There are so many weight loss injection threads, but I thought I'd start this for anyone feeling a bit deflated by their slower than average loses. It can be disheartening to see others losing multiple lbs per week when it is a slower process for some.

@Azuresky68 I think I was one of those lucky ones that responded really well to 2.5mg but it's definitely slowed down on 5mg. Even though still at the same calorie deficit etc. Good luck!

Azuresky68 · 05/11/2024 09:29

@SnacklessWonder, thanks for your kind reply. What a difference a couple of days make - I weighed this morning, and I am finally under 10 stone..by half a pound. That's just over a stone in 12 weeks. Last year I got down to the same weight (but only needed to lose 8 pounds) I only managed to maintain for 6 months then the weight slowly crept up to 11 stone in the first 6 months of this year. I am hopeful that maintenance will be successful with MJ, and at 68 years old, I might be on it forever after struggling all my life with weight issues. My highest weight was around 14 stone (only 5 foot, now lost another inch, so 4 foot 11). The battle over the last 6 years has been staying under 11 stone. Can't imagine how many times I have lost the same 25 pounds!!

QueryA · 05/11/2024 10:49

I'm still pluggin away. I started at 89.9kg (14st 2lbs) in mid August. I'm now 84.3kg (13st 4lbs). 12 lbs in 12 weeks. Which I'm very pleased with. Its slow, but at least its going down. I want to get to 70 kg (11st). Ideally lower but that's my first goal. 18 weeks maybe at current rate? Which is March next year.

Its still slow, and I completely avoid other threads with 'I've lost 3 stone in 3 months!' as it really demotivates me. Fingers crossed I can lose a bit more by Christmas!

Keep going everyone 😀

Azuresky68 · 05/11/2024 12:33

@QueryA well done! We can do it! Good luck to everyone 💓

I had my weight management coaching today which is always a bit grating but I persist. He recommended protein powder, has anyone found one which is not full of artificial sweeteners and additives?

@Azuresky68 Azure! You’ve made my day! You got up the courage to get weighed after your holiday, and see what your body did while you weren’t looking! Thrilled for you x

Awww thanks so much! I feel so much better now I have finally lost a stone, with one more to go. Not aiming for the recommended BMI...it's between 6 stone 12 and 8 st 12..I would look like a child with loads of wrinkles 😂😱

Pinkyp22 · 08/11/2024 12:33

Hi everyone
@Ifyounevergiveup I hope your doing well, still on 10mg?
Finally got to weigh myself after 2 weeks and its less than 1lb difference 😅🙄 ffs I have to laugh or I'd cry
I have pretty much stayed the same for 5 weeks now 🫣 last time I weighed myself i was wobbling between 91-92kg its dead on 91kg now
BUT very helpfully they have only gone and gone got a new set of scales at work 😱 so I'm saying its the change in scales not me 😬🙉
Bloody hell it doesn't get any less frustrating does it!
On a positive I ordered a new pen with medexpress Wednesday morning ( unbelievably someone had used my code so I got a discount) and it arrived Thursday morning!

Ifyounevergiveup · 08/11/2024 13:35

@Pinkyp22 hello my love! Yes, still doing good at this end, still stubbornly at 11 stone 2lb but I’m going through one of those stages where it’s inches, not pounds. My clothes are definitely looser but I haven’t lost anything for a fortnight. The weirdest thing for me about Mj is the numbing of my emotions around weight loss…by now I would normally have binged through sheer fuck it all-ness, but I can put my hand on my heart and swear truly that I’m not at all bothered, I assume because I finally firmly believe that Mj will eventually get me to be where I want to be. I’ve just taken my fifth 10mg dose yesterday (they seem to have made the pens too robust to hard twist now, so I got it out with a syringe) and for the first time I’m not going up, my next pen is also 10mg. I figured that if I need more through the month I can always count 75 clicks, equalling a dose from a 12.5mg pen, but for now 10mg is working great after the 24 hour poo fest passes! Don’t cry over staying the same, I honestly do believe it’s your body catching up with itself and others have said that can take weeks, so hang on in there, keep as busy as you always are and have faith in what you have achieved and what you’ll achieve in the future. Because you know how to ride this journey now and you’ll not go off piste, I know that! ❤️

Pinkyp22 · 08/11/2024 21:38

Thank you for the words of encouragement as always @Ifyounevergiveup
👀 Poo fest sounds fun 🙄
Yes I have been reading up on the whole body re composition and I am convinced this is happening, all my clothing is too big, it seems to go in stages too. Im noticing my legs have shrunk dramatically at the moment, taking a while for the middle to get the memo though!
I'm not sure if I have done the right thing but I have taken 7.5mg today. I took 7mg (56 clicks) early this morning, then when I got home i had the remaining 4 to make it up to 60! Feel ok, but I am battling extream fatigue every week which is getting hard to deal with. The weekends are a right off for me I'm just so so exhausted, possibly not all mounjaro I have a lot going on but the day after jab I'm no good to anyone.

Sadteacher · 09/11/2024 07:17

Hi everyone. The clothes thing is funny. I’ve been buying some lovely size 12 things from vinted in anticipation, but still a bit tight. My normal work clothes are all a bit baggy, so I don’t feel any slimmer as I look a mess with a belt bunching up material! Better than bursting out of my trousers though.
I’m so excited, I have had three doses of 7.5 now and seem to be losing 1.5lb a week. This would not be exciting news on any other thread, but it is doubling my rate of weight loss from the 5 pen!

