Hi,
I've taken the plunge and ordered Mounjaro through MedExpress. My prescription was accepted today and as long as it arrives in time I plan to start on Thursday (my birthday is on Wednesday 😂😂). I thought I would start a thread for any new starters if anyone is interested 😊

Hi everyone - I had my first injection yesterday. I went with a local pharmacy which offers face to face consultations monthly with weekly phone check-ins. They also provide free membership to Weightwatchers GLP1 programme (for a few months) and access to other online resources on sleep, exercise and mental wellbeing.
They took all my stats including height, weight, blood sugar level and cholesterol. I had pretty much decided what I wanted to do but the pharmacist still took me through all the pros and cons.
I had my first injection whilst I was there and have had absolutely no side effects so far. Had breakfast this morning and have been focussing on increasing my water intake.

littleburn · 02/10/2024 12:38

Did my first injection 24 hours ago and feeling ok. Have a bit of a headache but I think that's from the cough and cold I'm trying to shake off.

I didn't eat today until I started to actively feel hungry, so had a protein shake at 10. Still feel full from it - it's definitely sitting in my stomach! I've been making sure I drink plenty of water (aiming for at least 2.5 litres a day) as I'm paranoid about getting constipated with everything slowing down.

I was really pleased with managing the injection (I'm a bit needle-phobic) and thought I did it very cleanly, but have an inch long bruise pop up on my thigh today!

hopeishere · 02/10/2024 13:09

I've ordered mine today. Eeek!!! From Voy. No email any update yet.

UpUpUpU · 02/10/2024 13:44

I have had my dispatch email today! Says 24 hour tracked but the link for tracking says not yet with Royal Mail so I assume tomorrow? I am WFH tomorrow but on a long shift Friday so fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Just booked my graduation and its 6 weeks today so be so pleased if I could get half a stone off by then.

Wildywondrous · 02/10/2024 13:55

Not sure where my order is.

I had the email yesterday from MedExpress yesterday saying it had been prescribed and dispatched but the Royal Mail tracking website said it's not yet with them.
This morning I received another email from MedExpress asking me to confirm my weight and height and Royal Mail still don't received it.

I wish I'd used Asda as the were very reliable before.

LolaLouise · 02/10/2024 14:19

I had a message this am from medexpress saying it was on hold as they didnt approve my picture, anyone had similar? Howlong after resubmitting did it take for approval?

thekewgirl · 02/10/2024 14:29

Mine has arrived! Woo! I tried it earlier and all was well until the injection bit. The needle went in fine but it's like it's blocked and the liquid didn't go in and the plunger didn't go to 0... will try later and take my time a bit more but I have wasted a needle I think

thekewgirl · 02/10/2024 14:30

Oddly mine on medexpress is still not showing as dispatched but I have it

Pegsmum · 02/10/2024 15:28

Can I join please? Mine arrived today from Cloud Pharmacy, I’m so scared of possible side effects I’ve bundled it into the fridge for now!

Femme2804 · 01/10/2024 22:36

Just did my first weight in this morning. I lost 4.4lbs in 1 week. I’m quite pleased. Please message me if anyone want to use my code for £40off in medexpress

That's amazing! Well done!

I'm still a bit miserable with near constant diarrhoea, I thought it stopped but it came back. It's every time I eat or drink anything.

Have you drinking enough? The second day I had a few toilet trips, not diarrhoea just looser than normal. I’m going about twice a day now, to be honest I can cope with that, keep crossing my fingers I don’t get nausea.
Also, try and limit high fats, concentrate on a bland diet for a while.

IWantToSeeMyFeetAgain · 02/10/2024 16:02

I got my notification from Boots earlier that I’ve been approved and it’s on its way to my local pharmacy. Feeling nervous to start, but looking forward to losing some weight.

My BMI is 37.5 so I’ve got plenty to do, but reading the successes on here I’m feeling very motivated!

keeponplodding7 · 02/10/2024 16:03

I’m starting Sunday! Nervous and excited all at once

Where are you graduating from? I've just started the OU and I'm definitely determined to not be this weight when I graduate

I'm not sure, they queried my height yesterday then a couple of hours later sent an email saying they'd updated my records and it had been prescribed and dispatched but then today they've asked for my height and weight again before it can be confirmed so I have no idea what's going on.

Royal Mail say they were notified yesterday that it was on their way to them but they still haven't received it.

Jb2182 · 02/10/2024 16:28

I ordered Mounjaro starter pen from MedExpress 7 days ago and I haven't heard anything. I uploaded the photos and everything and they took the money straight away but it still says awaiting prescription on the orders page. I've contacted them twice but not heard anything back. Has anyone else had this? It's so frustrating as I can't even try and order from anywhere else without getting the money back!
BMI 33 for context.

Jb2182 · 02/10/2024 16:32

Just read some of the PPs and looks like a lot of people are having similar issues with MedExpress 😔 I wish they'd just refund now so that I can order from someone else.

CatKitt · 02/10/2024 16:35

All these issues people keep reporting from Medexpress are telling me never to order from them, code or not. Seems they're swamped and can't handle the orders due to their code being everywhere. Hopefully, they'll get back on their feet once they've dealt with the backlog.

Wildywondrous · 02/10/2024 16:55

Update to my post here 25 minutes ago...

After my post about MedExpress I went and filled in the satisfaction questionnaire they sent and put that I was very unsatisfied with the service and explained why.

I'm not sure if it's a coincidence but I've just received an email from Royal Mail saying they now have my order and are delivering it tomorrow.

I only ordered it yesterday so I'm not sure what's going on, obviously I'm extremely pleased it's on its way but they do seem in disarray, they clearly can fulfil the orders straight away.

UpUpUpU · 02/10/2024 17:06

@Rockfordpeach I’ve just qualified as a midwife from the University of Derby. I want to look back at the pictures and be proud, not annoyed at my double chin 😂

Mine is being delivered tomorrow!

Crazydogmumma · 02/10/2024 17:40

Can I join please.
I took the plunge and ordered at the weekend from Pharmacy2u. Delivered yesterday and I am going to do my first injection tonight.
Feel slightly sick with nerves but I am 55 and 6 stone overweight- I have nothing to loose (apart from weight - hopefully).

bughunter · 02/10/2024 17:52

@JulesK17 probably not, because it gives me cramps and then I'm straight to the loo Blush I've just had some electrolytes and feel a little better.

Tried again and followed the instructions so clearly and it's blocked - the plunger wont move. It's like the needle is blocked but have tried two now. Anyone had anything similar. Was so exited to start Confused
