There are so many weight loss injection threads, but I thought I'd start this for anyone feeling a bit deflated by their slower than average loses. It can be disheartening to see others losing multiple lbs per week when it is a slower process for some.

I have lost 2kg this week 😱
I am so shocked
Theyre not digital scales so not 100% to the exact 0.1 but last week I was 94kg, today the needle is wobbling between 91 and 92 😱
I guess the treadmill is doing something
Im finally over the 2 stone milestone 🎉🎉🎉 30lbs in total
I am in total disbelief

Ifyounevergiveup · 04/10/2024 08:44

@Pinkyp22 and I am absolutely thrilled for you! This is turning into a downward plunge!

Azuresky68 · 04/10/2024 09:26

@Pinkyp22 fantastic news! Well done xx

QueryA · 04/10/2024 10:26

My scales are broken. Apparently I’m 18kg! 😂 they were a cheap set from Lidl so it’s not a huge issue.but it meant I can’t weight myself daily. This is probably a good thing.

I'm having a hard time believing it, I keep thinking the scales are broken, Ive literally stood on and off of them a dozen times this morning

Ifyounevergiveup · 04/10/2024 15:40

@QueryA if you change your mind, I’d recommend Beurer scales, Amazon have them for £29.99. Or I understand the Renpho ones are good and they have them too. They’ll both monitor your fat and muscle mass as well as your weight; I find those numbers much more rewarding, as they move whether I lose weight or not!

@Pinkyp22 the last thing you will be wanting is a new pair 😆

They're not mine I dont own any scales 😂
I use work ones but I have to go to a specific room for the same scales each week 😂 so if anyone else is using that room I look like a right tit creeping in to use the scales

Ifyounevergiveup · 04/10/2024 17:50

@Pinkyp22 this makes jumping on and off them to see if they’ve changed their mind even funnier 🤭

Ifyounevergiveup · 05/10/2024 09:18

@Pinkyp22 hooting laughing! This is EXACTLY like all the nurses I have ever worked with! Gotta love it!

I dropped off this thread having got quite frustrated with my slow loss. I went clothes shopping and tried on some size 16 clothes in anticipation of looking amazing, and I looked awful. Still got a big fat belly.

I bumped into someone who I hadn't seen for a while recently, and she asked if I have cancer. A strange way of noticing I have lost weight.

My face looks awful, which is probably what made her blurt that comment out - I am so wrinkled and can't afford to keep buying different products in the hope of reducing them.

What an awful thing to say someone, im so shocked anyone would be so insensitive. Im so sorry she said that to you.
I have lost over two stone and still have my belly 😔 you are not alone, and im. Sure you do not look lile you have cancer, that really is such an unkind and thoughtless thing to say.

Ifyounevergiveup · 05/10/2024 17:46

@FutureFeelsBleak dear God, what a complete and utter arsewipe. It was NOT your face which made her say it. It was her own complete dickishness.

If you were trying on 16s may I assume that’s a smaller size than you were? Do I scent achievement in the air?!

Skincare is so difficult when losing weight. I do have a recommendation for a single product rather than all the ones which insist on serum, cream, eye cream on top, yadda yadda yadda…now hear me out because it’s £36 BUT BUT it’s sold by QVC which means you can try it for two months and if it doesn’t work you can send it back. And if you’re a new customer you get a fiver off. And even if you’re not, you can pay over a minimum of three months (four today, as it happens). And it’s on offer, it should be £51. It’s face gunk which you can use on your face and eyes and neck, you just slap it on in a layer when you go to bed and let it do its thing. Anyway, I’ll shut up (skincare geek much?!) but if you’re interested it’s by a company called Skinsense and the product is called Advanced Overnight Leave On Mask. I think it’s pretty much the best value for money out there especially as it’s no risk - there’s even free p&p at the minute so if you didn’t like it, it’ll only cost you the three pounds odd in postage to return it to QVC.

I’m sorry if this is overstepping but I just hate it when people get mown down by such bloody thoughtlessness. 😘

FutureFeelsBleak · 05/10/2024 17:57

Thanks for your kind words and understanding @Pinkyp22 @Ifyounevergiveup.

