Thanks @FlappingMadly it's depressing isn't it you're working hard to get everything else nice and flat but the one place you'd like a little bit extra fat...nothing!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/10/2024 18:09

Thanks @owlyboo @Timetochange24 @MissFancyDay

10yrs now but still miss her so much esp once I became a mum

I can almost understand the rage if free. It I think all of us are paying for it

Wingingit11 · 08/10/2024 18:09

Realised today I am over 10% of body weight lost . It’s crazy to find something that actually works for once

OP posts:
Princessandthepie · 08/10/2024 18:27

@Wingingit11 me to, 11.5% down!

So at 13.11, this is the lowest I've been since November 2021!

I'm pondering how much more I will lose now as I expect it may slow down a bit. I don't think my body even remembers being less than this current weight so I think I'm in for an interesting couple of months!

owlyboo · 08/10/2024 18:36

@Wingingit11 @Princessandthepie you got me intrigued so I googled how to work out my weight loss percentage as I had no idea and I've lost just over 13%! Crazy!! (That does include my pre MJ 9lb loss)

AnnieMcFanny · 08/10/2024 18:36

I’m not feeling well at all today and I think I wasn’t feeling great yesterday either. I’m on my second 5mg pen and I had my dose on Sunday afternoon but I’m feeling sick and have bouts of heartburn and acid reflux throughout the day. In fact I have been sick twice and I feel exhausted but I put that down to going with one of my daughters for a biopsy today and being up to hi doh about her.

Could this be a reaction to the Mounjaro, it would be the first reaction, and what can I take for the nausea pls.

Sorry to hear about your daughter, I hope she's doing okay.

There's a nausea med that begins with a c but I can't remember it. I found my side effects were worse when I was stressed

Wingingit11 · 08/10/2024 19:03

Amazing work @owlyboo @Princessandthepie ! I’ve not been this successful in weight loss for years!

@AnnieMcFanny so sorry to hear you’ve had a difficult day x

OP posts:
owlyboo · 08/10/2024 19:08

@Wingingit11 same. I was tiny after having my second DC (weird I know but I trained all the way through having him and the weight just dropped off me after giving birth) this was 2014, I then maintained until Covid so for a good six years. Then it literally all went wrong for me. Falling out of habits etc. So im hopeful building up these habits of regular exercise and smaller portion sizes will allow me then make the same good choices to maintain like I did previous to covid. 🤞

I'm glad it's working for you as well!

owlyboo · 08/10/2024 19:09

@AnnieMcFanny hope your daughter is okay and you're feeling better. Not sure about the nausea sorry. I'm sure someone more helpful will come along soon!

MabelSpan · 08/10/2024 19:10

@AnnieMcFanny I mainly take cyclizine for nausea but I also have kwells. Anything mint or ginger is also good. Hope you feel better soon😊

weaseleyes · 08/10/2024 19:15

Sounds rotten @AnnieMcFanny. I had a couple of days of feeling really nauseated last week, which seemed random for MJ. It's hard to know if it's a passing bug or the medication. I just tried to sleep more than usual and had Evade travel sickness pills (think they're recommended in the info on the main thread), which seemed to help a little. It wore off after a couple of days whatever it was.

Princessandthepie · 08/10/2024 19:16

@AnnieMcFanny hope you feel better soon and your daughter OK.

Thanks @Wingingit11 and @owlyboo my percentage is just on the voy app.

itwasnevermine · 08/10/2024 19:37

I have my two month progress pic incoming!

I don't have "proper" pics as I just forget to take them, so take them with a pinch of salt but I can see a difference! Gym pic was at the start of the journey, work clothes is tonight

Wow! Huge difference!!! Well done! You must be so pleased!!

lookathatbookcase · 08/10/2024 19:38

@itwasnevermine Amazing! and love the cowboy hat :)

@itwasnevermine Amazing! and love the cowboy hat :)

Maybe one day I'll lose enough to become a proper cowboy 🤣

Thank you @owlyboo! I think when you see yourself everyday it's quite hard to notice a difference, so seeing it laid out like that is lovely

Wingingit11 · 08/10/2024 19:41

@owlyboo kids have a lot to answer for 😅 I was TINY before kids!

OP posts:
MargoLivebetter · 08/10/2024 19:50

@itwasnevermine well done you. That's a huge difference.

Timetochange24 · 08/10/2024 19:52

@Wingingit11 ha ha they really do! I was at my pre-wedding weight within 5 months of having dd2 (having been a lot heavier before having dc) and felt amazing - whatever pregnancy and bf did to my body, the weight just dropped off. Then life and work went a bit pear shaped thanks to the dc, and so did I.

@itwasnevermine that's such a big change already! Well done 👏

@AnnieMcFanny I hope your daughter is OK, and that you're feeling better soon.

And well done to all the big %s - it's so reassuring to see numbers like that. I'm sitting at about 10% down but hoping for a good old whoosh next week if my period ever decides to stop meandering about and just happen. (Think I'm joining the weird period side effect club this month)

Wingingit11 · 08/10/2024 20:00

@Timetochange24 you’ve had weight off after at least - I just basically doubled since I got married !

OP posts:
MargoLivebetter · 08/10/2024 20:33

I can't blame my DC. I've believed I was fat since I was 11 years old, even though I wasn't. But that was when I was first put on a diet by my mother (who believes that anything other than model slimness is abhorrent). I've had a dysfunctional relationship with food ever since then. It's been an awful battle for 44 years.

The relief of the food noise having stopped is so immense.

weaseleyes · 08/10/2024 20:34

Wow @itwasnevermine! Huge change around your middle region, well done! You must feel loads better

Wingingit11 · 08/10/2024 20:36

@MargoLivebetter me too. Just had a discrete very thin phase when I had a lot of time to exercise !
