Bugger, only meant to post once!🙄

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/09/2024 11:17

So I've taken another 5 as was syringed out

Obv 10 is a large dose

But we doubled 2.5 to 5

So only doubling 5 to 10

I feel fine but will be interesting if that's the right word to see how I feel this week

Pinkjenny · 27/09/2024 11:24

@Arraminta Spoke too soon, I knew I was.

@Arraminta Spoke too soon, I knew I was.

Oh no, nightmare! This happened to me last week, no bleed for 18hrs then started again. I have sodding cramps this morning. Really fed up and I know it's causing my low mood.

MissFancyDay · 27/09/2024 12:13

@Blondeshavemorefun hope you feel ok, that's quite a hefty dose.

Weigh- in and 4th 5mg jab
SW 16st 12lb
CW 15st 12lb

So that looks nice and neat! 7 weeks and 1 stone down, lost at fairly steady 2lbs a week. It seems to be steady at the moment and I am not struggling with the 1200 cals so I will order my second 5mg pen at the weekend. And do my bonus dose next week.

Nothing to report except tummy trouble overnight, wake up with bubbling rumbles, but not much result. It's a shame we can't put TMI behind a spoiler, but anyway. Onwards we go.

Checking in for thread 5 (!) I've been quiet because the horrendous side effects are continuing into week 2 of 5mg
I have taken immodium and managed to get some anti sickness pills from my GP which have helped greatly. I've managed a poached egg on toast this morning - first meal since Saturday afternoon! Due to inject tomorrow and I really don't know what to do??

I'm just finishing my 5mg pen which I've taken in 2.5mg doses twice a week. I've had enough suppression to control my eating and minimised the nausea. I've now stocked up on Kwells which manage my nausea really well when it appears.

I'm continuing this approach for my next pen because I just can't risk being knocked off my feet by side effects.

lookathatbookcase · 27/09/2024 13:11

End of week 8 (!) and I've picked up some new sharps to try and get the elusive bonus dose tonight - and, once again, I'm into late wave of suppression on days 6-7. I'n going to go into another month on a 5ml pen and honestly, may well stay on 3.75ml throughout because it seems to be doing the trick. Have 'only' lost a lb this week but clothes are fitting better, my tummy is definitely getting smaller (also boobs), and my legs look like they're a completely different shape. Godspeed as ever to everyone.

20bloodypounds · 27/09/2024 13:26

Interesting posts about appetite suppresion, hunger and food noise. I'm in my 4th week and apart from the first few days of week 1 (when I hardly wanted anything to eat) I am feeling quite 'normal'. I enjoy thinking about meals, buying and cooking food and I anticipate meals at home or in a restaurant with pleasure. What has been different is that I find it easy to follow intermittent fasting and to not have breakfast, I have cut out all snacking and I'm not even tempted by looking in dh's snack cupboard. I also start out all my meals with reasonable hunger but usually half way through I've had enough and my brain/body is responding quickly to the 'feeling full' messages.

For me the biggest noise difference is drink noise. It used to appeal too much, now I'm happy to leave it. There's a half bottle sitting on the side and I'm just not tempted. That has to be good for my health.

NippyCrab · 27/09/2024 13:35

Hello, weighed in today and I have put on a wee pound! I'm struggling with constipation despite having the lactulose. I would say my diet hasn't been the best this week with variety, not enough water either. I haven't felt great, with a virus, so it's been toast with peanut butter and maybe a banana. My clothes are definitely looser, it's fab to be able to put on a bra and clothes without feeling like a flump tied in the middle. DH leaves Monday again for 10 days so I'm meal planning with plenty of fibre and better walks.
Blondie, congratulations on the scale moving for you 👏 💃🎊

I find if I'm really bunged up and it's been going on a while the only thing that kick starts it is a suppository (tmi!!) but might be worth a go if the other method isn't working!!

