Checking in from holiday, it’s my normal weigh day but no idea if I’ve lost anything this week as no scales here. Have also made the decision not to jab tonight as normal because I had a half of cider on the quayside earlier and just enjoying a single vodka tonic on the balcony overlooking the harbour now! These are the first drinks I’ve had since starting mj (just going into week 4) and I’ve factored them into my calorie allowance but don’t fancy injecting tonight on top of them. Will do it tomorrow.

As I said before we had 2 days/ nights with relatives on the way down and arrived at our holiday destination yesterday afternoon. We had a meal out last night and have been out all day today. I can’t tell you how over the moon I feel with how easy it’s been to make more sensible choices so far this hol - I’ve not eaten in a ‘diet’ way particularly and it may not be enough to give me a loss when I get home - but bloody hell if I could eat/ live like this the rest of my life I’d be so happy.

Last night was an incredible pizza place right opposite where we’re staying that had come so highly recommended DH was desperate to try it. I was happy to, had two slices, some olives and a side salad and felt completely content. I’ve watched DH and DD tuck into ice creams twice now and not been bothered. I’ve packed crisps and chocolate biscuits for our picnic today and not cared that I wasn’t having any. I’ve been to the supermarket to stock up on provisions and not felt compelled to buy piles of chocolate, sweets, pastries etc. I walked over 13K steps today and didn’t really think about food though I really enjoyed the chicken salad wrap I’d packed myself. Most of all - I don’t feel the need to immediately eat something sweet the second I finish any meal. Tonight I did quite fancy something and I pinched one of DD’s jammie dodgers - it was enough, hit the spot and I felt satisfied afterwards whilst safe in the knowledge I won’t have anything else.

It’s genuinely a revelation. At the start of week 3 I was really convinced the effects were wearing off suppression/ food noise wise. And whilst it’s true I do feel hungry more often and get the odd craving - it’s still really manageable to just bat them away. I keep thinking ‘this must be how people with a normal relationship with food feel all the time!’!!

Wekk 4, day 2, 2.5mg, Travel day. On the one hand, my appetite has been truly squashed - ordered a veg omelette for lunch and a chicken salad for dinner, and was only able to finish half of each. On the other - bought some Haribo on leaving the airport as I didn't know when I'd be eating after that, and managed to get through the packet with not much fuss (though let's see what my digestion says later). Not the worst, but could be better.

MidLifeResurgence74 · 25/08/2024 20:01

@AuntieDote your post just sings happiness! How wonderful.

Rorpethy · 25/08/2024 20:02

My first day today after taking taking my first dose before bed last night.

Well let's just say I'm not one of the lucky ones without side effects! Woke up feeling shaky and it just went downhill from there. Started feeling extremely nauseous and then the headache started which turned into a migraine. I was supposed to go to a baptist today but got to the church and had to turn around again as there was no way I was going to be able to sit through the.servuce. Got home and had to go back to bed for 4 hours.

After a nap, I felt well enough to go back downstairs but I've felt 'hungover' all day. It's funny because I was worried about diarrhea but I've actually been constipated instead. But to be fair, I've barely eaten anything so i suppose there is that.

Also, most of the day, my feet have been like ice cubes? Anyone else had this? So weird.

@Timetochange24 how did your first day go? Hope I've tagged you in the right thread!

weaseleyes · 25/08/2024 20:12

Hope you feel better soon, @Rorpethy - it does seem to be a bit of a lottery how people feel! I felt a tired and ropey initially, but did improve.

Rorpethy · 25/08/2024 20:32

Thanks @weaseleyes I already feel a lot better than earlier. Glad to hear that you improved, hopefully I'll be the same.

Oh you poor thing and you have my every sympathy! Hopefully you’ll feel better tomorrow. What’s so hard is pushing through the nausea to try to eat something nutritious. I’ve found I can stomach scrambled eggs if that helps?

Rorpethy · 25/08/2024 21:45

Thank you @MidLifeResurgence74 I'm not a huge fan of eggs (which is annoying as they're so versatile!) but I'm going to give them a go for breakfast. Thanks for the idea.

Mum0ntherun · 25/08/2024 22:38

Well, I've just had my first jab. It all arrived on Friday but I put it off. I used Pharmacy2U, and all they did was supply it, no advice, etc., so I felt a bit overwhelmed and worried. This thread has been really helpful, so thanks everyone.

I've decided not to count calories but to make healthy food choices, eat smaller portions, and be more active. I don't want the noise of calories in my head now or in the future, and I do want to make this a long-term lifestyle change. I have failed at diets repeatedly in the past because they have become the sole focus, and I couldn't sustain it and constantly felt deprived.

