There are so many weight loss injection threads, but I thought I'd start this for anyone feeling a bit deflated by their slower than average loses. It can be disheartening to see others losing multiple lbs per week when it is a slower process for some.

@SnacklessWonder I've been absolutely starving all day, not sure why. When it came to dinner time I thought I would devour it but actually was full up before finishing!

@Azuresky68 you but little sachets of powder of tablets that dissolve in water.
I do feel the difference taking them, I thought it was all nonsense but I've just taken some for the second tine today as I've felt exhausted all afternoon. The ones I get are called High5 zero - a tablet you dissolve in water, taste is pretty good as I dont get on well with powder protien stuff I was worried I'd nit be able to stomach them, but they are ok. I have onw every morning and mix collegen powder in too. £7.99 for 20

Azuresky68 · 21/09/2024 19:27

@Pinkyp22 Many thanks. Do you get them online or from chemist's?

So hungry today. 5mg is definitely not suppressing as much as 2.5mg was. Hope dose 2 is more effective!

It’s weird isn’t it? In my 3rd week of 2.5mg I had zero appetite suppression, but complete appetite suppression (ie too much) the following week! I’m now almost through with a month of 5mg and still haven’t experienced that complete appetite suppression again.

I get mine in boots but I expect you can get them from most chemist's or supermarkets

Blimey everybody…no side effects today! I suspect you’re all as relieved as I am 😀!

Turn up for the books!!

New dilemma for me 😅🤔 when is there not one.
I have a wedding to attend next Saturday. I was pondering upping dose to 6.5, but not sure I want to risk feeling rubbish at the wedding especially as were driving lomg distance 🙄
DoI do my 6.25 dose as normal on Friday, im fairly confident no side effects, or do i risk 6.5 on the Wednesday or Thursday 🤔
Maybe I am just tempting fate too much and stick with what I know

Ifyounevergiveup · 22/09/2024 13:31

@Pinkyp22 from your posts this week it sounds to me like you’ve hit a sweet spot with 6.25 anyway. If the wedding weren’t in the offing, would you be thinking about going up? If so, why - what would you be hoping would happen?

I'd only go up a teeny little, mostly because in my mind its a 7.5 I should be using, but I think you are right as always - if it ain't broke don't fix it!

Ifyounevergiveup · 22/09/2024 14:10

@Pinkyp22 on balance I think that’s the approach I’d take, particularly after such a wonderful loss. You never know, the teeny little might be a teeny little too much!!

SnacklessWonder · 23/09/2024 06:41

Been gaining and losing the same lb all week, despite not eating over 1100 calories all week. Official weigh in today and down 1.4lb but if it had been yesterday it would have been 2.4lb.Still, a loss is a loss. 5mg has been a weird one for me so far. More hungry, losing less!

Sdpbody · 23/09/2024 07:09

I'm averaging 1.5 lbs a week and I'm 2.5 stone down in 6 months! BMI of 27. I do have a large bum so it is where all my weight is. On top I'm easily in 10s.

NoMoreCheddar · 23/09/2024 12:40

I'm down a pound this week which is more than normal for me. I didn't really do anything differently. Sometimes the weight loss, or lack thereof makes no sense to me. I'm sure a lot of it for me is hormone driven being in the middle of peri menopause.

Delphigirl · 23/09/2024 12:57

I’m down 2.5lbs this week so pleased with that! 15.5 lbs total in 14.5 weeks. I can live with that. Slow but steady.
@Ifyounevergiveup - phew!!

Azuresky68 · 23/09/2024 17:40

@Pinkyp22 would you recommend Curate - it seems to be one of the cheapest around. So far I have used Med Express with £40 new user code and Chemist4U for my first order as I didnt know much about suppliers. Planning ahead fro my next pen - might go up to 7.5 but not sure yet - so far been on 1 month 2.5 and now on one month 5 mg.

Not pinkyp22 but I have used curate and I would recommend them if financially you need the cheapest deal.

They were quick and cheap and everything arrived fine.

