I've not adopted her. She's been abandoned, got an injured leg and incredibly thin so I got her spayed as she was in heat and the rescues can't take her in, despite her being in a desperate situation, as they are full. If they can't take in one, they can't take in one plus 4 kittens. We also have a mother fox with four cubs that are decimating the local pigeon and squirrel population with huge fights ripping their dinner apart (think African hunting dogs with a David Attenborough narrative *shudder). So this cat would have ended up as dinner the first night after spay and locking her in is giving her the best chance of survival while she heals from her abdominal surgery.
Gloria - I really hope you aren't holidaying near me. Can I suggest you visit one of those lovely little Scottish islands so I can enjoy a tiny bit of summer? Pretty please?
