thanks @Darlinghag Let's keep up the pace!
@gimmemounjaro I know what you mean. It's all very exciting at first isn't it. But like all people who need to lose signifigant amount of weight, there is no magic cure and this takes time.
I'm happy to be in a calmer place with MJ now.
The main difference I continue to notice is I'm not exhasusted by this process - so I'm not reaching "diet fatigue" which I would usually get about now. Its not taking massive amounts of effort to keep going - I've kind of settled into cruise control.
I had a few drinks last week - but I stop after 2 as that is enough. I had a day on a boat trip & I took a packed lunch which I really enjoyed. Last night I went out for sushi meal with my kids for my birthday, and probably ate a little more than usual, but I went mostlyfor the shashimi and not too many rolls. I didn't finish my large beer - a half is better for me these days.
I have a few challenges coming up with a trip to Barcelona later this month and then family coming to stay from abroad - so there will be many meals out. I'm feeling equipped though.
Those of us on this thread have a long way to go - settling into a comfy pace while retaining focus and drive is essential.
While I have increased my exercise my steps are fairly low - the curse of WFT. But between sea swimming and gym classes, working FT, volunteering & parenting I don't have much extra time in most of my days to walk 10k steps. But I am feelng a pull to do this.
Years ago I did the C25K running programme and I'm starting to feel like this might be on the horizon for me again as I get a bit lighter from MJ and stronger from the gym classes.
