Thanks @Callmejudith just popping in so I don’t lose the bee thread.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 28/07/2024 09:33

Woohoo!! Love the title (and do need to buy new underwear😂)!

Callmejudith · 28/07/2024 09:34

We’re coming to the end of our break, definitely looking forward to being home. I’ve actually not eaten very much at all as there’s a lot of white carbs and I’ve just nibbled here and there. I’d usually be having 4 rounds of tea and toast a day and I haven’t fancied it at all.

also electrolytes do not travel well at all in a medicine box! They’ve swelled up and overtaken the other pills.

Im off to buy new pants today!

Thanks I laughed out loud at the title as I too spent most of yesterday hooking my pants back up and had a giggle to myself that I need to buy some new ones. I’m 0.5lb off what I weighed four years ago before the worst of menopause hell hit me hard. I’ve had 8yrs on hrt but the last couple of years plus life stress caused my weight gain. I can’t wait to get back to what I was ten years ago when my hormones first started going haywire! Plus I actually half enjoyed doing some strength training yesterday and despite enjoying exercise I don’t like weights, but I’m determined to come out stronger from this physically and mentally.

Beeble21 · 28/07/2024 10:43

Baggy Bra brigade here too now 😂
Boobs are usually last place for me to lose weight but I’ll take it!

JomonotFomo · 28/07/2024 11:07

Hi everyone!! Just hopping on

Checking in.
Just arrived on holiday. Have looked out my collection of smaller knickers for when we return.

Callmejudith · 28/07/2024 12:44

T@TheShellBeach have a fab holiday!

OP posts:
Snozzlemaid · 28/07/2024 13:08

No new knickers needed here just yet, they must have been seriously stretched before!
However did walk around Tesco yesterday with my jeans constantly slipping down. Don't think I can wear them again without a belt.

Bitezbabe · 28/07/2024 14:09

Looking forward to the time my pants start to fall down. 😂😂

littlefireseverywhere · 28/07/2024 14:11

I’ll join you only in my first week but really hoping for baggy pants and bras!!

daliesque · 28/07/2024 14:54

My pants are staying on, but my bras are feeling a bit loose and I've had to out Huggies on my rings to keep them on. I've also got a few dresses that are suddenly feeling loose too and a pair of chinos in a size smaller than I was.

mcdle · 28/07/2024 14:57

Made it just into the 10's today, haven't been here for years, so chuffed, people really starting to notice now, and my pants are getting quite baggy 😂

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 28/07/2024 15:37

Massive congrats to @mcdle for getting into the 10a and @WheresSummer99 for being 0.5 of a lb away from your pre-menopausal weight. Amazing for both of you!

Just reading a thread about the fact that these meds should be available on the NHS and the usual 'learn to eat properly' crew have turned up. Apparently fly, this is the 'easy' route to weight loss and all we have to do is educate ourselves about how to eat😩

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 28/07/2024 15:37

@littlefireseverywhere Welcome! It won't be long, I promise 😁

Heya glad I’ve found you all just been reading the active thread and feeling down. I’m one week in and had been feeling amazing but that’s put a dampener on things!

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 28/07/2024 16:57

@pinkstinks is that the one I mentioned above about why the medications aren't available on the NHS?? I had to stop reading as there were too many idiots! There was a lot of sense there too though I have to admit 😂

Snozzlemaid · 28/07/2024 17:06

That thread's making my blood boil too!
The usual rubbish: we should eat less, diabetics can't get their insulin, Ozempic face, we'll all pile the weight on when we stop and we'll all get cancer as no one knows the long term affect of this new drug.

Don't know why I read these threads, it's always the same.

pinkstinks · 28/07/2024 17:18

Yes that’s the one - I know the risks I really do but I also am so desperate to change and have felt so unsupported. I am only a week in but it feels life changing. I can’t remember the last time my life wasn’t dominated by this impulse and compulsion around food. I am seeing glimpses of the life I could have and it’s amazing but yes it is scary too but I am desperate! Just need to not read it I think and at least it pointed me here as I have been so alone 🥰

fairydust11 · 28/07/2024 17:24

Thanks for the new thread, I haven’t posted for a few weeks as after feeling completely exhausted on 2.5, I discovered I had covid which may have contributed to the fatigue, anyway I’ve missed a week & have decided to reduce my dose down instead of up to 1.25 for now in order to combat the side effects, 🤞 this works & I can try & increase again.

@mcdle well done, I’d love to get back in the 10s! 👏

Snozzlemaid · 28/07/2024 17:55

@pinkstinks Glad you found us. Stick with us and you'll get nothing but support.
Good luck with your MJ journey.

FilthyforFirth · 28/07/2024 18:09

Can I join please? I'm on my 2nd month of mounjuro. I lost 17lbs in my first 4 weeks but I'm due my 2nd jab of month 2 tomorrow and I've only lost 1lb.

I have six stone to lose, so a long way to go...

It is SO nice to not think about food constantly.

I stayed on the same dose, should I have gone up?

WeAllHaveWings · 28/07/2024 18:23

Welcome @FilthyforFirth

I did my 6th injection yesterday and last week loss was "only" 1lb. My calorie intake has been fine I am taking as just a week my body is rethinking the constant calorie deficit and trying to work out what on earth is going on.

If you are still of the age to have periods, you might find the losses reduce/increase before/after your cycle too. I am too old for that now, but did notice it in previous diets (noted them in my excel spreadsheets and charts 🙈).

I am personally staying on the lowest dose I can that provides enough suppression to stop me thinking about food and let me comfortably keep my calorie intake in deficit. It is the calorie deficit that is reducing your weight not the MJ dose. If the suppression isn't strong enough and you are eating more calories than you should, then the next dose up might help.
