@Pinkyp22 hello! May I just in passing reframe your achievement? You have lost 35lb in (broadly) 19 weeks. Now that sounds hellishly impressive to me! You are losing more quickly after you reviewed your calorie intake, you’re more than halfway to your current goal and all this while working your bits off and studying at the same time. You are a WARRIOR. There is no frustration to be had. Relax into your success and just keep doing what you’re doing!
As for going up…well, I’m going to bore you with the same old questions. Are you experiencing hunger? Is food noise deafening you? If not, you so know what I’m going to say. More Mj won’t lead to more weight loss. If you’re not hungry and you’re not having conversations with the food in your kitchen (“go on, eat me, you know you want to” etc etc) then there’s only one thing you need to do…review your food intake. It’s no coincidence we’re all stalling at the moment; it’s got cold and dark and we’ll all be eating more and moving less. For us PCOS women, an extra 100 calories a day will cause a stall. I haven’t lost for a fortnight (although I think for me that I’m also subconsciously really struggling with the concept of crossing the 11 stone barrier) and it makes me growl, so five weeks must have driven you to the brink! But the long term picture (as opposed to the short term fury) is that you’re doing incredibly well, so there.
Having said all that, if the effects of Mj are wearing off, as opposed to the only change being your frustration level, go ahead and go up, and remembering last time, I think you’d be wise to split the jabs. But Pinky, dear Pinky, cast your mind back to how wretched you felt last time you went up. If you feel that you could just review your food…fish or chicken instead of red meat, fewer carbs (personally I find that bread has somehow snuck back in a day or two a week) snacking on fruit or prawns or whatever non carb things float your boat…I’d be trying that first.
You know how this works and how it doesn’t work; if you need to up the meds that’s absolutely fine, but just be sure you don’t have any other options! Keep us posted, sometimes just venting is enough to keep us on track when stalled and you know we’re here to catch you before you fall!