Please keep posting your stories; they are inspiring and your tips and suggestions. I have masses to lose 4st/25kl - so wish me luck and good luck to you all. xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/08/2024 22:55

@Rorpethy I also feel/felt nauseas for a good 3/4 days - plus headaches and soooooooo tired

And weeing every 2hrs at night which doesn't help the tiredness !!!

It does get better through out the week tho

But a an. With jab 2. Felt the same

FlappingMadly · 26/08/2024 06:37

I can’t believe this but I am losing. 2kg. First jab last Tuesday. So happy.

FlappingMadly · 26/08/2024 07:23

Ooh exciting @Mum0ntherun Good luck!

HelloHello321 · 26/08/2024 08:17

End of week 1.
First injected before bed and had a terrible nights sleep first night.
Slight headache first couple of days, probably tiredness related.
Incredibly high suppression first 2 days that it was actually difficult to eat.
Good suppression all week.
I've been eating pretty much clean all week
Start weight: 13.2
Current weight: 12.9
So 7lb lost!

I was due second jab yesterday but I've still got such good suppression, I'm thinking I might do it every 10 days. I would still get the 4 doses within the 30 days from opening. Wasn't keen on doing the bonus dose anyway.

Has anyone done this on leaving longer between doses?

Pinkjenny · 26/08/2024 08:23

Amazing losses, well done!

First jab Saturday morning, I have felt generally fine, although my tummy is rock hard and I had a terrible nights sleep last night.

The food suppression for me has been odd. I don't feel too full, I'm just not interested in overeating. There was a buffet at that christening yesterday and normally I'd have just face planted it, telling myself I'd start again tomorrow, but I just wasn't bothered about it. We had a Nandos last night, I had butterfly chicken, spicy rice and broccoli, and again, usually I'd go straight in with the unhealthiest option but I didn't, and I left half of my chicken.

It's so strange!

AuntieDote · 26/08/2024 08:38

I get paid tomorrow so going to cancel with Voy now and order my next pen. Think med express is the cheapest with code at the moment - anyone used them recently? I believe they had some delays with delivery recently.

Also - I know I could specify a delivery date/ collect with Asda but don’t have one near me. Any others that let you specify a delivery day?

Usernamechangeforthis12 · 26/08/2024 08:49

Hey all

Injection day 4 for me today and need to decide whether to order another 2.5 or go up to 5.

my suppression has been ok, not been tempted, although sometimes I’ve felt the noise creep in a little. Just the side effects have left me feeling rotten and with diarrhoea a couple of times.
pretty certain that I’ll manage healthier eating going forwards as the social summer events are all now over.

I don’t feel the clothes any looser but that probably gives an idea on how very tight they were!!

I used MedExpress recently and it was fine, I've found communication with them great too - although I know others have said they haven't, but I emailed them and had a response within 30 minutes! I will be ordering with them again this week as I want to move up to 5mg next. I can PM you my code (which would really help me out 😓)

CornishGem1975 · 26/08/2024 08:56

@Usernamechangeforthis12 · I think sometimes the side effects are due to what you are eating rather than the jab itself? I've avoided all fatty foods and alcohol and not had any side effects at all so far.

I did think this too! I've been eating clean through fear of side effects 😂 And I've been fine (only 1 week in mind you!), but the fear is keeping me on salads 😂

CornishGem1975 · 26/08/2024 09:04

Haha same @HelloHello321 but to be fair, I've not really wanted it either but I am focusing on clean eating which I think helps. If anything, I'm the other way 💩and might need a laxative today 😮

Pinkjenny · 26/08/2024 09:20

I could do with the loo as well Blush

Rorpethy · 26/08/2024 09:24

I think I need to join the queue for the loo too. How long should leave it without taking taking something to help?

Thank you - I’m just going to do a bit more reading around as I really like the idea of somewhere with a bit more support and have come across oushk which I like the look of. If you’re happy to pm it to me but I may not use it or it may be next month - no worries if not! Sorry would love to just say yes because I know how keen I was for someone to use my Voy one 😂 But I just want to find the right fit!

I’ve not told anyone I’m doing this so have been attempting to act and eat normally, just smaller amounts. But we’ve had a couple of really busy weeks with lots of visitors so haven’t been eating clean. I’ve also eaten a lot of carbs. This should be much easier to change once everyone is back to school and work and I have majority control of the kitchen!! Really need to search for clean veggie light meals as this will be a total change in what I’m used to eating.

Im relying on using the bonus dose but really need to make a decision on whether to move up or not soon.
