There are so many weight loss injection threads, but I thought I'd start this for anyone feeling a bit deflated by their slower than average loses. It can be disheartening to see others losing multiple lbs per week when it is a slower process for some.

@Ifyounevergiveup
6.75 has left me absolutely wiped out.
I woke up starving, had my usual scrambled egg, cottage cheese breakfast and had a go on the treadmill.
Around mid day I started to really feel my energy levels drop, I was out doing a few bits of shopping, thank god I had my son with me I felt like a frail old lady it was a real effort to get out of the car.
Come home and flopped on the sofa and have not been able to eat anything else for the rest of the day. I did make myself a jacket potato, took a few bites and it didn't taste normal so that was binned.
I have felt fatigue before but this is something else
I cant wait to feel the normal level of tired again 😅🤔🙄

Ifyounevergiveup · 12/10/2024 21:09

@Pinkyp22 that sounds absolutely awful and actually quite scary at the time, I suspect.

My freezingness overnight has turned into a bug today; classic congestion and headache which won’t quit, no appetite. Any chance you might have picked something up? Either way hope you’re back on form soon ❤️

Oh no there is a lot of yuky bugs going round and covid has reared its head again.
Hot honey and lemon?
I hope were bug free here

Ifyounevergiveup · 13/10/2024 11:09

@Pinkyp22 yep, COVID’s around up here too, thankfully I tested negative. My bug’s on the way out and has gifted me a second pound off in two days, now down to 11.4. That’s not going to stay off, for sure, but I liked the look of it on the scale!

Azuresky68 · 14/10/2024 10:05

Morning all and Happy Monday! Just been catching up on everyone's news. Looks like we are all hanging in there - well done everyone. A fantastic support thread. 4 weeks on 2.5 mg and my 4th week on 5 mg so 7 weeks in with a weight loss of 11.5 pounds or so I thought! My weigh in day is Saturday but I had a sneaky weigh today and it looked like I had gained 2 pounds! Lesson learned..not weighing again until next weigh day. I share everyone's frustration on slow losses. I have genuinely tracked every day, even on a 2 week holiday. Apart from my holiday I have averaged maximum 1000 calories a day. No alcohol for 31 days! So hard! A feature on This Morning just started about the weight loss wonder drugs!

Azuresky68 · 14/10/2024 10:17

The feature on This Morning wasn't too biased to be fair but as we know it's not a wonder drug. Forgot to say that side effects on 5 mg are wiping me out. Nausea, headaches, can't sleep and tired out. Anyone find moving up to 7.5 mg helped? That's my plan...got the next pen in the fridge.

letshavetea · 14/10/2024 10:27

hello all, I’ve just taken my third dose (last night) and finally I have lost two pounds! The first week I stayed the same and last week I gained half a pound. Prior to starting MJ I’ve tried so hard to lose weight (like everyone else on here!). I’m hypothyroid and take antidepressants which doesn’t help. I, too am finding reading about big losses on the other threads a bit demotivating.

SnacklessWonder · 14/10/2024 11:23

Did Dose 10 last night. Official weigh-in today and lost zilch last week. Thats 10 days now. Nothing different, same calorie deficit (only managing about 1000 a day. Hoping to see some movement soon.

QueryA · 14/10/2024 13:24

Hello everyone. I am still plodding away trying to shift weight. Just taken 7th injection of MJ last night (now on 3rd injection of 5mg). Overall loss in 7 weeks is 2.5 kg (5.5lbs). I haven't lost anything this week, but also haven't gained, which considering I was away mon- fri on holiday is a good thing. I still don't really know if its working for me. I can still eat, though I suppose I'm maybe eating smaller portions. I still crave things. And I had a scoffing episode the other day when I couldn't wait for dinner to be ready so raided the fridge for chunks of cheese and slices of ham Sad. I'm persevering though. My next pen of 7.5mgs has just arrived, so I'm committed for the next 5 weeks at least.

So very glad of everyone's support on this thread. I started reading another thread the other day in AIBU about miraculous weight loss injections. the OP had lost a load of weight in quite a short time and was raving about how miraculous weight loss injections were, and how it should be rolled out widely and it was life changing. Just made me feel sad and jealous I'm afraid.

Anyway, I'll stop moping, and focus on not having put anything on last week. Only 10 weeks until christmas. If I can manage to have lost a stone in total by then I'll be really pleased. 14lbs in 17 weeks actually would be quite respectable I think Smile

Ifyounevergiveup · 14/10/2024 13:51

@Azuresky68 yes, I definitely had the worst side effects on 5mg, as people who were on the thread will doubtless remember with horror 💩💩💩. I’ve never had the same again and I’m on my first 10mg dose now. Hang on in there!

