Thank you @Annwithout, I will just be glad when I notice something, even the slightest thing....

Cuzco · 04/03/2024 06:40

Checking in:

CW: 91.9kg
SW: 94.8kg

2.9kg off. It feels slow but I'll take it given I still really haven't got into a good rhythm on healthier eating. We went to a Harvester chosen by MIL for lunch yesterday and holy moly those dishes have a lot of calories in them. I also had a fair bit of wine on Saturday. Going to try harder this week, at least Mon - Friday and continue to post here for accountability.

First 0.5 jab tonight.

Toooldforthis36 · 04/03/2024 09:46

@Cuzco its heading in the right direction! Agree eating out can be problematic, it’s really difficult to deal with high calories and huge portions, makes you think!! X

Nicebloomers · 04/03/2024 11:28

Hi all! Had a similar postage ‘almost disaster’ this week too. I reordered on Thursday while I wasn’t at home on a 48hr delivery with the delivery stated as Saturday (when I would be back at home) and it turned up on Friday. I don’t anticipate things being early. Late, yes. Early, no.

Anyway, I’m still dropping lbs, but can’t entirely say whether it’s the injections or stress this week as had a death in the family. I’ve been running on adrenaline. I’ve also fallen into old habits of eating chocolate during times of stress. Albeit in vastly smaller amounts. Emotional eating is absolutely my modus operandi.

That said I’m now down 1stone 2lbs in 7 weeks and my last 0.5 jab is later this week. I’m still not drinking enough water though. I made an interim goal to get to 12st 5lbs and that’s now tantalisingly close (7lbs away). Breaking my weight goals up into stages really makes it seem more manageable.

Still 100% team Wegovy. I thank my lucky stars every week that I got the encouragement of you all on here to go for it ❤️ You lovely lot are the best!

AlphariusOmegron · 04/03/2024 12:35

I've lost 23KG over 12 months with Ozempic, I dieted and went to the gym and even ran 4 half marathons, nothing worked. This has. I don't care about anything else, it worked and I feel 1,000 % better
(disclaimer, am a bloke, also 2.02M tall, went from 123KG to 100, got 5-10 to go)

@Nicebloomers sorry you’ve had sad news ❤️ allow yourself the chocolate, like you said, it’s less of it and overall direction of travel is where you want it to be.
I’m with you on the water - it really helps. I’ve allowed the Diet Coke to slip back in, and while the weight is coming off my skin isn’t thanking me for it!

look after yourself
xx

Afternoon all 😊

Can I ask those of you being/feeling sick, did you decide to stay on your current dose for longer as a result?

I'm still on 0.25, week 3 now, didn't put any weight on by some miracle as I was out 3 times in the last week or so (really unhelpful birthdays etc....). My chocolate cravings are back, I will try to do better though. Told DH Sunday will be our cake day, we'll be picking naice places to get our cakes from as a treat after a good week of food. Something to look forward to!

SW 212/213lbs
CW 202lbs

I had a pretty bad wave of nausea yesterday, I left it too long between meals with no food accidentally.

Am wondering how I'm going to feel on 0.5 and 1.0, it crossed my mind I might have worse nausea and some of you on here are experiencing it.

Is this why you've extended your time on the same dose? Is it settling for you over time?

Good luck to everyone this week! I'm doing exercise classes twice this week, a gentle restart. I have had dreadful plantar fasciitis not helped by my weight and I can feel this is improving slightly now!

Stormin · 04/03/2024 14:15

I am really trying to stay upbeat, but listening to everyone's great weight loss is so frustrating when I am not seeing anything - the only effect I am getting from it so far is extreme tiredness?

Cuzco · 04/03/2024 14:17

@Stormin Hopefully the 0.5 will help. Are you 100% sure you're only on 1100 calories though? That's not much. I can understand why you're frustrated.

