The scales finally start with a 15!

I'm 15st 13lb now.

I've lost 3lb this week.

I was 20st 2lb in January, so I've lost 4st 3lb.

That's amazing! Well done

Some exciting losses taking place! Well done everyone!
It gives me impetus - injection 2 on Tuesday. I haven’t lost any weight yet but I have the feeling clothes are looser. No suppression - if anything I’m hungry at breakfast time whereas before I wasn’t being used to IF.

CremeDeSudo · 23/08/2024 12:43

I'm moaning about being nauseous but tbf I've lost 3.5kg in 16 days so I'm actually pretty pleased. I don't have that much to lose really so was never expecting massive losses.

Going to get some travel sickness meds later though!

FlappingMadly · 23/08/2024 13:27

That’s epic @TheShellBeach !

creepywoman · 23/08/2024 13:51

A great side effect of all this is how much less I’m spending on food now I’m in the swing of things. Initially I was wasting food because I couldn’t finish it all, but now I’m more cautious and have reduced my food shop. Also I’m not ordering take aways or eating out as much.

Agree. I'm also no longer buying Benecol drinks to lower my cholesterol and am wearing 'new' clothes that I already had but couldn't wear as they had got too small for me.

I think the high cost of pens is largely offset by savings on food and clothes.

aww good for you! I can’t wait to lose more and fit back into my clothes nicely!

Your last sentence is so accurate for me. I have completely offset money I was wasting on food to mounjaro! It’s embarrassing looking back on how much deliveroos I would order.

lookathatbookcase · 23/08/2024 14:42

Oh my god, the Deliveroos - as a treat, because I was feeling sad, because I 'deserved' it...

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/08/2024 14:42

Thankfully seem
No nausea this time but again sooooooooooooo tired

Roll on bedtime

poppym12 · 23/08/2024 15:13

I'm just over 10lb down since my first weigh in on 12th August.

I've felt really hungry the last couple of days but I've stuck to healthy eating, counting every calorie, so I'm quite proud of myself.

I am having a few slices of pizza tonight though.

Makelikeatreeandleaf · 23/08/2024 15:22

@cosylife - thanks for your reply. I decided to wait till tomorrow. I did a sneaky early weigh in this morning and so far so good, so am going to try and find some will power to make better choices and ignore the noise. Hope you are also staying strong!

Princessandthepie · 23/08/2024 15:40

Just done my 4th jab, I hoping as it's earlier in the day, I won't feel so rotten with it, but I have a cold so feeling pretty crap today anyway.

I've got a nice healthy dinner planned so hopefully no bloating or nausea.

So since 3rd August, my first jab, I've lost 10lbs in 20 days, actually 16 as I've been the same weight since Monday. Very happy with this, yes I would have liked to lose a couple more this past week but overall, I'm happy.

Definitely need to work on upping my protein intake and moving more so that's my focus (again) this upcoming week.

HamAlive · 23/08/2024 16:12

@TheShellBeach that's absolutely incredible, well done!

Weighed in today, only 1lb off which is a little disappointing given that I barely ate for 3 days and stuck to 1400 cals the other days. I lose more than that when I'm dieting normally! But, clothes feel better, some new ones I'd already managed to "outgrow" now fit again and I'm below 16st so there are NSVs in there!

Jab 4 just done, we're off on holiday tomorrow for a week so will do my 5th jab a day late as I didn't want the faff of taking it on a plane.

happygertie · 23/08/2024 20:53

I'm day 2 after my first jab yesterday afternoon. Didn't feel much difference yesterday except after my evening meal I got super bloated, stomach was rock hard and I was so uncomfortable. I have still found myself feeling a bit hungry today and I'm craving something sweet.

Please tell me the suppression will come in the next few days?

Belle96 · 23/08/2024 21:03

So I'm due my third jab on Tuesday.
I've just been gifted a couple of days away meaning I go Monday and get home Wednesday.
I'm only on 2.5 mj can I take it Monday before I go or does it have to be the Tuesday?
Would rather not travel with a sharpes bin etc

As long as there are at least 4 days between doses then you're fine 🙂

UniqueLemonOrca · 23/08/2024 22:06

Third jab today and second weigh-in, 5.5lbs off which I'm delighted about.

Week two has been interesting - good suppression, few side effects (one rough day when didn't drink enough) eating three good small meals a day, no snacks no food noise and able to maintain my exercise.

Old cravings emerged last night, took my jab this morning but it doesn't seem to have kicked in the same. Before it was very quick but I've got food noise tonight and am wondering if I'm ready to up my dose already? Thinking of increasing dose 4 to 3.75 using the extra in my pen. I got plenty of needles with my order.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

ChunkyMunky · 23/08/2024 22:22

Well done everyone on their losses and NSVs.

I had jab 2 yesterday, and the suppression doesn’t feel quite as strong as the first week, but is still limiting how much I eat. Snacking and grazing has totally stopped; which is great.

DP & children fancied takeaway tonight. I’d have happily skipped it while they ate, but if I’d not joined in, then they wouldn’t have got one and would have been disappointed. I ordered less than usual, dished up only a small bit of what I’d ordered, and still ended up binning most of it. It wasn’t enjoyable and I felt unpleasantly full, verging on nauseous, pretty much straight away. I’ll have to work on some excuses not to join in next time (I’ve not told them about the MJ).

Hopefully that bit of rubbish won’t sabotage my efforts too much.

BigBagOfElbows · 23/08/2024 23:17

Hi Augusters
I've decided to stop lurking and join you all.
Jab 2 and 1st weigh today.
SW 20st 10lb
CW 20 01lb
9lb off, very happy with that. I know it's mainly water weight but a nice kick start as I have a very long way to go.
Side effects have been minimal so far. Bit headachey for 2 days after my 1st jab but that's it really.
Zero food noise. I was obsessed with food and constantly hungry. I feel like a different person.
I'm also type 2 diabetic and my goal is not a weight based one. I'd just like to be in remission and be able to stop taking so many meds. Blood pressure etc.

creepywoman · 24/08/2024 00:12

@BigBagOfElbows welcome and thanks for sharing! That’s great progress!! I completely relate about the food obsession, I guess I never knew how bad my habits became until MJ

creepywoman · 24/08/2024 00:14

Does anyone have a date goal in mind of when they’d like to realistically reach their goal weight?

I have 18kg to go and it’s 18 weeks until 2025…I know that’s a cliche goal (and potentially unrealistic over Christmas) but 1kg per week seems doable especially if I started going to the gym again. I’ve paid for 2 months of zero attendance so have some making up to do!

I'm also using the Noom app to track my progress, diet, water intake etc x

FlappingMadly · 24/08/2024 01:31

I’m travelling a fair bit for work and just been given a job that means picking up
5mg will be delayed by a couple of weeks. Would you eke out 2.5, maybe reducing to 2mg or stick to 2.5 and leave a couple of days between each Injections? Or just rely on will power for 2 weeks? I’m not sure what to do! Argh!

DinnaeFashYersel · 24/08/2024 06:55

I'm officially going up to 5mg today.

Waiting for the postie to arrive with my new pen.

As usual (for me) the effects have completely worn off by day 6 and I got up at 6am for breakfast cause I was hungry.

Really hoping 5 mg is more effective for me. 4 weeks on 2.5 and I have only lost 5 lbs.