@letshavetea @QueryA it’s no reflection on us to feel that way about big losses…we can be pleased for someone and riddled with envy all at the same time! But that’s why I stay in this safe haven of a thread nowadays. 48 years of trying and failing to lose weight means I know for sure that my weight will creep downwards at best. I can live with that more easily if I avoid comparisons. I too can still eat, I don’t think I will ever have what people describe on the main thread as no desire to eat, first trimester nausea etc etc. Every pound lost is a battle for me, but you know what? That makes every pound lost that much more precious, so there!

@SnacklessWonder grr, on your behalf. My longest run with no weight loss was two whole weeks up to last Saturday, when my body graciously decided to give up a pound. Then another one came off the next day. Grit your teeth and carry on, you know you’re doing everything right!

Azuresky68 · 14/10/2024 15:19

@Ifyounevergiveup thanks so much, that's so reassuring to hear...I was hoping that moving up would be better. I haven't had the 💩💩💩 problem which sounds horrendous 😕 Will keep going and hope 7.5 is better. I agree with everyone who sees this is a safe haven where I don't feel inadequate for my slow weight loss. Thanks to everyone on this thread xx

Just to burst your bubble I had the worst experience moving to 7.5 😣
Aftsr having little side effects on 2.5 and 5 - 7.5 was not kind to me. So much so I have not moved up to it since. I did 4 weeks at 6.25, I went up to 6.75 Friday - Ive had a few little niggles, extreme fatigue on Saturday.
I have felt nausea for the first time today but I am not sure if it's mounjaro or being a passenger in a car all day - I'm a student nurse and out on placement with district nurses, so spent a good few hours driving around. I felt quite queasy in the poor womans car she asked if I was ok so must have looked a bit green 🤢

Oh noooo! I’ve just been rereading the thread and realised I was misremembering! I’m so sorry! Like @Pinkyp22 I had terrible side effects from my first 7.5 dose. That was the 💩 tsunami! If it happens to you, take Imodium. It stops everything in its tracks, and if you don’t do something, the symptoms just go on and on…I couldn’t sleep for fear of an accidental night time fart which, trust me, would have had a dreadful outcome 😩

QueryA · 14/10/2024 21:27

Crumbs, you are all making me worried about 7.5mg 😬. I’ve been okay with side effects so far. Weird metallic mouth taste sometimes. And heartburn and burps sometimes too. But no 💩so far !

Pinkyp22 · 14/10/2024 21:45

@QueryA
I have never actually experienced 💩💩 to date, Ive had constipation 😣
I had an unfortunate incident in the beginning where I was getting a bit anxious I hadnt been enough so I took TWO dulcolax 😱 never ever again will I do that
I was on the toilet for HOURS tummy in spasms 🙄
Never take two dulcolax, NEVER

LeafUsAlone · 15/10/2024 10:38

You're all a tonic!! Hopefully no more 💩 incidents for anyone!! I've spent the last 2 weeks very constipated and bloated - 2lbs up on my lowest weight ever but I'm pretty sure it is all 💩 and 🌬! I have long days in work with little toilet access so Im reluctant to take anything to help - and I definitely wont take 2 dulcolax 😳

@Pinkyp22 @Ifyounevergiveup oh dear....my plan was to go up whilst on holiday! I have my bonus dose next week on 5 mg then a 7.5 pen to take on holiday...mmmm 🤔 what to do? Was desperate to get off 5 mg due to nausea but today nausea has stopped after jabbing last Friday. Maybe I will have to use less than full dose on holiday? Any advice welcome!

I absolutely wouldn't risk going up any dose whilst on holiday. You may be absolutely fine on 7.5 but I personally wouldn't want to risk doing it on holiday

letshavetea · 15/10/2024 17:45

I wouldn’t risk going up before a holiday. I also think you should take into account that you have nausea. I wouldn’t go up until this has settled.

LeafUsAlone · 15/10/2024 18:01

I would count the clicks and use the new pen to continue the 5 dose. Im not sure if we have the chart here, but there is one at the start of the main thread to help convert.

Better the devil you know and all that!

How are you doing with 10mg still side effect free

DropOfffArtiste · 16/10/2024 19:03

I'm definitely feeling more appetite suppression now on 0.5mg wegovy. Weight gradually coming down.

Azuresky68 · 16/10/2024 19:11

Thanks everyone for useful advice. Hope everyone has had a good day xx

@Ifyounevergiveup
How are you doing with 10mg still side effect free

Hello there! Yes, 10mg has been pretty much symptom free. No hunger, no intruding food thoughts, just…serene? Yes, really! I know! Sooo not me. But it’s true. Sailed through my hospital pre assessment today (pending knee operation) and it still seems weird to me that all the clinical staff know I’m on Mj but my nearest and dearest don’t. If anyone has an operation in their future and are worried about what they’ll say, it was basically just “if we give you a week’s notice then don’t take the jab that week as the anaesthetic will leave your system quicker, but if you’re called in at short notice it’s not a deal breaker”. And that was it.

Second 10mg jab tomorrow morning. How are you doing with your complicated click maths? Is everything settling down a bit?
