Hi,
I've taken the plunge and ordered Mounjaro through MedExpress. My prescription was accepted today and as long as it arrives in time I plan to start on Thursday (my birthday is on Wednesday 😂😂). I thought I would start a thread for any new starters if anyone is interested 😊

@thekewgirl where did you order from?

thekewgirl · 02/10/2024 18:35

MedExpress - the needles were different to the ones on the paper. There was no inner shield only an outer shield. I phoned but one lines closed

You can send them a message and complain; See if you can record yourself doing it (no need for full body or face showing, just hands so they see what's happening) so you send it to them as proof and complain. They should send you a replacement pen. Since it's affected more than one needle, the issue has to be the pen and not the needles.

thekewgirl · 02/10/2024 18:38

That's a good idea. I've gone over the instructions so many time and don't what to use yet another needle. Nothing came out when it was primed either

CatKitt · 02/10/2024 18:38

Yeah it has to be the pen. They owe you a replacement since their pen is faulty.

PickleSarnie · 02/10/2024 18:49

I'm about to order. Although keep backing out but I'm sick of being the biggest I've been. I have no clothes that fit and I refuse to buy bigger clothes so will have to either be fat and naked or do something about it and lose weight.

Can I ask a question though. I don't actually own scales. I have rough idea of weight and can go into town to find some scales to use to fill in form reliably but do I have to report weight weekly to whoever I order from? I'm not massively fussed with how many pounds I lose, I'm more concerned with whether clothes fit or not. Also I'm tight and don't want to buy new scales!

PolaDeVeboise · 02/10/2024 19:01

I ordered from ME last Thursday, and it was delivered on Sunday - I must have got in just before the deluge. Anyhoo, first injection tonight! The needle is teeny, didn't don't feel a thing!

Staring weight 15st, BMI 36 want to shift at least 4. Let's do this!

JulesK17 · 02/10/2024 19:19

bughunter · 02/10/2024 17:52

@JulesK17 probably not, because it gives me cramps and then I'm straight to the loo Blush I've just had some electrolytes and feel a little better.

I am sure it will improve once your system get used to the medication. I forgot to mention electrolytes as I have used them for a long time now.

I ordered from them on Wednesday and haven't even had a confirmation email but they've taken the money! Goodness knows what's going on! Xx

butteredparsnip · 02/10/2024 19:54

Can I join please! Did my first injection today eeek! BMI 42, has really crept up since having my daughter last year and am so fed up of being uncomfortable.

letshavetea · 02/10/2024 20:00

@PickleSarnie I think you’ll find it a right pain to go on a Mounjaro journey without your own scales!! They only cost about £20 from Amazon. After all you are going to be spending a lot on the drug itself!

PickleSarnie · 02/10/2024 20:11

@letshavetea Very true. Some of it is the fear of seeing the giant number and worried that it doesn't get less giant. Off to buy some scales!

YummyCookie · 02/10/2024 20:31

Med Express update - mine has now been approved this afternoon )ordered Saturday night) and already dispatched. Should be here tomorrow.

Jb2182 · 02/10/2024 20:45

I've just had mine cancelled from MedExpress 😟😟😟 reason being "Processing delay." I wish I'd known they were going to do that a week ago! 😭

DandelionPockets · 02/10/2024 20:45

First jab just done. Hope I can sleep tonight now 🙏

I also ordered Sat night and got approval and dispatch emails today but mine said it would be here by Saturday!

LeatherJacketWedding · 02/10/2024 21:31

just done my first jab tonight!!! Amazed that I didn’t feel it as I actually didn’t think the needle looked all that tiny, but nope didn’t hurt at all!
ooh… exciting…

UpUpUpU · 02/10/2024 21:39

I am so excited to start tomorrow. I’m going to put my son to bed, have a nice long soak in the bath, face pack and pamper, inject and then bed.
Friday I have a long and busy induction day in my new job so hoping any side effects will be minimal and I’ll be too busy to notice.

I hope all those who have started tonight sleep well x

Doghairismyglitter · 02/10/2024 21:50

So I ordered from MedExpress on Sunday 11pm ish - arrived today from Royal Mail. I was out at work; they left it in the shed, no signature needed and was packed in a cool bag type thing inside the box. I’m starting on Saturday evening as have a super busy Saturday day and don’t want to risk any side effects.
I’ve also bought multi vitamin’s including collagen for potential hair loss, Imodium, heartburn tablets, mint tea, travel sickness pills, electrolyte tablets to put in water. Did my online shopping today for the weekend and ordered no treats and all healthy fresh food and lots of protein. This better work as it’s costing me a fortune already!! 😅
@littleburn I match you almost exactly with weight and height!
good luck all!!

YummyCookie · 02/10/2024 22:57

There seems to be no order for processing. So random!

ohforfoxs · 02/10/2024 23:53

Hi, I'm starting on this journey too so glad to have found you all Smile

ohforfoxs · 02/10/2024 23:57

I've signed up to Juniper to get started. It's more expensive but the support looks good and I want to be accountable. To many half-arsed attempts over the years and now, at 54, my joints are really hurting so I need to take it seriously.

I haven't been on MN in years, but drawn back in with this thread!

LanieM87 · 03/10/2024 07:35

Eek done a little weigh in this morning on day 4 - I've lost 4lbs!

I really need to find some good high protein snacks and options for lunch.

Hope everyone is having a good week!

Rockfordpeach · 03/10/2024 08:04

@LanieM87 amazing, well done! How are you feeling?

I've just taken my first jab. So excited to have started this journey

TheOtherSide21 · 03/10/2024 08:08

Officially I am due my second 2.5mg jab tomorrow, but I’m away for the weekend without a fridge so have taken the second dose a day early. I’ve had no side effects yet and a very amenable level of suppression so hoping it doesn’t bite me in the arse.

Have also done my official first weigh in a day earlier - I’m down 7.5lbs. That’s obviously not going to be sustainable but nice to see and good for the motivation!
