@itwasnevermine just seen your photos and you look decidedly slimmer, you look about a third narrower in profile. You must feel fantastic.

Arraminta · 09/10/2024 08:17

@owlyboo the same thing happened to me last week. Ordered approved and dispatched within 24 hours but arrived with the icepack melted. Makes me wonder if it was fully frozen to start with?

owlyboo · 09/10/2024 08:18

@Arraminta yeah good point! We shall see how cold this package is! At least it's cold outside today I suppose!!

It's amazing! It also proves to myself that I had been lying about my dress size and squeezing myself into clothes far too small for me 😅😂 I honestly can't believe that two stone has made that much difference

owlyboo · 09/10/2024 08:35

Eugh. Scrolling tik tok (don't judge!) and an interview from GMB came up about a lady on 'weight loss drugs' headline was 'weigh loss drug not the easy way out' she went on to describe her horrific side effects/hospitalisation then explained how she got the drugs for £20!!!

So it had actually nothing to do with legitimate weight loss drugs!

@owlyboo this shit grinds my gears, but it is so typical of media coverage. I think for everything really. The journos rummage around to find the most awful stories and then loosely conflate them to something that they know people are interested in. It is always the worst case scenario and then you dig around in the actual facts and realise it is mostly bollocks!

owlyboo · 09/10/2024 08:42

@MargoLivebetter like saying 'contact lenses not the easy way out for glasses wearers.' Two minutes later, woman goes blind after sticking glass in her eyes she found in the street in an attempt to make her own contacts...

WitchDancer · 09/10/2024 08:42

owlyboo · 09/10/2024 08:13

@WitchDancer I would personally just jab but i don't get awful side effects.... I would also think if for a penny in for a pound and get it over and done with rather than spread out the symptoms/rough days but im clearly a glutton for punishment!!!

Thank you for your thoughts but there's no way I can do what I need to do this week with the horrific side effects I've been having. I had to have time off work with them last week, so I'm definitely not doing a proper dose!

owlyboo · 09/10/2024 08:43

Oh sorry @WitchDancer I must have missed that! Defo don't jab!!

No worries - it's not easy to keep a track of everyone on here Flowers

WorriedRelative · 09/10/2024 08:52

Broke the 95kg barrier this morning at 94.9kg! Feels like a little progression.

WorriedRelative · 09/10/2024 09:04

And just realised that it is also the 15stone barrier, I am now 14st13.2

Next threshold will be a 10% loss and that's within sight.

@AnnieMcFanny I mainly take cyclizine for nausea but I also have kwells. Anything mint or ginger is also good. Hope you feel better soon😊

Hibthere. Did you get cyclizine for nausea from your GP? I asked mine but she said because she hadn't prescribed MJ she couldn't prescribe anything related to it and she didn't know anything about it. I am over 60 and eligible for free prescriptions too. It really annoyed me because it was one of the other GPs who brought up my weight as a risk factor and mentioned MJ, again she didn't know anything about it and I wasn't eligible on NHS. Given that I have gone and done it privately to reduce medical risk (my starting BMI was 30.1) and given that obesity is related to many health issues that the NHS treats, I think GP's need to be aware of weight loss drugs and more supportive. Sorry for the rant..it's probably because I don't sleep well on MJ and have been awake since 6.30. Have a good day everyone xx

owlyboo · 09/10/2024 09:24

Well done @WorriedRelative !!

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/10/2024 09:34

I've done a new thread as this is almost full

FlappingMadly · 09/10/2024 10:11

@WitchDancer if you are sure feeling rubbish was down to the jab and hand on heart have been eating sensibly but still feeling very icky I would go down a dose.

Argh Tik Tok! There’s always one.

I saw an 11% post! 💃💃💃. Can’t find it now but congrats whoever you are!!

I feel like this sort of reporting should be illegal, honestly.

She's not on mounjaro she's on some random shit she found from a salon

owlyboo · 09/10/2024 10:14

@itwasnevermine I know it's ridiculous isn't it, such scare mongering and the exact reason many of us don't tell many people we're on it as they hear half a story and 1+1 suddenly = 10 and they're experts on why people shouldn't be taking it.

itwasnevermine · 09/10/2024 10:18

It's like when Lottie Moss got dodgy Ozempic and said it was legit, but she was 9 stone when she went on it!!! And then all the comments said how bad MJ is

owlyboo · 09/10/2024 10:24

So order arrived... and it's freezing cold and came in a little cool box lunchbox with the ice pack. Don't know if they sent it extra fast and safely as was three jabs?! Anyway they're here and safe!

owlyboo · 09/10/2024 10:25

Oh and @Blondeshavemorefun thanks for the advice, checked exp and not until late next year so all fine!

Thank you!

@Azuresky68 Yes, I get mine on prescription. Its available online from various pharmacies.
I am fed up with most of the medical profession at the moment. My GP and GP surgery is useless, private menopause specialists seem to cherry pick the info and feedback they are given. They are all driving me to distraction right now.
When will women be heard and treated as individuals not as a f*ing tick box excerise.😡

itwasnevermine · 09/10/2024 11:49

Day 5 of 5.8mg and the suppression is still high. I'm very surprised

Abs-bloody-lutely. Women are overmedicated because drug dosage trials are done on men - don't worry that we make up over half of the population. 😡They don't give a damn about menopause - lose weight, do more or take anti-depressants are the options I've been given by my GP. That's why I turned to MJ for help, as everything that used to work now doesn't, and I'm having to navigate this with no medical support! To be frank, we are all doing this blindly, but thank god for this group to discuss.

And another thing—did you know that until 2022, the most commonly used dummy was based on the average male build and weight? ER HELLO!!! Sorry, I could rant for bloody ages on this. 😂
