@Whoyoutakingto why would you doubt yourself? You’ve had a fabulous first week.

I am on week 2 day 1. I have had no side effects and lost 10.5 lbs really happy.
I am confused about people talking about clicks?
Can someone explain please, I just turn the pen to 1? I am doubting myself now😞

Turning the pen to 1 is sixty clicks, or a full dose (the little click the pen does)

If you want a different dose you can effectively work it out by counting clicks, you can count 30 clicks and it's half a dose

Thanks that makes sense.

I can't keep up with this thread anymore! Welcome new joiners, well done everyone on their losses and those that haven't, it's normal to have a low loss week, you'll def make it up, don't worry.

I did my 3rd 2.5 yesterday, lost just over 7lb so far. Nothing sulphuric here!

I went to my PT session today though and I definitely found it harder tha usual. Bit concerned about that tbh as I definitely want to continue with the gym but am now worried about flaking out or something!

Arraminta · 22/08/2024 20:30

Well, had 2nd jab this morning. No breakfast (but I never eat brekkie anyway). Had a cheese omelette with side salad for lunch and haven't eaten since. Even though we called in at 'Spoons for a quick tea, I just ordered coffee and watched DH scoff a curry. Just don't feel bothered about food.

Hollietree · 22/08/2024 20:33

Does anyone else sometimes feel like Mounjaro is a dream and it can’t possibly be real?! I’ve spent the last 2/3 years trying to lose weight - with very very slow results and battles with constant hunger and cravings. And now suddenly the weight is falling off me and I don’t feel hunger at all ……… I keep expecting to wake and discover that it was all just a dream!

mm81736 · 22/08/2024 20:34

Day 14 amd 9 lbs off
I don't really feel I have done anything differently, so I think.i must have been u unconsciously eating.i am injecting 2.5 every 6 days so will get 5 doses out of it in 30 days

artyarty · 22/08/2024 20:41

Newbie here 🙋🏻‍♀️ day one, week one done! Had a few side effects of feeling a bit nauseous today but I'm hoping that will feel a bit better tomorrow. Still can't quite believe I've actually started it after thinking about it for so long. Hoping I've made the right choice for my health but the positive comments on here are big reassurance!

Bucdynovehbkfdg · 22/08/2024 20:43

I’ve managed to lose 6kg / 11lbs in 3 weeks, I took my 4th 2.5mg shot today.

im hoping to get past this, I’ve been losing and regaining the same 6kg for 7 years, I can never push past it. Hopefully mounjaro will help 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Potterson13 · 22/08/2024 20:48

My hair is falling out 😣

I started taking biotin every day from day 1 in order to prevent this. I don't think it's a side effect of the jab as such, I believe from reading around it's losing weight too quickly/losing muscle mass over fat. I'm so careful and I've been consciously trying to get my calories in to avoid these negative effects. I try to make sure I'm hitting my protein but this week (my third week) appetite suppression has been next level. Like I can't stomach food at all (no nausea or tummy issues just a bloated full feeling). Previously I've been hitting my 1400, not easily but I've done it. This week I am struggling. Going to have to make more effort I think.

I know it's a small side effect to some, I'm by no means taking away from the worse effects others have had. I'm well aware I've been one of the lucky ones in this regard but just a bit put out by it at the minute!

Jacqui51 · 22/08/2024 21:27

Just had 3rd jab tonight, now questions

I'm on 5mg and why does it state 0.6ml per dose? shouldn't it be 1.25ml per dose or is the 5mg just the amount of drug administered not 5.0ml? lol sorry daft I know (injection states 4 doses of 0.6ml)
I did 30 clicks and why is it that the amount it took was nearly 3/4 of that dose (trying to avoid the sulphur burps again!! cant handle another weekend of them) Am I best just taking 0.6ml out with a syringe and doing it that way well 0.3ml if I'm doing it twice a week?

Sorry to be pain just I want a nice busy housework weekend this weekend!! haha

Edited

There's 5mg of the medicine in the 0.6ml.

5ml would be a huge amount of medicine to administer

Thanks are all the mg's like this, they all 0.6ml per 5/7.5/10/ etc

So basically if i want to do twice a week just use 0.3ml in syringe

thanks for info :) Thick at times lol

poppym12 · 22/08/2024 21:46

I'm sorry to hear that @Potterson13. Is this your 3rd week at 2.5? I'm terrified of this - the main reason i dithered about starting for months. I can't afford to lose any more hair after menopause wrecked it.

