Then silly her if the same one

I'm eating.

Just worried I seem to be eating too much as roughly same diet as sw and would lose a lb a week so don't understand why pleateau for so long

I don't have tick tok - I read about her yesterday on one of the mj threads here

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/09/2024 07:46

And as usual I have weed every sodding 2hrs again 🙄🙀😡

10 12 2 4 6 and need another one now

I moan about it every jab - so sorry you must all be bored of me now

But what an annoying symptom as Also makes me so tired as lack of sleep

It does settle down after 2/3 nights

But whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy does it happen to me

If the companies are reading this remember to include in list of possible symptoms 😂

MidLifeResurgence74 · 21/09/2024 08:13

So my explosive 💩lasted for 4 nights and 5 days. I think we categorically say it wasn’t the chocolate buttons! I’ve never ever felt so ill. Utterly debilitating. I purposely missed my 7th dose on Thursday- I think I’ll wait until next Thursday to take it, and I’ve decided I’ll finish this pen (it’s a 5mg but I’m only taking 3.75mg at a time) and then call it a day. I just can’t cope with feeling so ill and being so crippled by side effects that my life is impacted in such a way.

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/09/2024 08:15

Sounds awful @MidLifeResurgence74

Is this after every jab or possibly a bug this time

Lots of bugs and sickness about local to me

Thankfully avoided it

@Blondeshavemorefun my side effects are continuous nausea so I can’t eat, and when I do eat (even the smallest amount), the bloating is so bad! And because I can’t eat at all I can’t take in enough calories to do the things I love like weight lifting. The week long explosive 💩 was just the very unwanted ‘icing’ on the cake 😂😂

Usernamechangeforthis12 · 21/09/2024 08:42

@MidLifeResurgence74 - sorry you’re feeling so awful.

I’ve done 4 weeks at 2.5, 2 weeks at 3.75 and took my first 5 on Wednesday.

I won’t be taking 5 again. I’m going to go back down and stick with 3.75.

I’ve only managed to eat a small jacket potato since Wednesday and have been up with a gurgling stomach and explosive 💩. I’ve just taken some loperamide that I’ve found but it’s 2 years out of date! Hoping that may at least allow me to get out and get some new!

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/09/2024 08:44

So weird how effect us diff. 5 doesn't seem to do anything for me

Pinkjenny · 21/09/2024 08:49

I've just taken my first 5mg which I now think was unfortunate timing for these comments!

Anyway, I'll see how I go. I've also weighed in. So in my 4 doses of 2.5mg I've lost 13lb. Didn't quite crack that stone but absolutely delighted nonetheless.

I felt a bit better yesterday (day 6 of my first 5mg) so managed to eat a bit more. I'd also shifted the constipation thanks to Movicol. However, I'm feeling full and bleurgh again this morning so I don't think I'll be injecting my second 5mg tomorrow. I'm not sure what to do yet.

SilverSprings510 · 21/09/2024 09:42

@Pinkjenny to offer another take, I took my first 5mg on Tues and haven’t had any terrible side effects at all. In fact, I felt worse from my first 2.5s than my 5! Suppression is definitely back but I’m eating pretty normally, sticking to around 1200 cals a day.

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm stocked up with all the meds just in case.

First congratulations on your weight loss, I’ve lost 12lbs in the same time!
I took my first 5mg yesterday afternoon, same as you was anxious about other peoples experiences, so have stocked up on Imodium etc… But so far other than heart burn that I already had, don’t feel any different. After the first 2.5 jab I woke up feeling really nauseous, but don’t even feel that this time. Don’t feel particularly hungry either which is good- still deciding on breakfast!!
Perhaps I’ve got a delayed response though! I’ll see how I feel at the end of the weekend!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/09/2024 14:50

Thanks @FlappingMadly

@WorriedRelative no I've been on mj almost 2mths. On last dose of 5 next week

7.5 is ready in my fridge

Oh sorry! Even so your progress is fine, especially as you had already lost a stone before MJ so probably didn't have the big water weight loss quite the same.

I hope 7.5 gives you slightly quicker progress.

Do you weigh weekly or daily? It might be worth trying daily, I weigh daily and find my weight loss graph is really spikey. I often gain before a loss. If I weighed weekly I could easily miss progress by weighing on a good day one week and a bad day the next. I find it takes the pressure off and helps me see what food/drink/habits make a difference.

