There are so many weight loss injection threads, but I thought I'd start this for anyone feeling a bit deflated by their slower than average loses. It can be disheartening to see others losing multiple lbs per week when it is a slower process for some.

@Pinkyp22 oh man, that’s dreadful, it’s so bloody annoying when it takes so long to sort out cheapest, coupons, postal charges, yadda yadda yadda…I’m sticking with Care just because I can’t face the admin 😅

Yes I am very pissed off by it and very unimpressed with curate. I will go my bank and make a claim if I have to.
Hopefully it will by some miracle turn up tomorrow.

By some miracle I have managed to lose 1kg, despite getting my period today so that's a win.

Well I’ve only lost 2lbs in the last month and that’s on 12.5mg. Very expensive way of losing 2lbs! 😩. I’m still hungry but also still really trying to be careful with food. Slice of toast and butter this morning, fish finger sandwich, a packet of pasta n sauce. Walked the dog for an hour and done an hour step class in the gym.

Hello lovely! Gotta suggest more protein and fruit/veg, just cos it’ll fill you up better and for longer than these carbs. Mind you I know maybe this is just today and not your usual menu! - so feel free to ignore me completely if that’s the case. I just hate the idea of anybody being hungry!

thanks for the comment. You’re right. I do normally try for more protein but need to keep reminding myself. Had an 8 hr online training course today so definitely a bad food day

How do you change supplier? I’m currently with Voy. I had a look at Curate and filled out the form but it says I can only get 2.5mg, if I want 7.5mg I need a prescription from my previous supplier. Can’t figure out how to get that info out of Voy.

I always email the supplier to request a copy of prescription just in case I want to change. Had no problem so far.

Azuresky68 · 28/09/2024 05:43

@TheWildRoseBear I ended up getting mine from Ousk as well. It worked out the best deal with Curate coming in a bit cheaper. I am wondering if I will be able to swap again and then go back to Oushk for maintenance. Chose DPD for delivery but seeing other comments I am a bit concerned about delivery!

Azuresky68 · 28/09/2024 06:03

@Pinkyp22 a big congrats on your weight loss! I need a bit of hope right now.

I'm sorry to hear about your delivery issues with DPD. Just picked them for delivery option but went with Oushk in the end. The only other choice was Royal Mail. I hope it gets resolved quickly. You were right about getting discounts if you leave a product in the basket. I got emailed by Curate offering me a further discount of 15% So they really want our custom but don't seem so bothered about the follow up.

End of my 5th week, and I was so desperate when I woke up at 5 30 AM I went to get weighed... managed to restrict myself from weighing every day and keeping Saturday as my weigh day. Lost half a pound, and at the end of week 5, my total loss is 7 5 pounds. That's after week 1 on 5 mg. Was SO disappointed as I have tracked every morsel of food and drink, average calories around 900 a day, but doing 2 higher days on 1000 and 5 on average 850, high protein diet with plenty of veg, no alcohol for 2 weeks and moderate expertise. Last week, I changed scales and got a false reading - I had lost 9 5 pounds in 4 weeks until I rechecked!! After weighing this morning, I came right to this page and read through the last few weeks of posts. It was such a comfort to read all the wise words and support on here. Thank you all so much for being here. It helps so much knowing I am not alone in this struggle. There's no way I am giving up. I agree with the comments that if it wasn't for the jab, I would probably have given up by now. Yes, it is expensive but for me I feel it's my last chance after doing everything else to lose weight and those things don't work anymore. I think that's partly due to my age, height and years of dieting. Over the last few years, it definitely got harder. I keep looking at a photo of me this time last year when I was half a stone lighter and I was feeling pretty good. In another photo from 4 years ago I was a stone lighter, and I felt amazing! I was still half a stone over the top end of my healthy BMI then! Anyway if anyone's read through all this post, thank you. If nobody reads it I still feel better for being able to express my feelings in a place where I know people have similar struggles. Thank you again.

Azuresky68 · 28/09/2024 06:56

🤔 I don't know how to edit posts but moderate expertise should have been moderate exercise but then moderate expertise is probably right too 🤣

Ifyounevergiveup · 28/09/2024 09:06

@Azuresky68 oh babe, everyone will read your post and everyone will know how you feel. I’m always wary of repeating myself and making everybody’s eyes ache with rolling, but I’ve so been exactly where you’re describing and at the same point I’d only lost 5lb to your 7.5lb. But you’re more dogged than me,being so definite that you’re not giving up. I was raging against the machine! Now 14 weeks in, I’ve just lost another pound - that’s the first time I’ve lost more than one in a week and gives me a total of 13lb. That’s exactly the same crawlingly slow rate of loss as I’ve had all along, but because it’s a bigger number I am very much happier! I met two friends yesterday who did a lovely double take when they saw me (I’m a secret Mj’er so when they asked what I was doing I quoted @flappyfish from the main thread and said I was eating dust and feathers - at 1100 calories a day it’s not far off true!) and it’s all starting to feel like it’s working. Someone on the main thread a long time ago said it’s like using kitchen roll, it’s huge until one day it’s nearly all gone. That’s definitely me and it will be you too. Big love for the weekend and beyond!

