@achangeofnameisasgoodasarest YES!!! All of my tops are longer because they don't have to spread as wide! This has made some knee length though 😂

TheShellBeach · 23/09/2024 12:16

I've done it!

I'm into the 14st bracket!

14st 13lb this morning.

🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

BTW everyone, I've just discovered you can get cyclizine tablets online at Ebay now. They're for nausea and vomiting and online pharmacies charge about £28 for 100. They're much cheaper on Ebay.

Ladies - clothes help please!!!

I've bought from Yours and Evans for years, I don't know where else to start, and I don't even know what size I am now! My tops are all comically massive on me, but I've no idea where to buy from. I live in the middle of nowhere so I can't pop anywhere to try things on. All I want is some loose black tops for winter, maybe a couple of new things for my holiday in 4 weeks. I always get my undies from M & S, but the app is so overwhelming and when I did pop into one with DD on Saturday again I'd no idea where to start! I keep defaulting back to looking at the Yours app....... 😬

I'm the same in that I've no idea what size I am currently so I shopped at SHEIN last week.
You add your measurements and it will tell you what size will fit you. They don't use standard dress sizes.
I know not everyone likes shopping there, but as I hope to not be wearing these clothes for too long I didn't want to spend too much.
I'm happy to say that following their measurement guidance every single item fits perfectly.

Popping back on still waiting for surgery for the cyst (12cm now) plus they’ve seen a lesion on adrenal gland so MRI tomorrow after 3 CT scans and then fingers crossed surgery mid Oct. After a month off I had a small gain so started the jabs again - now 38 pound down in 12 weeks of treatment , from 18.12.5 to 16.2.5 today

Hello! Sounds like a worrying time, I hope scans and op go ok.

JomonotFomo · 23/09/2024 17:33

I've got jeans on.
Actual jeans.
Not jeggings or leggings.

Jeans with a zip and a button.

It's been years since I put any on because the waistband has always been so uncomfortable.

Yay me!

Pashazade · 24/09/2024 12:33

I'm joining you today ladies, feeling ridiculously nervous about it! But having faith having been reading the threads for a few weeks.
Just having flashbacks to post birth injections, but at least this one won't be daily and appears to be a smaller needle!
Oh and Roman is nice for clothing for larger ladies, usually well cut so stuff doesn't look baggy.

WheresSummer99 · 24/09/2024 15:56

Whoop @TheShellBeach hope you enjoy sashaying around in your new jeans such a nice feeling

TheShellBeach · 24/09/2024 15:58

Hello @Pashazade have you had your first jab yet?

Don't be nervous. MJ really works.

TheShellBeach · 24/09/2024 16:00

The cold hands are getting me today.
I've got a top and a thick cardigan on, too, and I'm freezing.

WheresSummer99 · 24/09/2024 16:39

I think it’s just colder today well it is where I am as I was working at my desk thinking geez it’s chilly then went to collect my DD from the train station and she was moaning that college was cold all day today & wished she’d taken her coat. Northly wind has blown in.

Pashazade · 24/09/2024 16:40

Thanks @TheShellBeach, not yet, waiting for the other half to get home just in case, I mean I'm not expecting any dramatic side effects but it feels like a sensible precaution!

BemusedBrenda · 24/09/2024 16:53

So much amazing progress on this thread, nothing like a pair of baggy trousers to make you feel good 😂

I started MJ at the very end of June and haven't been on the threads much, I've lost 33lbs so far. This week I've noticed (and my DH commented) that I've disproportionately lost from my bum, compared to other body parts. Now to be fair, I did have a considerable amount of bum to start with, but when I was slim in the past I always still had a big bum. Now it looks really small (for me) whereas I have plenty still to lose from my hips, thighs, belly etc.

Anyone else noticed weird out of sync shape changes? Should I be worried?

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 24/09/2024 17:05

@BemusedBrenda I have read posts from several people saying their bums have vanished so I doubt it's anything to worry about.

TheShellBeach · 24/09/2024 17:13

All I can say is, it's a good job my bum has disappeared.
😂

TheShellBeach · 24/09/2024 17:16

I just wish my tummy would also disappear.

I have to keep reminding myself that I've still got about 6st to lose.

BemusedBrenda · 24/09/2024 17:38

Thanks all. I can't say I'm too sad to see the bum shrinkage 😂 as long as everything else catches up at some point!

Snozzlemaid · 24/09/2024 18:02

My bum was definitely the first bit to shrink for me too.
Now it's my boobs that are disappearing and I've never been big there!
My thighs are noticeably smaller too.
But my belly is still huge and that's what I really can't wait to notice shrinking. There's so much of it I can't imagine what it's going to be like smaller. I've always thought it was big though, even when I was aged 20, and 9.5 stone. How ridiculous I was, I had no idea just how slim I was.

TheShellBeach · 24/09/2024 18:28

I agree about the abdominal fat not shifting very quickly.

But I must say that it feels less than it was - does that make sense?

And YY even when I was young and slim, I always thought I had a fat tummy.

Snozzlemaid · 24/09/2024 19:37

Yes my belly feels more squidgy I'm sure, if you know what I mean.
It should be much less full of fat cells for sure after a 3 stone loss.