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/09/2024 10:43

I weigh weekly. I think fault is obsessive (sorry)

But weight same time fri am after a wee. In pjs so same clothes

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/09/2024 10:44

Ffs fault not fault

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/09/2024 10:44

Ahhhhhhh

Daily !!!!!!!

Bloody iphone spellcheck

Bloody mn app not being able to edit !!!!

Princessandthepie · 21/09/2024 10:59

Just checking in!

I've been super busy with life at the minute!

Weight loss seems slowed down but im still 3lbs off this week, it's weird as the days seem super long to me at the moment so I feel like the past week has been 2 weeks! 🙈

I'm now 20lbs down in 49 days and jeans are feeling looser. Need to dig out an old pair.

SW 15 stones 8lbs
CW 14 stones 2lbs

I hope you're all doing OK. X

FlappingMadly · 21/09/2024 11:03

Sorry @MidLifeResurgence74 it sounds awful. Couif you perhaps have a chat with your provider? Maybe there are tweaks that could help. Did you ever find out if it was a bug? On the upside maybe you view chocolate buttons differently now 😜

I am TEN grams from being 5kg down. Grrr.

@FlappingMadly waiting for GP results on sample 😱

AnnieMcFanny · 21/09/2024 12:53

I’m one day before my 3rd 5mg dose and I’ve had awful heartburn on and off for a couple of days now. Granted I’ve just done a very long plane journey and that really is the only thing I can say that’s different to my normal week.

am dreading the rennies medication that’s just about to be delivered. Please tell me it’s not as bad as Gavisvon 🙈

lookathatbookcase · 21/09/2024 13:03

Sorry, dumb question, but when people talk about buying needles to extract the bonus dose, are they talking about something like this?

ChunkyMunky · 21/09/2024 13:49

I’ve been out this morning with a close relative that I’ve not seen since I started my MJ journey. I was looking forward to the catch up but it’s left me feeling a bit deflated.

They made no comment on my weight loss, which is fine - my primary goal is to be more healthy, not to look good for other people. But while we were chattering away, the topic of healthcare / the NHS came up, and this person went off on a bit of a dialogue about how one of the ‘big problems’ is people using diabetic drugs for weight loss and the resulting shortages. Now I did manage to make the point that treating obesity, and therefore possibly preventing diabetes is highly beneficial for the NHS (and individuals), but it seemed to fall on deaf ears. Now admittedly, this person did not seem knowledgeable on the topic, saying things like “people take Ozempic because they just want to take a pill and carry on eating rubbish”. I didn’t have the strength to argue and just shut the conversation down.

I am so so glad that I hadn’t told this person (or anyone else) that I’m using Mounjaro. But it has made me a bit sad that I will probably always have to keep it a secret or will face very harsh criticism, not only of my weight loss, but maybe also of my ethics. And then I feel doubly guilty, because if I can lose lots of weight without crediting Mounjaro, then I’m adding fuel to the argument that diet and exercise is all that’s ever needed, and I really don’t think it’s that simple. It’s left me feeling a little glum, but I am deeply thankful to these threads for keeping me company on this journey. Without you lovely lot I think I’d be feeling rather isolated today. Thank you for being here.

Wingingit11 · 21/09/2024 13:59

@ChunkyMunky eurgh. It’s just ignorance and to be brutal the savings for the nhs for obesity related conditions is potentially massive. Don’t let a negative Nelly get you down !

ChunkyMunky · 21/09/2024 14:20

Thanks @Wingingit11

To be honest the conversation has made me reflect on other comments that this relative has made over the years, and I think it boils down to their own insecurities. They would be equally judgemental about any sort of diet plan (everything is “just another fad”). They can also be quite negative about people spending money on things like getting their hair / nails done, and seem to take pride in not wasting money on frivolous things like makeup. I think I need to learn to take their opinions with a pinch of salt on this matter. It’s just a shame, as they I really value their opinions on many other topics, and we are very close.

I think I’d have a bit more patience if they’d gone down the route of worry about side affects, or will it last etc, but to lunge straight to the idea that it was a selfish act, depriving the poor diabetics of their medication caught me off guard. But I do genuinely believe that we are doing the right thing here. Obesity is such a massive issue for individuals, and wider society, that taking action to tackle it can only be a good thing.