I think I might have too 🤔 😅 x

eeeeeeeee · 27/09/2024 13:44

@20bloodypounds Oh yes, I’m not interested in drinking either! I had a couple of nights out in August with 2-for-1 cocktails and I was struggling to finish even 1 of those. Haven’t touched alcohol since. I’m secretly happy about this too. If not for my health, for my bank balance! Plus alcohol used to be a trigger for me eating poor food choices the night of/morning after.

I feel like I’m going to gain weight this next week. I ate a bit too much pizza the other day, I feel super bloated and I’m due on which may be slowing my metabolism further.

TheGirlWithGlassFeet · 27/09/2024 13:45

I'm on my fifth dose (bonus dose) and nearly 1 stone down so very happy but I've been on a constant period since I started Mounjaro. Over 4 weeks now. The dr said it might be related and to give it another couple of weeks. Is anyone else having problems like this?

eeeeeeeee · 27/09/2024 13:50

@TheGirlWithGlassFeet that sounds really annoying and concerning. Did you speak to your GP or your Mounjaro pharmacy? If you haven’t already spoken to your pharmacy, might be worth seeing if they recommend that you continue

WorriedRelative · 27/09/2024 14:04

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/09/2024 08:51

Erm. May be too late

Well guess we will find out

Either I will feel like dreadful shit and have horrible symptoms or be ok

I wanted to go for the extra as want a week of 7.5 now before start it properly next week as I really feel 5 has done nothing

But sounds like I've had a little more

Watch this space ......

If you want to use the bonus to do a step up there is enough to do this in week 5.

Take week 4 as usual. In week 5 there should be a further full dose plus a bit left which gives you a stepping stone.

For anyone else reading please don't double dose it could be dangerous or unpleasant.

Wingingit11 · 27/09/2024 14:10

Blimey @Blondeshavemorefun 0.7 is over a dose so you’re probably on about 11mg🫣😁

I've been down a pound or two all week, so was hoping it would stick at two for my weigh in day. After getting up for an early wee I was gratifyingly two pounds down, but then - thanks to my laziness in creeping back to bed for just a little bit longer - I got up again, had another wee and was three pounds down! I realise this is only stealing a loss from next week, but I'll take it :)

So that's 22lb in 6 weeks, about a third of what I have to lose (am assuming the remaining two thirds will take a lot longer!) and I've managed to get past 10% of my body weight. Am pleased with some nice milestones.

Congrats to @Blondeshavemorefun on eventual weight loss! Hoping the inadvertent dosing excess isn't too drastic.

owlyboo · 27/09/2024 15:14

Well done @weaseleyes !

weaseleyes · 27/09/2024 15:51

Thank you, @owlybooI

Next week I shall be hoping to lose at least a pound to hit single figures. My stone milestones are:

  • x stone 13 - yay! new stone!
  • x stone 9 - yay! single figures
  • x stone 7 - yay! halfway
  • x stone 6 - yay! in the lower half of the stone
  • x stone 0 - yay! nearly in the next one

And... rinse and repeat. Hopefully. These tiny celebrations keep me going. The bit between 6 and 0 is the hardest!

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/09/2024 15:52

Yes don't double dose lol. But I feel ok but obv early days - I may feel awful tomorrow - but will keep you updated

I've had breakfast and lunch as normal so doesn't seem to have done anything so far ......

I'm
Wondering if I am going to be a high responder

Well done @weaseleyes on fab loss

@NippyCrab sorry for gain. Sounds like you need a good poo and maybe some lactulose

@eeeeeeeee I'm similar on the no booze. Poured a gin the other night and had ages sips and thought erm no and tipped it

A few of us are having this issue.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/09/2024 16:12

Periods - I finally stopped few months ago after I hit 51. Was every 28 days

Seems weird it messes with cycles so much but equally sure has a warning saying it messes with contraceptives and use other /be careful /don't plan to get preg

Hi. Yes this is an ongoing problem for some of us on here [waves at pinkjenny] I've had a light bleed + cramps for 3.5 weeks now. This has never happened before starting MJ.
