Thanks to whoever said it's important to try and eat something to help with the nausea. Felt a bit ropey tonight. Ate a bit, felt better!

Wingingit11 · 21/09/2024 20:44

@Fourfurrymonsters sounds more like covid🫣

I hadn’t even thought of that 😭😭😭

eeeeeeeee · 21/09/2024 20:54

Your pen should have an expiry date printed on it 😊 I’d use that.

Edited

Thank you. I'll do that.

SilverSprings510 · 21/09/2024 23:18

NSV (sort of) for me tonight. Bought a pair of jeans after I had the baby and couldn’t get them past my knees. I can get them up and fastened now! They’re not quite wearable yet but I’m getting there 🫶🏼

Fabulous feeling! Well done you!

@DitzyDoes I’m currently away from home and have done a 10 hour flight plus trains. My pen was in my handbag the whole time.

Thanks! Are the needles in your handbag as well and did security question this? Also (sorry!) did you have to put this as under 100ml liquid when going through security? Hope you are having a lovely holiday!

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/09/2024 07:56

@SilverSprings510 fab !!

Motnight · 22/09/2024 08:55

I am so tired! Taking my 3rd dose of 5 mg today. I think that I have lost around 20 lbs since starting M. I have a lot to lose though. Definitely feel physically better apart from the tiredness. I need to get more steps in.

Thank you to everyone who is posting on this thread, it's a real support to me.

Pinkjenny · 22/09/2024 08:59

Bloody Nora the 5mg suppression is strong! I feel like everything I ate yesterday is still in my throat! Feel a bit achy too. Going to see how I go because we are going to a christening next Sunday and I don't want to feel rough.

It's tolerable at the moment.

NippyCrab · 22/09/2024 09:35

Morning, not really applicable for our group but here's an email from Oushk regarding the 10mg pens.

I agree the 5mg suppression is strong! I had 3 tiny meals yesterday and have only just thought about food 5 mins ago (been up since 5am with the kids).

I had my 2nd 5mg dose yesterday as well so it’s well and truly kicked in.

I’ve told my husband as we talked it through before I started MJ. He’s really supportive and if anything, now he’s saying I’m keep him on a healthier lifestyle (he doesn’t need to lose any weight). I told my parents and my sisters and they’ve been really supportive too. I haven’t told any friends yet and probably won’t for a while. I think once the weight loss is more noticeable, maybe I’ll mention it.

Wingingit11 · 22/09/2024 10:22

@NippyCrab think it’s just 15 not 10 atm? hira said on the live shd be only a short shortage for them but it did make my heart plummet a bit 😅

Pinkjenny · 22/09/2024 10:36

@Blondeshavemorefun I'm just hoping the next dose works for you!

Wingingit11 · 22/09/2024 10:42

@Blondeshavemorefun do you feel that mj has affected you in any way? Perhaps it’s more subtle than you hoped ?

Mum0ntherun · 22/09/2024 11:22

One month since I started MJ (took the bonus jab last night).

SW 19.1
CW 17.12
17lbs lost!!!! Stunned!
Eating between 1300-1600 calories a day.

I'll start 5 next week - hope I’ve made the right choice by going up. The food noise has increased, which is the killer for me, so I hope 5 sorts it out. I’ve had no significant side effects so fingers crossed it continues.

poppym12 · 22/09/2024 11:27

I've just done my second 5mg injection. I was hesitant about whether to reduce the dose as I could barely eat last week until Friday but thought that maybe my body isn't going to be as shocked this time. I hope not anyway.

Wingingit11 · 22/09/2024 11:30

@poppym12 snap half an hour ago and I swear it’s already in suppression mode !

JoyousSwan · 22/09/2024 11:32

@Mum0ntherun that's fantastic we'll done 😊

I'm at the end of my 2nd week of the 5mg injection and didn't find the increase too bad. I did have some stomach cramps on the first week but this week has been fine. I've got a stinking cold but that's not the injection! The reduction in food noise is what's really helping me too!

eeeeeeeee · 22/09/2024 11:39

I’ll share my stats too. I’m a bit disappointed with my current progress as I have stalled.

Starting Weight (1st August):

•	Weight: 74kg
•	BMI: 32

After 4 Weeks of 2.5mg:

•	Weight: 67.2kg
•	BMI: 29
•	Total lost: 6.8kg

After 3 Weeks of 5mg:

•	Weight: 64.9kg
•	BMI: 28
•	Total lost: 2.3kg

Total weight lost after 7 jabs of MJ: 9.1kg

5mg has been a sweet spot in terms of no side effects whilst having appetite suppression, but I’m looking forward to seeing if 7.5mg helps boost my overall progress. I could totally see myself using 5mg as a maintenance dose in the future once I’ve lost my remaining weight.

Wingingit11 · 22/09/2024 11:44

@eeeeeeeee that is loads - almost 20lb and you look to be quite light to start with! Well done

OP posts:
MabelSpan · 22/09/2024 11:51

@eeeeeeeee you are doing really well! Your starting weight is almost my goal weight😆
Maybe if you work out your losses as a percentage it will help you see how much you have lost in the grand scheme of things?

I think you ate my twin! My 3rd dose of 5mg today and identical loss!
I am exhausted too.i think I want stick at 5 for another month.whilst I am loving ghe suppression and weight loss, I definitely do not want to eat any less.i don't feel hungry but get lightheaded and realise I have only had 700 calories in the last 24 hours.

MabelSpan · 22/09/2024 12:03

I am just coming to the end of my first week on 5mg and I am really pleased to replort minimal side effects again.
Slight nausea the day after jabbing, so took a cyclizine for that, had a little more mild nausea a couple more times but nothing worth mentioning really. Still burping but the hiccups seem to have given up. The most annoying side effect is, because I cant breathe through my nose, I sleep with my mouth open and it is getting completely dried up through the night. Its really annoying but I am not sure what I can do to combat that...
Food noise has been completely silent, as it has been for me since the beginning of mj. Not a craving in sight. Supression has also been great, probably a bit stronger since going up to 5mg than on 2.5mg.

Its weigh day and mj day for me tomorrow so will update with stats then😊
