Anyone starting wegovy this week?

would love to hear from others starting out.. I’m nervous!

Hi all, I'm just coming up on 4 weeks of 0.25 and haven't really felt the impact yet. Looking forward to starting 0.5 on Saturday. I've just had confirmation that my pen has been despatched, but the price (with Voy) is a lot higher for the 2nd pen than it was for the first. Has anybody switched provider without having to start at the beginning again? Also, has anybody experienced good results on 0.5 after no results on 0.25? Thanks very much!

I have been on the medication for a couple of months now, the day after my first injection I was exhausted and did not leave the bed, no nausea. It got much better with the following injections though!

Took my first dose of 0.25 yesterday and feeling the effects of being less hungry already which is good! Although not sure if it’s in my head 🤣

im glad to hear those of you who have done Saxenda found wegovy had less side effects, I got bad headaches with Saxenda at first 😫

im at a stand still with any loss for the past couple of weeks.

strangely enough the jump to 1mg has felt less effective than 0.5!?

I’ve been hungry ALOT. I switched from pharmacy2U to Bolt to buy the 1mg as it was cheaper but wondering if it’s weaker even though it’s the same branding etc.. anyone?

I'm pretty sure it won't be anything to do with where you've bought it from. It's prescribed medicine, so it will be very carefully controlled.

Has anything else changed in your routine?

I've just been approved for Wegovy :) just waiting for it to be dispatched. I am away on holiday for five days next week. Do you think I should hold off starting it until I come back?

I'm a bit worried about any side-effects, although starting off at 0.25.

I think we're just getting more used to it now.

@bubbletubble If you're only away for five days, I'd just wait. Most people have been fine but a couple of posters have had some pretty grim side effects, IMHO, nicer to be at home in case it does make you feel rough.

Did my first 0.5 and been feeling just generally off all day, tummy hurts a bit, feel a bit nauseous. I was ok on 0.25 with reasonable appetite suppression so wondering if I needed to move up. Does anyone know how many clicks is 0.25 from a 0.5 pen? I'm new to the clicks and have no clue how to work it out. Just in case I decide to go down again

It's half the dose, so it's half the number of clicks you heard when you twisted to 0.5. You can twist to 0.5 counting, then twist back to start and twist half the clocks to 0.25

Sorry another question from me I've just had my delivery, yay!!! but the delivery man has left it on my doorstep and I'm not home until 8 o'clock tonight. Do you think it will be okay not being in the fridge for this amount of time?

You’ll be fine, I left my last one in the kitchen for 2 days once as a I forgot to fridge it. Was fine! X

NOT a recommendation at all. Chatting to a friend today and they told me they know someone who mixes their own injections. How!? This person works in beauty industry and may sell them but I don't know for sure. Perhaps breaking down high dose pens into smaller pens and putting into own syringes as was discussed on Mounjaro thread to get out extra dose.

I don't keep my pen in fridge, it says after it's opened, it can be at room temperature for 6 weeks. Everyone else keeping it in the fridge? Not sure I want the questions from hubby if he finds it in there, I haven't told anyone I'm using it...

Do what is easiest for you.

You can buy raw semaglutide and mix it up yourself if you are mad.

Fridge for storage before first use, after that it’s fine at room temp 👍

There was a wonderful post from someone a while back saying they kept their pen in the fridge in a brown paper bag marked "onions" as there was no way hubby was going to look in there!

Started last night, couldn't wait until I came back from holiday 😂
