There are so many weight loss injection threads, but I thought I'd start this for anyone feeling a bit deflated by their slower than average loses. It can be disheartening to see others losing multiple lbs per week when it is a slower process for some.

@NavigatingMounjaro 🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉
@Ifyounevergiveup is right as always,, celebrate it 🎉🎊
Is everyone having a good week?
Ive ordered a treadmill so I no longer have suffer Joe Wicks annoying voice.

I had a small victory today, it was my first day back at uni, the enormity of this final year is sinking in and stress levels are on the rise .
I came home and glanced at the crisps cupboard looking for l comfort, it did cross my mind to tuck in, but I was able to push it away, not something I would be able to do without mounjaro.
I just hope I can keep that up beyond mounjaro

I’ve managed to put on a kilo this week!! I had lost 3kg over 7 weeks, now it’s 2kg over 8 weeks! I move up a dose to 1mg on Friday so I am hoping there is finally some appetite suppression!!

How often do you weigh yourself? I weigh myself daily in the evening, sometimes in the morning too and it gives you really good insight into the normal ups and downs of my weight day to day. Somedays up, somedays down but the overall trend is down. I wouldn't feel disheartened about 1kg.

sundaysunday2024 · 24/09/2024 21:55

A bit of a strange week here. I've got over my COVID quickly but my appetite has dropped off a cliff; I completely forgot to eat today until 5pm! I haven't had suppression like that so far on MJ so I'm sure it's COVID related too.

I've got my bonus dose of 5mg left to take on Friday and need to get on and order my next pen. I've been with Zava so far but I'm thinking of trying Curate after reading the thread. I live with family at the moment and I've not told anyone I'm taking MJ so would be good if I can pick a delivery day to avoid suspicion 🤫

Shibr · 25/09/2024 08:33

@Bs0u416d

I weigh myself every morning. Usually I wouldn’t be worried about a kilo as on diets before I can quite easily lose 2kg in a week (then it can go up and down 1kg over the course of the week), but because this has been so slow I have been keeping myself going in the mind that I have not put any back on - until now!

I have started to keep tabs on my calories again, adding up yesterday’s, I was quite disgusted when it came to 2700 calories - no wonder I’m not losing anything and gaining instead!!

Ifyounevergiveup · 25/09/2024 21:40

@Bs0u416d oh babe, disgusted is a strong word! It’s amazing how quickly increased calories get to be normal, that’s how I put on 10lb every Christmas! I find the one thing I can’t afford to let slip is counting calories. Not obsessively, but if I don’t, I just get calorie creep, the little bastards. Be proud you solved the puzzle and shimmy on!

@Shibr and of course this was meant for you, my idiocy appears to have kicked in again 🙃

Shibr · 26/09/2024 00:03

Thanks @Ifyounevergiveup ! Yes have let it slip a lot. I think I thought it would be a miracle drug that I could eat normally (but less), and lose weight. Instead I am eating more, drinking more wine, and eating more unhealthily! I’ll start the next dose on Friday and see how I feel at the end of the 4 weeks. I seem to have a day where I feel sick (but weirdly want to eat bland, high fat, salty food like crisps and toast), and then have a normal appetite but crave salt/fat/sugar. I might be better off hiring a personal trainer instead of the drugs as I’ve lost all appetite for exercise too!

Snozzlemaid · 26/09/2024 00:44

@Shibr Having a quick read back, am I right in thinking you're not on Mounjaro but one of the others?
If it's not working for you, have you considered moving to Mounjaro?
It's reported to have better results so may be what you need?

Shibr · 26/09/2024 08:41

@Snozzlemaid yes I’m on Wegovy. I’m not sure I can be bothered to switch as I would have to come off for a while then start all over again. I’m trying to lose weight to prepare for pregnancy and as I’m in my 40s and have to wait 3 months after coming off before trying, I’m not sure I have the luxury of time!!

Snozzlemaid · 26/09/2024 09:10

Ah yes that makes sense to not want to delay by changing meds.
I hope you get some good results with Wegovy soon and it starts to be more effective for you.