I didn't think it would show up so quickly though. It usually takes around 3 months after the period of stress/illness/rapid weight loss to affect the hair. I hope it's just a one off after washing it for you Flowers

Hi @artyarty I started today too! Have you felt hunger suppression yet? I feel totally normal and was really hunger before dinner. I could have an evening snack too, but I'm stopping myself.

Thank you.

Yes I had my third jab on Sunday. I was feeling really good about it and my lack of side effects but as you say, it's probably a bit too early to blame it on the weight loss. I've done a bit more research since posting and I think you're right. Hopefully it was just a one off. I'm definitely going to be making a conscious effort to eat a bit more from now on. I've also been away from the gym because I've completely done my back in so I'm sure that didn't help!

AnnieMcFanny · 22/08/2024 22:07

@Potterson13 hi there, if you had a low ferritin level going into this it could be that the last few weeks have been to much for your system and it’s caused your ferritin level to drop. That would cause hair loss. It’s always a first sign for me that my ferritin is low. You can buy a home testing kit in boots to check it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/08/2024 22:14

So many of you say you just don't feel hungry or want food

I have eaten /drank 3 meals a day

Eaten less each time but def hungry and eat

I don't get how some of you and wish it was me lol - just don't want to eat /can't face food

AnnieMcFanny · 22/08/2024 22:22

@Blondeshavemorefun i know what you mean. I’m still eating 3 meals a day but they’re smaller and I’m at peace between meals. I’m not experiencing the food noises I’d normally be hearing and for the first time in a long time I feel like someone with a normal appetite.

@AnnieMcFanny thats foot to know. Thanks

I read some many saying they don't fancy food ........

I thought the aim was to still eat food every day - meals as normal
But onv eat less /healthier

Makelikeatreeandleaf · 22/08/2024 23:11

Hi all, delurking to see if anyone has wise words. I had my first injection on Saturday - almost immediately felt 'unhungry' and a bit spacey - almost very slightly stoned. Total lack of hunger and stoned feelings continued till yesterday when I was hungry. Then today, FML, I had no idea how loud the food noise was until I'd had a few days without it. I've eaten like a pig today, just total crap. Should I do my 2nd jab tomorrow or wait till Saturday and wire my jaw shut for 36 hours??

MrsHerbs79 · 22/08/2024 23:16

Hi guys not posted all week cos just been super busy with work.

Welcome everyone new and well done losses!!

This weeks been a bit of a disaster…….this was week three on 2.5mg……..lost absolutely nothing but not gained either so could be worse…….lost 8lbs over first two weeks.

Have had zero suppression and had wine almost every night but this is my period week and it’s been especially heavy and painful.

I changed from emed to oushk and my 5mg pen arrived today. Due to take 4th 2.5mg tomorrow but will prob take that and bonus dose tomorrow then 5mg next week.

Hope it all starts kicking back in cos I felt I was doing really well 😘

FlappingMadly · 23/08/2024 00:24

I’m finally home and stupidly weighed myself just now. Day 3 and not lost a gram. Gutted.

cosylife · 23/08/2024 03:58

@Makelikeatreeandleaf I’m the same - injection day is Saturday evening and the
food noise started creeping in yesterday. I just had to work so hard with willpower to stop eating the naughty bits myself but dreading today. Off out on a family day trip and having a nice lunch out and I can just tell I’m going to have to be super strong with food choices 😩

I was thinking about changing my injection time to Saturday morning but I’m going to try and soldier on and see how I go this week and maybe change it up next week. Have you decided what to do yet?

@FlappingMadly i wouldn’t be too disheartened yet - you’re only halfway through
the week and remember that everyone’s bodies react differently to the medication. 2.5 is the loading dose and I’ve seen people on TikTok say that they didn’t see losses until 5mg.

MelainesLaugh · 23/08/2024 04:36

Not sure if anyone knows the answer to this

I stupidly bought two 2.5mg pens (from different places). I’m only on week one so I don’t know how it’s going to pan out. But if I feel that I do need to shift up to 5mg after the first pen could I give myself a double dose of 2.5mg for two weeks then start on a 5mg pen? I know it’s an expensive way of doing it but my stupid mistake
