:)

First proper potential for the winter on Friday - if you live in the Peak district and parts of Scotland. Grin

Think there could be the chance of catching something wintry anywhere over the next few days.

Temperature here (Leicester) has dropped like a stone since 5pm - was about 6.3C and it's now 2.2C, and we're having a wintry shower at the moment.

Wetinworcs · 25/02/2020 19:48

Many problems with flooding today with the main Worcester bridge closed again and difficulty getting to Malvern with the Carrington Bridge over the Severn closed.
We stopped at the supermarket for pancakes essentials and several cars had a few inches of snow on them.

It's starting to look a bit more likely for tomorrow, isn't it

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/02/2020 09:42

It is :) Even the south could see some slushy stuff or snow at higher levels for a time.

Mind you, I'm done with this winter!

SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 26/02/2020 09:48

mine is saying heavy snow mid morning now. journey in is going to be fun. It's starting to look like there will be just enough to screw things up, but not quite enough for it to be fun.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/02/2020 11:18

Actually, even to low levels, in the east, you could see a temporary accumulation in the morning. Could be quite disruptive.

Not seeing anything for Surrey though. Bugger.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/02/2020 12:53

There is some potential for Surrey, it's all very knife edge.

snow forecast for me tomorrow! normally I'd be pretty excited but I have a 9am meeting via a road that is often closed when it shows!

boldlygoingsomewhere · 26/02/2020 12:58

I’m in Surrey Titsywoo and my phone app has a snowflake for tomorrow. It’s very unreliable though - it’s got my hopes up many a time.

I’d love a few wintry showers - a snow day would be very welcome.

SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 26/02/2020 13:04

Interesting

SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 26/02/2020 13:05

oooh heavy snow now forecast for first thing - might get that snow day after all!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/02/2020 13:30

For those in the south it's terrible timing, heavy rain washing away grit, followed by potentially heavy snow for a time just around rush hour into work.

yuk!

Flake news.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/02/2020 13:42

Oh, Pixie
How long have you stored that one up for? Grin

wetinworcs · 26/02/2020 16:36

We had two hours of heavy snow last night according to the BBC and Accuweather apps. Except we didn't - not a single snowflake fell in my immediate area.

Piggywaspushed · 26/02/2020 16:43

I have a parents' evening tomorrow night. Looks like snow could disrupt journey in, cause havoc and then go away in time for me to be at school til 8pm. Joy of joys.

cheeseybeans19 · 26/02/2020 19:15

Is any likely in Leicestershire do you think OYBBK? Got my fingers crossed for a snow day 😁

winniethekid · 26/02/2020 19:44

I have a parents' evening tomorrow night

and I'm going to a parents' evening tomorrow night - see you there Grin

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/02/2020 20:31

I'm not sure about any snow days, but I think Leicestershire should see some.

Piggywaspushed · 26/02/2020 21:54

Who knows winnie... we may be snowed in together!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/02/2020 07:30

Any snow reports this morning?
Just rain where I am, but that's not unexpected.
