@Queezee I felt awful first week. Nausea. Headache. So tired and seeing eveey 1-2 hrs at night so up 6/7 times 11-7

@doodles55 it could be that you just need longer to build up the dose. The way I understand it is that the first month is just to get you used to MJ and it's the 5mg MJ that will "work".

You may just be a slow burner, and I know how frustrating that must be.

Have you felt any food suppression at all but just not lost weight? Could you be losing inches at the moment?

Yeah it’s very frustrating, waking up each morning, and no change
I must be resistant to the starter dose, or at least I’m telling myself that
no appetite suppression, no side effects
it’s just a nothing nothing !,!

@doodles55 oh that's sounds pretty crap, no wonder you're frustrated.

But you have the pen so I'd stick it out for the duration, you may be a whoosher!! Go along for a while, then a whoosh down!

@doodles55 I’ve googled a lot and not losing during these first weeks of 2.5 is very common. Do you feel anything after a meal? No sense of fullness?
I only had minor nausea first couple of days and no suppression. Or maybe I’m not understanding what suppression would feel like as I don’t feel the need to eat between meals.

I’m sorry, sounds very frustrating. As mentioned maybe your body is a whoosher and is currently thinking wtf! but will catch up.

Morning! I am due to take my 4th 2.5 injection today (8lb lost so far), how do I know/gauge if there is additional left? I have read about the hard twist but I am still confused by this. Thanks in advance

Day six for me today. Due to work commitments I’m going to have to take the 2nd injection on Thursday rather than tomorrow which is frustrating but it can’t be helped.

BMI has gone from 35.7 to 35.2

I would’ve liked to have been in the 15 stone bracket, as I hadn’t actually realised my weight had crept up to 16 stone. That was a bit of a shocker when I saw that when I weighed myself one day one. But I can’t argue with a 4lb loss

You can see in the window in the pen. There's a black plunger thingy, which moves towards the needle end every time you inject, plus there's lines for each dose on there.

Urgh I made a big mistake and now 13 hours later I’m still paying for it! Having picked 1kg of blackberries I made the family apple and blackberry crumble which we had last night. I had two desert spoons worth with a plop of custard. Been awake almost all night with bloating, wind, burps etc. This morning I look 5 months pregnant!! Am also seriously constipated.

@AuntieDote I cancelled with Voy and went to Oushk. I don't want to rely on discount codes to afford this because it's the best thing I've done. I found the process really easy and quick. Their FB support group is brilliant, they personally reply to you on there, call you and do lives. They have a great maintenance plan with 3 options coming soon too. You can also get £10 off an order site wide with a code they have on their main website page. All in all I've found them great, you can also choose your delivery day and between 2 carriers.

Can I ask a quick question?
My first pen arrived yesterday, the ice packs were completely melted and the pen box wasn't cold. I've put it in the fridge but not taken it yet as I'm not sure if it will be ok, can anyone advise what I should do?

@VWGolfmk2 a pen can be kept unrefrigerarated for 30 days after first use. It's in your patient information leaflet. Just start using it.

I've started ordering vegetable omelettes when my OH orders from chinese - if he orders a pizza I get a chicken kebab, and I can only manage half without making myself sick

Looking for advice please, I need to order my second pen, I've just done my 4th jab. If you have already gone up to 5mg, do you get more side effects/more suppression? Any difference at all? Do you get that first week surge of weight loss again? I can't decide whether to stay on 2.5 or move up?
Have lost 11lbs in 3 weeks. Still a way to go though.

Hi @TinaTotal I didn't get worse side effects on 5mg.

In fact, I've got to 10mg now and still only getting a little occasional nausea.

The suppression is very good. I will probably stay on 10mg.