Stormin · 04/03/2024 14:18

@Cuzco Yes, positive, I am tracking every single calorie

singlemum93 · 04/03/2024 14:20

Just updating- started wegovy 5th Jan- lost 22lbs so far! Amazing. Been calorie counting and going to gym classes 2-3x a week also.
I had no side effects except constipation some days-
Until now! Injected 1mg over the weekend and wow I've been so tired and on the toilet most of the time since!! This happen to anyone else? I think I'll be sticking at this dose for a while as I'm not in the slightest hungry and feel sick.
Hope in calms down as have a job interview later in the week!

Nootkah · 04/03/2024 19:18

pretty graphs 😍

Eddmr · 04/03/2024 19:26

Do you eat if you aren't hungry? I've been forcing myself to eat 1000kcals a day but could probably only feel like eating 500.

I do. I consciously eat to 1200. Tbh I feel sick if I don’t eat enough.

Eddmr · 04/03/2024 19:39

Thanks. I'll try and eat my 1000 a day then. It's not as if I'm losing loads - 2lb per week.

LadyWithLapdog · 04/03/2024 20:59

I eat at least 1200 cals daily. My average expenditure is 1900-2000 Cals according to my smart watch. Assuming that’s correct, I make sure I’m always in deficit. I’m losing slowly (week 3).

starlilly88 · 04/03/2024 21:17

Just done my 4th dose of 0.25. Have definitely noticed a gradual improvement in appetite reduction, this last week I've not felt hungry at all. But although I'm barely eating, I'm not really losing weight. Just have to be patient, feel like I'm on a bit of a plateau.

This jab really hurt though, painless the other 3 times, must have done something wrong

LadyWithLapdog · 04/03/2024 21:40

@starlilly88 I’d also reached a plateau last week, which I thought was a bit early and disappointing tbh, as I’m still on 0.25. It’s moving again. It’s slow, almost as slow as proper dieting, but at least it’s painless as no hunger pangs or food thoughts.

starlilly88 · 04/03/2024 21:46

@LadyWithLapdog I'm starting to doubt my scales. I was 188.2 lbs, then a few days later I was still 188.2 lbs. Wondering how I could be exactly same, especially when weight fluctuates on a daily basis anyway. At least I haven't put any on, but I am eating around 1000 cals

Nicebloomers · 05/03/2024 07:08

My scales don’t move if I’m a bit constipated. I am low-level constipated since starting. It’s supposed to slow digestion down so I’m not worried about it per se, but I like to check my weight after because the scales always go down 😂

Flatleak · 05/03/2024 08:55

I wouldn't worry about plateaus that are days/ weeks. There's some graphs on here from people who weigh every day or once a week and you can see it's not linear.

For what it's worth I'm almost 4 months in and in that time have had 3 different occasions where I didn't lose anything week to week. It soon sorted itself out again! My pattern is:

Pounds lost each week - 4, 2, 0, 1, 3, 0, 3, 2, 3, 1, 1, 4, 1, 0, 1, 2

Tindrum · 05/03/2024 09:17

😀today - FINALLY!!! there is a 10 at the start of my weight!!! I can echo @Flatleak I'm 5 months in and have certainly had what felt like a plateau or two although apparently it isn't actually a plateau unless your weight is the same for 3 or 4 weeks and you are being absolutely consistent with your food/activity.

Nicebloomers · 05/03/2024 09:21

@Tindrum very pleased for you! Great results 👌🏻

Berlioze · 05/03/2024 14:28

Are you all definitely sure your calories burnt/intake is correct?

With my weight (circa 91kg atm), I burn nearly 1700kcal a day just through breathing and that's standard at this weight? I usually hit 2700-3000kcal burnt per day in reality with walking/exercise etc. I eat 1700kcal per day because I want to eat the same after Wegovy and move the same amount, so I'm getting used to it now. I personally know very low calorie intake would put me off after Wegovy and I'd regain fast because I'd be miserable.

I also went through phases of eating 1200kcal per day before (pre-Wegovy) and I wasn't losing weight fast at all, my body went into a freeze instead because it wasn't sustainable and it slowed down my metabolism if anything.