Yes, but you knew you were having a bad couple of days for reasons entirely out of your control and now you can get to all that protein, fruit and veg you’re planning and before you know it you’ll be disappearing, DISAPPEARING I tell you! Tits out, chin up! Xx

Azuresky68 · 28/09/2024 10:53

@Ifyounevergiveup many thanks for your lovely reply. I really don't think anyone minds if you repeat yourself!! I certainly havent got eye ache from eye rolling, more likely to have jaw ache from laughing at your wit! We are all struggling and helping each other. I don't want to go on about it to friends and family at all as they have heard it all before. I feel like this is a better place to share as we are all in a similar boat. Wonderful news about people noticing. Well done on sticking with it and losing 13 pounds rather than giving up. It helps knowing you are following a similar number of calories too. The number of times people say 1000/1110 calories isn't enough - unfortunately, it is enough for me!

So sorry to hear that but please don't give up. Can I ask how often you weigh yourself? I used to get on the scales daily and more but put them in another room now and only weighing once a week. It's amazing how much weight fluctuates by a few pounds during the day. I wish I could be disciplined enough to weigh monthly but that's not going to happen unless I am away on holiday. If you had a carby day, then I think it takes a minimum of 2 days to get rid of the fluid that carbs cling onto so that pesky pound will be gone very soon.

Yes, but even though my bad day was carby I didn’t think from a calories pov it was bad. 🤷🏻‍♀️. Maybe it was.

I do weigh myself every day but fact remains I’ve lost 1lb in a month at a cost of £200.

have been shopping today and bought fish and chicken and veg

Pinkyp22 · 29/09/2024 08:50

What a weekend

Managed to square it with a neighbour to stay for the delivery, imagine my embarrassment having to explain they would need to take it out of the packaging and into the fridge 😩 - it arrived at 10.30 yesterday morning, packaged in a bag not a box, the ice pack ( JUST ONE) was fully liquid but slightly colder than room temperature but not really fridge cold 🙄 ive inspected it since I got home the liquid is clear so I think it should be ok.

I've had an email response FINALLY from curate early hours of this morning simply saying...... Dont worry the packaging is good to keep it cold for 48 hours - infuriating!

I will never ever use curate again, will have to go back to risking the royal fail deliveries with someone else 😩

Ive bought a walking pad this week so have that to play with today whilst avoiding uni work 🙄
Have been a a bit lacking on the fitness fron this week with 1st week back at uni and I got my period, but the scales are still down so that's a +.

Anyway onwards and upwards, or should I say downwards 🔽

TimeIretired · 29/09/2024 11:24

Got back from an 8 day break where I stuck to my 16-8(although some days it could be as little as 20-4) but otherwise ate what I felt like and never felt deprived.

Woke at 5.30 for the loo and had to get on the scales to see the damage. Unbelievably I’ve lost nearly 2.5lb. The 14’s are waving at me whoo!

started my 15 pen yesterday as it’s got an Oct date on it. Not sure how I’ll work it with the 12.5 pen in my fridge with a Nov expiry date. Might titrate the rest of the 15 pen so I stay on the 12.5 dose for the rest of the pen as I list some of the first dose as it didn’t want to depress and when I took it out to check, loads then shot out ☹️.

Whilst that means I’ll be using it into Nov, and the Nov pen into Dec I’m a bit disbelieving of the dates anyway. Same with food too lol. I keep the pens in the fridge all the time too. Time will tell but I’m so indecisive anyway I’ll prob not make a decision until next injection day!

As an aside, don’t you wish that MN had a few of the FB emojis - 👍 , 🤩 and ❤️ that we could use? So many of these posts deserve them 😊

Hi :)
thought I’d join you over here as I’m definitely a slow loser

around 6lbs in 2 months 😩

a friend has lost more than that in the last month with food changing and going to the gym daily and saves a load of money in the process!

im type 2 diabetic / not medicated and was using this as the lifestyle change to lose weight and reserve diabetes but I’m doing something very wrong!

  • have started tracking now and eating a lot more protein, at least 100g a day
  • never had any alcohol
  • not much water and not enough step's/exercise - although have stated swimming again recently

am working on upping water and steps for the next month but if I don’t lose again, I think I’ll stop the Injections

Ifyounevergiveup · 29/09/2024 16:39

@MooFroo hi! What medication are you using? We have Wegovy gals, Mj peeps…all sorts on this thread. I’m sure someone will be able to help!

Yes 1kg, 2ish lbs off this week, even with my period ( tell me why its always appearing on a Friday when i weigh myself?). 26lbs I have lost in total 😱 👀😵
Incidentally my period has decided on 33 day cycles - I have PCOS so its been completely random most of my life ( apart from a brief period before I had my son). But since mounjaro its 33 days bang in, its a little unnerving I, have to say.
Slightly off track but my husband and I had tried for own baby with a lot of heartbreak ( we each have children from previous marriages) my son is my miracle baby (hes 12) after many miscarriages before and after him with my ex husband and my now husband. Dare I dream this is a positive sign with my periods?!
Oddly I have been having dreams about giving birth.
