1st September marks the start of meteorological Autumn and it looks like the new season/month is going to start with a continuation of the weather we’ve had the last few weeks ~ unsettled. But here are the Autumnal thoughts of….

TheWeatherOutlook
and yesterday’s thoughts from Netweather (their Autumn forecast doesn't seem to be available yet.)

And then there’s a very strong El Nino to add into the mix, which might bring a stormy/windy Autumn ~ Netweather's thoughts from a few weeks ago...

So let's see what the new season brings....

Developing Super El Nino may bring a wetter-than-average autumn

The latest ECWMF seasonal forecast indicates that it will turn increasingly wet through autumn - which is likely linked to super strong El Nino forecast to develop later this year - which tends to fuel an enhanced Atlantic storm track into Europe.

Following.

Weather for the coming days ~ the unsettled theme continues. It seems to be a pattern of one day fine, the next wet/blustery with Scotland/northern England being the areas that'll get most of the rain this week.

It's definitely like that here @GloriaSmud . But mother nature is recovering. I hope the birds come back to our garden though.

Just like this here in the south west. One day walking on the beach in full waterproofs and a wooly hat, the next day shorts and T-shirt. It's grey and damp here this morning but I have the patio doors open as it is so warm.

The dogs are very confused! But the garden is happier.

I noticed the birds disappeared for quite a lot of the time while we had the hot weather. We've had rain overnight and it's drizzling now and the birds are having a fine time out there so hopefully they're coming back for the autumn/winter.

And RoseInAPot ~ garden is definitely looking better ~ grass cutting has resumed!
