@Achieveanything how often do you weigh? I know conventional wisdom says don’t do it every day, once a week is fine…..but I feel if I’m shelling out for this it HAS to work, so I am doing everyday first thing to keep tabs on myself. Have seen the odd fluctuation up and down a pound but general trend in right direction! X

Achieveanything · 05/02/2024 17:08

Good on you! @Toooldforthis36 i was weighing once a week but then I started daily to hold myself accountable. Skipped this morning as was up late.
I should have taken measurements really. But the figure I tend to believe is the one on a Friday morning.
i thought I’d upped to 0.50mg on Fri but actually I’m due to start that next week.
so this is my week 4 and I’ve lost 12lb - can’t see or feel too much of a difference but I have a way to go.
its put me off the drink so that’s a great thing really. I’m hoping upping the dose will lead to better outcomes. Good luck all ☘️

I ordered from bolt pharmacy originally. I’ll have a look at the website.

agree on the price. It is not cheap, but I’m probably saving quite a bit in snacks/ lunches and really, trying to lose weight has always cost me £ (slimming club fees, special foods, gym membership etc) so I don’t begrudge it. I wonder if it will ever be freely available on the NHS?

They seem like the cheapest but were out of stock when I checked last week... must have just got some stock back in. I agree though, you cant put a price on health and at the end of the day the overall effects are priceless.

Nicebloomers · 06/02/2024 08:40

I ordered a 0.5 pen from Bolt yesterday and it was £167.

Eddmr · 06/02/2024 08:54

I took my first jab last Wednesday evening. I can't believe that I am not hungry. Struggling to eat 1000 cal per day. I have 6 stone to lose so it I'll be in it for the long game. Thanks for the heads up on Bolt. I will swap to that one now as cheaper than the Health Express that I got my first one from.

Nicebloomers · 06/02/2024 09:00

@Eddmr they were super helpful at Bolt too. Excellent service.

Cuzco · 06/02/2024 10:54

Good to know about Bolt, thank you.

First jab done last night and nothing yet. It mid morning and I am definitely thinking of toast! I wasn't really expecting a miracle just yet but it would have been nice!

LunaLovegoodsLeftEyebrow · 06/02/2024 11:38

I’m five weeks into the 1mg dose. Losing 2lbs a week with near zero effort, just can’t eat and don’t feel hungry.

I’ve added a clear protein during in the morning to try to get some more liquids and protein in. I have an egg in a whole meal muffin for lunch but I am full after two bites. I’m down 20lbs since end of November.

BlueMumma2018 · 06/02/2024 16:45

first month officially lost 10 pounds. With the help of an excruciating strep infection which means I haven’t been able to eat for a few days. I absolutely would rather have not had it though! Worst I’ve felt in my life!

Well done @BlueMumma2018 and yuck on the strep. I hope you are recovering well.

Apart from the bug that’s great news @BlueMumma2018 🙌🙌🙌

Achieveanything · 06/02/2024 18:19

@BlueMumma2018 good on you! Well done

Nicebloomers · 07/02/2024 12:28

1.5 lbs down this week so 9lbs in 3 weeks. Very happy with that!

Achieveanything · 07/02/2024 15:43

@Nicebloomers excellent! Well done!

Checking in after a month on wegovy.
SW 241lb
CW 226lb
GW 154lb. 15 pounds lost so far. 72 pounds to go.
last week was HARD. Definitely felt that the 0.25 was wearing off quicker than previous weeks and I had hunger pangs. I finished off my 0.25mg pen on Sunday and injected the extra that was left in the pen. Seems to have helped as this time last week I was hungry and right now I’m still ok. Only issue was constipation which was bad but sorted it out with dulcolax. Looking forward to the 0.5 pen (which I got from Boots no issues) and continuing to lose.

I’m glad you mentioned the extra bit in the pen.I literally just did the same thing. Also feeling the same as you re: the dose feeling a but low.

Great loss though!

Achieveanything · 07/02/2024 20:25

@Herewegovy1 really well done!

HermioneWeasley · 07/02/2024 20:54

My juniper are doing a 25% friend referral code for new starters on Ozempic or wegovy. DM me if you want the code (and for transparency I get a £50 referral gift)

2Tired4Anything · 08/02/2024 00:06

@Herewegovy1 great first month and thanks for the tip

@HermioneWeasley 25% off for your first month then practically double what others charge going forward! longterm thats going to leave a dent in your back pocket.

Anyone else burping a lot more? didnt affect me previously but since this morning ive been belching all day.

Annwithout · 08/02/2024 07:51

@2Tired4Anything
I do massive belches every morning, you can't really call them burps, they're no way dainty!!!

LadyWithLapdog · 08/02/2024 07:56

Did anyone sign up to the Wegovy support/coaching options, any good? Or just data collection?

Cuzco · 08/02/2024 08:28

Well done everyone! I think it's fair to say my first jab is having bugger all effect so far, but I know it's a waiting game of building up the dosage. I'm doing slightly better at eating less crap through willpower, but I've been here countless times before... I can manage three or four days before I fall off the wagon and into the path of chocolate again.

To those whom have changed suppliers for something cheaper, is that easy enough to do? And is it worth it? It's a lot of form filling... I went through something Express and Boots, having been told they had stock, only to finally be told they didn't. So I got mine from Asda. I'm not keen on doing a lot of paperwork again (but perhaps I have to regardless) but if there's a lot of money to be saved over the long term it would be worth it.

Pushkinini · 08/02/2024 08:36

I swapped from Pharmacy2U to MedExpress because P2U didn't have any .5mg stock. It wasn't too painful to fill out the form again Althing I did have to send a photo to MedExpress. They also called me later that day to double check my consultation but the script was approved soon after and arrived a couple of days later. They had the best price I could find too - £132 with a discount code they emailed me when I left .5 in my basket for a few hours.

2Tired4Anything · 08/02/2024 22:19

@Cuzco forms are usually 5 mins long and for the sake of saving £30-50 a month I would happily switch. You could find the place that has the cheapest overall doses and make a one time switch. (Some places allow you to buy 2 months supply at once to save you some form filling)

@LadyWithLapdog I didn't because I’ve never found it useful but coaching really works for some who need that motivation. That’s why so many people join slimming world etc.
