My main message is don't be fooled by the milder temps and sunshine we have had recently. It looks like winter is returning next week. Certianly blow freezing temps at night for many.
and snow.
yup snow. From the midlands into northern england there looks to be a decent chance of snowand temps cold enough in parts for it perhaps to be a problem. The potential for this starts early next week I'm afraid, with heavy rain showing for many too.

Early for forecasting the Easter weekend itself - but it does not look warm and sunny.

I think that today could be quite interesting in the south! Plenty of hail, very heavy rain, quite possibly thunder and lightning.

Plenty of heavy scattered showers right across the UK

Tomorrow starts off nice, some wet stuff in the east later on but western parts may stay nice all day. Quite blustery winds though.

Monday - not quite sure, it depends on how the warm nose coming in from the south plays out really. models still seem to be mucking about with its position. There will be rain in Scotland and the NE - probably heavy - the met office have an advisory out for SW Scotland and also rain over much of England with position ?

OTBBK - DD1 has returned - first two days were very wet (plus some snow on Thursday), but yesterday and today were OK. Thankfully she had a new super-duper sleeping bag so didn't freeze much overnight . We won't mention the tent poles left behind
Thanks for all your fab personalised forecasts .

Hurrah! I'm going to tackle the garden. D'you reckon I'll have all day out there?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 05/04/2010 08:50

yes. might just catch a little rogue shower but i think it will probably stay dry. cloud should move away somewhat too. enjoy your day!

OYBK - I know that you're the guru of all things weather related so have a question (hope you don't mind)...

How can I find out what the weather is likely to be like in Britanny towards the end of of September? Is it just a case of looking for seasonal averages online?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 05/04/2010 09:27

I think so. My general impression is that it tends to be a bit warmer than the south of England but windier. I think that it can catch some good storms.

seems a reasonable discussion

for forecasts close to the time meteofrance
On that link if you click on the tab 'Climat en france' and then 'normales' you can click on the different months.

Thank you. And thanks for responding - really appreciate it.

It's all about packing the right clothes, of course! I love a good storm so I'll be hoping for one or two of those.

starts off nice today in south, rubbish in a lot of scotland. rain moves se slowly over the next 24 hours, not a bad day for many.

weekend coming up doesn't look too bad not exactly warm and at times a stiff wind blowing but most of us look to be having a nice dry weekend. hooray!
