A thread for those getting married in the next couple of months if you would like to join me in my panic?

I'm getting married on the 12th September.

I've tried to be really really organised so hopefully it will all run smoothly!

Anyone else want to chat to me about their weddings and hold hands together?

the reality that everything is back to normal i surpose we had such a fantastic day and build up now its back to daily life...

I need to book a dj, the honeymoon and sort the rings. Oh and mens gifts.

Hi - I joined this thread in early August but have been away since then getting married. Pics on profile if you want to see (although they're a bit small and blurry). Congrats to everyone else. We had a fab day.

It's an aubergine colour. DH and I have been together 18 years so would have felt a bit silly in white.

Day was fab. We got married at the City Clerk's Office in NY, which was hilarious as it took less than 2 mins and there's a queueing system similar to the one in Argos. We then had the White Room at Soho House booked for dinner - six mates were with us. That was amazing. Afterwards we went to Bermuda for a friend's wedding which was just ace.

Thanks re. kids - I think they're pretty gorgeous too.

purple is my favourite colour - my bridesmaids will be in purple.
18 years. Whooooooaaaahhhhhh. We have been together 7 yrs this yr. I cant wait for the big day.

My friend talked me into the purple but I'm glad she did. It's a lovely dress and the flowers, which were hugely expensive, were lavender roses and were gorgeous. I've pressed one in a book.

they sound pretty. i am not sure what to have. My dress is ivory so i will have something purple and the bridesmaids will have ivory... i think...

I really wanted something wild like cornflowers but the florist in New York just did not get the idea of an informal wedding bouquet. The lavender roses with some ivy were beautiful though.

thats a shame, It's your money, you should have been allowed what you wanted. I like boquets with grass used for shape.

the wedding day was everything we wanted and more still keep smiling over bits that we remember.

I have gebra's with ribbon and grassed wrapped round in a hand tie which was very beautiful.

Main stuff is sorted! Have venues and my clothes. Need to get preorders for food & table plan in
my dress & girls dresses are being altered.
Rings are ready to pick up. Flowers are ordered

no idea how many peopleare coming at night.have two people talking of hen nightsbut haven't got any further

Just checking in to say we got married yesterday - and I'm already back on mumsnet! - but it was completely fantastic. Better than I could ever have hoped for. And fabulous unseasonal weather all day too! The venue (a hotel) was great and the staff all so helpful.

Hardly slept again last night as I was still buzzing and giggling over all the events of the day. Am completely wrecked now, but getting married is really good fun!!!