So far I have had no problem
I sent photos of my current pen, picture of myself and my driving licence, and my order was approved within 2 hours of ordering, awaiting dispensing, no further questions.
I am still waiting for it as I chose named day delivery (Friday) via DPD so reserve final judgment untill then - but for me being able to chose delivery day and with DPD is great as I am at work Mon-Fri and Royal mail are not super reliable around here, so its hard to get delivery timed right for when somone will be in.

Azuresky68 · 23/09/2024 21:27

@Pinkyp22 @dmott many thanks for reply. Very helpful 👌

Shibr · 24/09/2024 09:03

I’ve managed to put on a kilo this week!! I had lost 3kg over 7 weeks, now it’s 2kg over 8 weeks! I move up a dose to 1mg on Friday so I am hoping there is finally some appetite suppression!!

Ifyounevergiveup · 24/09/2024 10:10

@Shibr oh man, I’m so sorry. Good on you for gritting your teeth and carrying on regardless

NavigatingMounjaro · 24/09/2024 11:30

Okay, so it seems a miracle has happened and I’ve lost 5lbs this week after weeks and weeks of up and down with the same 2lbs! @Ifyounevergiveup I have since reconsidered following your comments, and like you said, the ‘what if?’ of not going up to 7.5mg was too much so I’ve just ordered it to take on my normal injection day. Nothing to lose but the weight, and if I have no success with this, I will stop my MJ journey after this pen.

Delphigirl · 24/09/2024 12:23

Well done @NavigatingMounjaro , I’m pleased something seems to be working. @Shibr that’s frustrating but honestly it will probably vanish as quickly as it returned. Fingers crossed anyway.

QueryA · 24/09/2024 13:36

Can I join in with you all please? I am in week 5 of mounjaro and have just moved up to 5mg. I am a bit saddened in that I've only lost 3lbs overall. I know its the right direction, but I was hoping for miracles. So many people seem to lose 3lbs a week. I'm 5'5" and 13st12lbs. I'd like to lose 3st, so its not as if I have a little to lose. I think I need to start counting calories. I just feel at the moment I probably could have lost the 3lbs on my own without forking out £100s on injections. 🙁

Ifyounevergiveup · 24/09/2024 14:56

@NavigatingMounjaro oh dear heart, that’s wonderful news. Now may I warmly encourage you to do just one small thing? Wallow in your success, just for a minute! You’ve made your decision, which already looks like it was the right one…and you’ve lost, bloody hell, scream it with me, FIVE POUNDS! Allow yourself to be delighted! Don’t worry about what comes after what’s coming next…plenty of time for that…for now, just dance! 🥳

Ifyounevergiveup · 24/09/2024 16:56

@QueryA oh, if we didn’t know exactly how it feels, this thread wouldn’t exist! And it is true that we all lose at different rates. And it is true there are many factors at play; thanks to the candour of posters here we’ve recently spotted a pattern of many slow losers having PCOS. Now those of us who have it already know it’s harder for us, but weight is so tied up with self worth that, speaking purely personally, my inner dialogue has often been “it’s harder for me but I’m rubbish and indisciplined and greedy anyway so it’s not the PCOS, it’s my failure”. The “so many people” you mention often have a seriously large challenge ahead, ten stones and more to lose. Three stone, in the context of weight loss, isn’t huge. It’s certainly an amount where you would expect not to see pounds and pounds fall away immediately. And that goes double if you’ve had weight loss journeys before. You’re right, it isn’t a miracle like stupid media folk say, it’s bloody hard work just like any other method, but however slowly it does seem to work (one of my jobs is scanning letters into records at my local GP, so I see a LOT of Mj journeys!). Come here for a warm virtual hug any time you need to and in the meantime hold tight to the fact you’re going down, not up. Both @Pinkyp22 and @NavigatingMounjaro have suddenly had unusually big losses this week. If you’d asked them last week they were both thinking of giving up. So was I the week before. We’ve got you and we get you!
