2nd jab this morning. I lost 4lb the first week. I was hoping for more but I'll take it.

SW 13.9
CW 13.5

And I had a pizza hut buffet yesterday when I had zero suppression left!

I get paid tomorrow so going to cancel with Voy now and order my next pen. Think med express is the cheapest with code at the moment - anyone used them recently? I believe they had some delays with delivery recently.

Also - I know I could specify a delivery date/ collect with Asda but don’t have one near me. Any others that let you specify a delivery day?

I ordered my next pen 18th and it arrived 23rd. I have been well happy with MedExpress and have been with them since I started (2 pens). They do email you information so you're not completely on your own.

I am so looking forwards to being a bit thinner. I do exercises to help my back every morning, and today I was just so conscious of heaving my bulk around on the floor like a beached whale! I have some arthritis in my spine, so I'm not expecting to be able to flip about in a gymnastic fashion whatever my weight, but it will be nice if eventually thinner me can turn over on the floor without it feeling like a strategic military operation.

Pinkjenny · 26/08/2024 10:54

Flip about in a gymnastic fashion Grin

Hi can’t believe how this thread has moved on been away for a week!
How do I cancel my next Voy pen as they seem to be sending it automatically?
I think I will try another provider like med express.
I have lost 10 lbs in just over 3 weeks.
I think I may stay in the 2.5 dose as have a bit of an upset tummy a couple of days after taking.

ChunkyMunky · 26/08/2024 10:57

After a brilliant first week, I’m really struggling in week 2.

Week 1 was great, I could eat whatever I fancied in a small portion, and felt good suppression but could still enjoy a main meal each day.

Week 2, I made the mistake of having a small amount of takeaway food (thinking great - I’m eating loads less than usual). Unfortunately this was followed by 48 hours of diarrhoea, absolutely zero appetite. Couldn’t even face drinks unless I was close to a loo (sorry). Thankfully that has stopped now but I have no appetite at all, and after days of not eating my energy levels are on the floor. Even walking up the stairs makes me ache.

I don’t want to eat today, the thought of it is making me nauseous, but I know I need to. Really hoping that I can get back to feeling ‘normal’ before my next dose is due. I don’t want to give up on this, but I know I’ve got a busy few weeks in work coming up, and I need to be able to function.

Cleverchops · 26/08/2024 11:01

I have just emailed them to cancel the next one.. I got an automated reply saying they can’t reply for 24/48 hours… really hope that is so I can’t cancel in time as above in the thread 🥲

Hehe! This made me laugh😂I can relate to it so much.
I stopped doing floor based exercises for that very reason. I resembled and felt like an elephant seal!
I have several bulging discs, and I know they are more likely to flare up and cause horrendous sciatica, the heavier I am.
I cant wait to be able to roll around on the floor and get up without it taking almost as long as the exercises did!

Cleverchops · 26/08/2024 11:10

Positive side effect - no puffy ankles even when it was hot! Also my face is a lot less puffy.. so really happy with that! Only downside an upset tummy the day after I take the injection.. so am thinking of changing the day so it’s not at the weekend.

Pinkjenny · 26/08/2024 11:13

I take medication for my blood pressure and I've noticed the swelling in my ankles has gone too.

cosylife · 25/08/2024 13:52

2nd dose of 2.5 yesterday and the suppression is suppressing HARD 😂 I’ve had 2 scrambled egg with smoked salmon and half a flatbread all day. Just feel so full but also soooo thirsty!

Im aiming for a 2lbs loss this week to hit my stone loss target then hopefully keep the losses consistent at around 2-3 a week.

I’ve decided to leave Voy for my next pen - I’ve received zero support and they were meant to WhatsApp me yesterday to remind me to weigh in and I’ve had nothing so not sure what extras I’ve paid for really!

I agree nothing from Voy my start weight was wrong and I couldn’t change it so the whole chart is buggered! I have just messaged to cancel and I’m
going to try med express I think.