Ifyounevergiveup · 26/09/2024 10:35

@Shibr I think that’s quite common and kind of reflects the view that eat less, move more unequivocally leads to weight loss. Bo-ll-ocks! (That’s me singing it, rather than being uncharacteristically shy about swearing 😉). So it follows that just eating less of what we ate before is a logical step. And equally wrong! I think many of us started off thinking that, including me, but I’ve ended up changing my diet considerably over the months; much more fruit than I’ve ever eaten, much more protein, and for quite a while carbs including my favourite, pasta, made me feel a bit ick. One of the things which keeps me going is knowing that this must be doing my health generally a lot of good. That said, half a pound off this morning so the weight loss is following too, however slowly. Two and a half pounds more and I’ll have lost a stone on Mj. Should get there by Hallowe’en 🤪

Shibr · 26/09/2024 12:29

That’s great weight loss - well done! I think the nausea hasn’t helped with the bland food, I just want to eat beige carbs! I’ll make more of an effort to up the protein and ditch the rice!

QueryA · 26/09/2024 12:56

I am also finding the nausea tricky in that the only way I know how to deal with it is to snack on something. I've always been like that, snack my way through hangovers and morning sickness for instance. I'm currently trying to stick to about 1200 kcal a day but its really tricky, even with the mournjaro, and still isn't seeing results. Just trying to take comfort in the small losses, and at least it isn't upwards 🙂

Pinkyp22 · 26/09/2024 14:17

Update on curate
Email this morning to say my order had been dispatched to DPD for deliver tomorrow 🎉🎉
So far so good
Also worth noting, in my quest to find a decent deal I had so many baskets filled with different pharmacies. After a few days several of them emailed me a discount as I hadn't checked out! Worth doing if you've ran out of medexpress discounts

Azuresky68 · 26/09/2024 15:43

About to order 7 5 mg but wanting cheapest but reliable supplier. Is there a way of finding out cost of pen and delivery please other than doing whole consultation. So far Curate is £169 less 10% but can't find cost of p&p. Ordered 5 mg from MedExpress but nobody has used my £40 off code. Any advice would be wonderful. Thanks in advance ☺️

Curate postage is £5 by DPD 🎊🎉

Unfortunately you do have to go through all the consult to get to the prices and delivery details but its usually only 2/3 minutes to complete

Azuresky68 · 26/09/2024 19:24

@Pinkyp22 Thanks so much for that info. Was going to look at Ousk, Curate and Ashcroft. Voy only offered me Orlistat! Maybe because my BMI is 29.7. What was the total cost, including postage from Curate, please?

Ashcroft have recently put thier prices up, and thier postage is £9.95 with Royal mail which is utterly ridiculous, however there's a free delivery code woth them floating about.

Total cost for my 7.5 pen with 15% off code £141 which I was quite pleased with.

Oushk is currently £145 with their £25 code

QueryA · 26/09/2024 21:02

How do you change supplier? I’m currently with Voy. I had a look at Curate and filled out the form but it says I can only get 2.5mg, if I want 7.5mg I need a prescription from my previous supplier. Can’t figure out how to get that info out of Voy.

Would they accept screen shots of orders? I read about some suppliers asking for photos of the box?

Pinkyp22 · 27/09/2024 06:33

Update the n curate order

Just received an email from DPD to say my deliver has been 'delayed' 😱
Not very happy, looks like this pen is doomed as no one will be in tomorrow to receive anything

Hello lovely, it might also be hunger which is making you feel sick. That’s happened to me, I don’t get a rumbling tummy any more, I just realise I’m not feeling well or I notice my pulse rate has gone up a lot (@Pinkyp22 do you remember we were talking about increased pulse rates a while ago? Apparently your body does that when it’s hungry. Who knew?). If you can eat fruit, try some grapes or other sweet fruit like melon. That might help, it’s good for you and it’s low calorie…win win win! On the progress front, I lost the other half of the pound this morning. Three more pounds and I will be the lightest I’ve been since I was 14!

Has anyone used Curate before? I have emailed them this morning RE my order not being deliverd on the named day I paid for, and re potentially a room tempreture pen being unacceptable - No reply!
Bloody marvellous

Ifyounevergiveup · 27/09/2024 17:57

@Pinkyp22 oh man, that’s dreadful, it’s so bloody annoying when it takes so long to sort out cheapest, coupons, postal charges, yadda yadda yadda…I’m sticking with Care just because I can’t face the admin 😅
