope that's the end of it for now but think maybe the 4th 5mg pen was a little optimistic😩

Now to try not to beat myself up about it too badly...

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 29/10/2024 13:14

Oh Lordy! Just realised what the after effects of this are likely to be!! 😩😩😩🤦‍♀️

Callmejudith · 29/10/2024 13:25

Fingers crossed @IReallyNeedThisToWork that the side effects aren't too bad!!

I have to say I am quite looking forward to eating some things that I know would have disagreed with me on MJ (hello M&S macaroni cheese)

OP posts:
IReallyNeedThisToWork · 29/10/2024 13:30

@Callmejudith hah! Many, any years ago, I used to love Heinz tinned macaroni cheese (yes, grim I know😁). Until one day my mum gave me some whilst I was ill and I threw up so badly!

Never been able to eat any sort of macaroni cheese since!😂

DietStartsM0NDAY · 29/10/2024 14:29

Just thought I would pop on and say hello.
I started mid June and have lost 17.5 kg to date (although I haven't weighed in the last few days).
Currently on 10mg and I have definitely noticed my liking and desire for chocolate returning. Not like before where one kitkat chunky would lead to a second and then a binge. It seems controlable at the moment, but I was sort of hoping my tastebuds might have changed permanently.
Also my ability to enjoy a glass of wine of two has returned. This I am more grateful for, and again it seems like I can have a couple and it doesn't lead to me heading too far off piste.
The binging elements of my previous eating will hopefully stay in check and I can eat and drink like a 'normal' person 🤞
Well done everyone. So nice to see those of us who have now been in it for quite a while just plodding on and still losing - even at a reduced rate!

I know why you mean about the tinned macaroni. I used to love it too, with a good squirt of tomato ketchup!! 🤣

AutumnStorms11 · 29/10/2024 17:45

My current treat is two boiled sweets 😂rock n roll baby but two is enough for a sugar hit then I just carry on normally that’s at 3-4pm still get that dip.

Callmejudith · 29/10/2024 18:43

We used to have tinned chicken in white sauce and rice as a proper posh meal. So grim but I loved it!

Jeez, I actually remember Vesta beef curry, which was bought dehydrated in a packet.

We thought we were decadent, eating it. It wasn't as bad as it sounds.......... and you can still buy it on Amazon.

It was launched in 1961 but my mother didn't take the plunge, and she failed to buy it until 1965.

😂😂😂

Callmejudith · 30/10/2024 17:58

Day out with kids today which usually means a lot of food but suppression was good so even though nothing was particularly “healthy” I didn’t overdo it

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 31/10/2024 07:17

@Callmejudith similar here. Away for the week (UK) self catering so easy to keep control. Finding it disconcerting however not having the scales nearby so no idea how I'm doing this week. I'm enjoying myself, having the odd treat but also not overdoing it.

AutumnStorms11 · 31/10/2024 07:32

OMG ordered new jeans online just tried them on and they fit!! Size 12 !! I’m in shock they looked tiny when I got them out the package that I actually didn’t try then last night … only lost 4lbs this month but had a few comments of wow your looking toned and well so upping my running this month has definitely started to change my body shape but yet still my bmi26… I’m actually not that hung up on the bmi as I feel fit n healthy it’s fab.

Megarea · 31/10/2024 08:19

First dose of second 10mg pen today.
.
SW 252.6 lb
CW 209 lb
Total loss: 43.6 lbs

4.8lb loss(!) this week but at least 2lbs of that was period bloat that turned up just before last week's weigh in! Still definitely a whoosh week for me this time.
I'm made up to be in the 14s now😀

thesugarbumfairy · 31/10/2024 10:26

Well I finally hit the halfway mark! 3st in 5 months. No doubt the next 3st is going to take a hell of a lot longer than 5 months but that's ok.

I don't actually feel that fat any more although apparently I need to lose another 2st to even just get into the 'overweight' category. <sigh> I think I've been big for so long, that being a size 16 feels like 'slim' to me 😂

In order to not be technically overweight, I have to actually lose 4st. I can't even contemplate that right now, so I'm just aiming for my original goal of 10st 4 as opposed to 9st 4. But a stone at a time.
I am kind of associating my weights with periods in my life. I was 12st something in my twenties - so that's my first goal. 11st when I got married at 30 - that's my second goal. 10st 4 when I was at uni. That's my main aim.

Anyway, still going. Plod plod plod. On 10mg now. I seem to have gotten a sweet tooth lately, so whilst I'm still sticking to my calories, they aren't really 'valuable' calories. Because I keep wanting chocolate. I'm hoping that wears off a bit. I've got another week, maybe two on 10mg - seeing how it goes.

Callmejudith · 31/10/2024 11:30

@AutumnStorms11 size 12 is AMAZING well done! I have a couple of pairs of size 12 trousers which are my dream, I can do them up but not sure about going out and about in them.

@Megarea whoop for 14s

@thesugarbumfairy 3st is absolutely incredible

I realised yesterday that I have been rubbish on my water intake the last few weeks and that definitely contributes to me wanting to eat more or eat the "wrong" things. Have dug out my big water bottle and am chugging away.