I was a size 20, and wrote on here a while ago about the sheer joy I felt at getting rid of all my tent sized stretchy black trousers that I wore to try and hide in. I realised at work one day that my size 18s were in danger of falling down, so went out on the Saturday with the aim of buying some brand new clothes, rather than doing my usual thing of scouring Ebay etc. In retrospect the problem was that I was away for the weekend and so went into shops that I wouldn't have normally at home, and I think everything about their clothes was just wrong on me.

But - whereas normally that would have sent me on a downward spiral of stuffing my face, this time on MJ it didn't.

Pinkyp22 · 05/10/2024 18:16

@FutureFeelsBleak clothes sizing is an absolute minefield isnt it, no consistency between shops what so ever, H&M are the devil reincarnated in my eyes, many many times I've been reduced to tears because of that bloody shop. If you have lost weight, slow or fast you've lost weight end of story don't let clothes sizes upset you.

@Ifyounevergiveup I love QVC 😂 I loved watching Alison Young soooo much I went and did a beauty course at college when I left school... Didnt last long in that job 😅🙄
Not tried skinsense I will have a look at that.
I'm turning 40 next year, skins in pretty good nick thanks to the small fortune I've spent on skin care over the years 😂 byt im noticing with losing weight I'm getting a bit Jowely - wondering if Prai neck creams are as good as they make out

FutureFeelsBleak · 05/10/2024 18:30

I found the Prai neck cream pilled on my skin.

FutureFeelsBleak · 05/10/2024 18:30

I found the Prai neck cream pilled on my skin.

I can cope with that IF it actually helps firms the skin?

Im thinking of having this HIFU ultrasound facial thing, it also zaps fat apparently so maybe that will get rid of the chins once and for all

Ifyounevergiveup · 05/10/2024 18:39

@Pinkyp22 💃🏼 this is me dancing about and loving skincare conversations! In my future I have the worst turkey neck ever (thanks to my great grandmother, grandmother AND mother who all had/have it so I know there’s no avoiding it) so I’ve always been keen on trying neck creams. Prai didn’t do it for me, not at all. Skinsense is good at moisturising and keeping things supple as it’s lamellar technology (same as Ultrasun sun stuff) so it lasts all day, but it doesn’t firm or tighten very well. But the only one I’ve found to have visible results is Perricone, and that IS eyewateringly expensive (and thankfully also on QVC, as you will know). My neck is on my nip and tuck list (and certainly isn’t alone, but is definitely at the top!)😆

@FutureFeelsBleak aha, I had a feeling there was a magnificent achievement in there! I can’t add anything to the Wise Words of Pinky…she’s bang on. I remember moving out of the size 20s and realising that smaller clothes, even the 18s, actually had a shape. Don’t get hung up on the numbers and have fun working out your body shape and what will suit it. And can I say bloody well done on the not stuffing your face. That would have been my reaction too before Mj…isn’t it funny, the effects these little jabs have on all sorts of things?

LeafUsAlone · 05/10/2024 19:15

@FutureFeelsBleak well done on your losses!! I'm sorry you had a horrible experience shopping, but I agree with the others about sizing and everything about clothes shopping can be bloody awful.

I've been taking evening primrose oil as I heard someone saying that it had helped with their skin when going through peri-menopause. No idea if it will actually do anything though!

@Ifyounevergiveup 😱 I was hoping for a slightly cheaper suggestion 😂 I have only ever tried pericone once a long time agian, can't remember what now but obviously couldn't afford to re purchase 😐

Ifyounevergiveup · 05/10/2024 20:06

@Pinkyp22 I know, and if it’s a choice between Mj or skin care I know which one I’m going for!

Ifyounevergiveup · 07/10/2024 14:10

For comfort to those slow losers at the start of their Mj journeys, here’s my progress…

2.5mg pen purchase day 12 stone 7
5.0mg pen 12 stone 6, a whole pound lost in a month (edited, worse, five weeks) 😔
7.5mg pen 12 stone 1, a pound a week (I use the bonus dose) 😕
10mg pen (bought today) 11 stone 7, 1.6lb a week and finally a stone off 🤩

Hang on in there, pussy cats, it works eventually!

Have a good week, everyone ❤️

Azuresky68 · 07/10/2024 19:13

@Ifyounevergiveup well done!! Persistence and determination pays off. Thrilled for you xx