That’s interesting I am on blood pressure meds too? I hope it doesn’t come back when we stop taking it.. I can’t stop admiring my ankles 😂

I used them. Wed did consult. Thur approved and sent. Fri got it

Great service and their 2.5 and 5 are same price

TheShellBeach · 26/08/2024 11:41

My ankles are also looking thinner. In fact my legs generally are slimming down.

I'm really pleased about that because I used to have lovely legs (about twenty years ago). I have hated them getting fatter and fatter.

Cleverchops · 26/08/2024 12:04

I got a reply to my email and they have cancelled - if anyone else wants to stop the Voy payments.. a bit naughty really I didn’t read anywhere it was on subscription.

Yay! As I mentioned I hope it’s permanent for us.

Just log into your account (online - not the app) and click on ‘plan’ - at the bottom it gives you the option to cancel plan. It asks why - just a tick box - then offers you £70 or something off the next pen (can’t remember how much it was now but quite a big discount!) I cancelled anyway though just another click and then done. It’s not tricky at all!

I used to have great legs too! Whilst I’m never going to be sporting hot pants or micro minis again whatever size I get down to; I am looking forward to a bit more flexibility in what I wear - I know I could get my knees out now if I wanted and sod what anyone thinks but I’m not that evolved sadly!

SomeonTookMyAnonymousUserName · 26/08/2024 13:33

New joiner here! It's a relief to find people
to 'talk to' about being on mounjaro.

I had my first weigh in and 2nd 2.5mg dose yesterday. I'm really pleased to have lost 8lbs.

I've been lucky so far with few side effects - a bit nauseous on day 1 but that's all. My suppression seemed to kick in on day 1 too.

Like many of us I've tried to lose weight time and time again and each time, I think "this'll be it for me, I'll do it this time" but never do. I honestly think something in my head is broken in relation to food. So I'm scared to hope that this will work.

Getting enough protein is a challenge for me but I'm 'topping up' with a protein shake or a protein yoghurt most days which helps.

I am finding the appetite suppression is wearing off sooner than I would like - is this normal?

I took my 3rd dose last Thursday and had good appetite suppression until last night.
Since then, my appetite has pretty much returned. I’m not feeling as full as I felt after taking my 3rd dose when I eat too. So I feel like I’m in a bit of a predicament as I take my next injection on Thursday, so I’ve got 2.5 days to go without appetite suppression and I feel likely to overeat.

Is this a sign that I should move onto 5mg?

CremeDeSudo · 26/08/2024 14:32

What's everyone having for breakfast?

I used to have 40g porridge with protein powder, seeds, berries etc. I've reduced to 30g, but I can barely eat half! It's too rich. Been looking through threads for ideas.

I've just said I wanted to cancel my Voy pen purely to get the £50 off and my mate is using my code next month so I'll get cheaper pens out of them. Am staying on 2.5!

Cosycover · 26/08/2024 14:35

Wow I'm appetite suppression is crazy compared to my first week and I only jabbed at 9.30am.

I managed breakfast before this happened so thankful for that.

I honestly couldn't eat a tic tac right now.

It's normal that the suppression is strongest at the beginning of the week and wears off as the 7 days goes on. Your body has eliminated 50% of the drug after 5 days.

I think of my calories as being 7-8,000 a week and not 1,000-1,200 a day. If I am eating around 7k calories over the week then the dose is ok. If i am struggling to keep the calories under 8k a week then I go up a dose. (I've never needed to think about dropping down a dose as have always eaten at least 7k over the week and not had digestive side effects).

I practice willpower / making good choices on days 5-7 in preparation for life without Mounjaro.

AnnieMcFanny · 26/08/2024 15:28

@choux that’s great advice and something I’m doing without really knowing I’m doing it.

I had no idea about the drug wearing off by day 5. I’m only 3 days in to week 2.