CormorantStrikesBack · 10/11/2024 07:43

79.5 kg today, not been in the 70s for ages. Have lost 12kg in total but this has been since April so very much a slow user! 26lbs! Nearly 2 stone. And I doubt I’d have done it without the injections 🤷‍♀️. Dropped a dress size, hopefully maybe another dress size soon. Am on 15mg. No side effects.

DropOfffArtiste · 10/11/2024 08:04

I'm officially out of the obese BMI category, now only overweight. 16kgs lost in total, 5 since starting wegovy in Sept. 14kg more for target weight.

Ifyounevergiveup · 10/11/2024 11:28

@Pinkyp22 how have you done after three days on 7.5? I’ve been thinking of you! A pound off this morning takes me to 11 stone 1, it’s only taken a fortnight to shift 🙄

I'm envious of you, @Sadteacher , a pound and a half a week must feel dizzying!

@CormorantStrikesBack @DropOfffArtiste congratulations on a huge milestone each! I hope you both did a happy dance! 💃🏼

Well done, that’s amazing. I have a few more kg to go I think before being overweight only.

I noticed on my nhsapp the other day that medexpress are obviously emailing my gp surgery my new monthly weight every month and the gp surgery is putting it on my app. And they added a comment that my healthy weight would be 46-64kg which made me laugh. The chances of me ever been 46kg are zero! Can’t even imagine 64kg. I’d be happy with 75kg! And ecstatic with 70kg.

letshavetea · 11/11/2024 07:42

its good to read all your progress stories. I took my seventh dose of 2.5mg last night. (One of them was a bonus dose from my first pen). I’ve lost 5 and 3/4 pounds in six weeks. I’m just hoping it accelerates a bit when I go onto 5mg. I’ve deliberately stayed on 2.5mg as we go on holiday today for two weeks and I didn’t want to feel side effects to much on holiday. I’m okay at controlling food, but do like wine. I hope I don’t put too much on whilst away.

Ifyounevergiveup · 11/11/2024 07:45

@letshavetea we’ll be thinking of you! There are plenty on this thread who have been on holiday and come back amazed and delighted that they haven’t gained like they usually do. Remember to have a lovely time, remember the lessons you’ve learned so far, and update us when you get back!

letshavetea · 11/11/2024 07:50

@Ifyounevergiveup thanks so much for your lovely message. I think I’m just a bit worried as I haven’t lost that much (hence being on this thread!) and am a bit nervous of weight gain whilst away. Still glad I’m going though! I have seen everyone’s great stories, so fingers crossed.

BackToWegovy · 11/11/2024 07:58

Injection and weigh in day today. I have lost 2.5 kg or 5.5 lb in three weeks since I restarted. No change from last Monday but I think that was a freak low result as it bounced up the next morning. I am quite pleased with that especially on 0.25mg Wegovy. Finally noticed some suppression last night when I didn’t finish my roast. Just need to have some patience before going up to the next pen next week and stick to my no sugar, no snacks no seconds regime.

Delphigirl · 11/11/2024 08:29

That’s brilliant @DropOfffArtiste ! Well done!

Well I’ve dropped and gained the same 1/2 lb over the last week or so. I think in a fortnight I’m a pound down overall. Which is frustrating as I have to get into my party dress for my massive Christmas party in 6 weeks and although I can get into it, it would look SO much better if I lost another 3 or 4 lbs at least. So I started my first 12.5 pen yesterday… let’s see how that goes. But overall I have lost over 10kg since mid June so I mustn’t lose focus on that.

Azuresky68 · 11/11/2024 10:08

@letshavetea good luck on your holiday and enjoy! I have been away twice since I started, and when I got home, waited a week before weighing as I think that carbs and alcohol 'hold' onto the weight...mainly fluid. I don't drink alcohol anymore when at home...the jabs seem to help but I feel a bit deprived if I don't have a drink at least some days on holiday After 13 weeks have lost 1 stone 1 pound (that included 3 weeks away) I am off again tomorrow for a week and this time it's all inclusive but I am going to try and eat healthy which will be easier as I can make healthy choices and will probably limit drinks to spirits and low cal mixers. I still track everything I eat on MFP too. The best thing is that every time I went on holiday before MJ I would gain weight and it was a big worry. Now I feel more in control and staying the same weight after a holiday is still a win!

Azuresky68 · 11/11/2024 10:17

Good luck to everyone at the start of a new week! I know some people don't track their food for very sound reasons but when I stalled I decided to have a look...it's scary how it all adds up. Before MJ I was stuck for about 6 weeks even though I counted my calories and felt miserable and deprived. I got some professional advice and found out that I was eating too many calories to lose weight. Without MJ I couldn't have stuck with the lower calories on a long term basis...I am so grateful I found out about it. Finding this thread was also a huge support. Thanks everyone x

QueryA · 11/11/2024 10:57

I've stalled a bit. I know why though. I have been away with work quite a lot and eating has gone to pot. I can't resist the buffet breakfasts, and conference lunches, and inevitable wine to get through the social evenings. Despite the MJ I am still making the wrong choices when out of my routine. When at home and working in the office I have my routine and it works fine. Throw a work trip in and it all goes to pot 😞. Sadly I have another meeting this week. I'll try harder though.

QueryA · 11/11/2024 10:59

Also, has anyone else had any bruising from injections? I've always been fine. Normally inject into my stomach. Last Monday's 7.5mg inj has left a horrible bruise though. Its not sore and calming down, but not nice.

Please excuse flabby belly image.
