Snow watch Winter 2019/20

First proper potential for the winter on Friday - if you live in the Peak district and parts of Scotland.

Yes, 5°c here but feels an awful lot colder in the wind, which is still gusting well. My met office app & DH's BBC keeps changing between snow sleet & heavy rain for later today. I'm South Warks so expecting the latter with maybe bit of sleet.

In Shropshire, currently watching heavy snow out of my window! It wasn't forecast to snow here this week. It's really coming down.

Snowing heavily in Notts. Just over an inch in about an hour judging from my garden furniture.

Been snowing on and off all day and finally settling in my very low and near the water part of Edinburgh. Must be loads further inland.

Snow in South Leicester - none was forecast!

We've had '4 seasons in 1 day' here (Leicester) this afternoon. Started off with rain, then hail, then snow, then sunshine. There's also a weather warning for snow until 7pm tonight, across the middle-ish area of England.

Just stopped here. There are a couple of inches on my garden furniture.

Cold,sunny and windy in Northumberland today. So far, so good.

We did have sleet just as the 2yo was eating his lunch. Then a bit more, really quite heavy, just before the afternoon school run. The sky’s gone really moody looking again now. Forecast of sleet followed by light snow throughout the night.

We've actually got some blue sky today, took me a while to recognise it.
I'm not counting my chickens though as we've got a snow warning for tomorrow.

Is there any chance of South East getting any this year?

Very wet slushy snow on NE coast. Due to melt as the day goes on. Roads were awful. Very sad ds going back to school

We have a random snowflake for Thursday on my phone weather forecaster (SE) but it looks too warm for me to snow.

I have just read on twitter, maybe a few flakes heading Southeast ways later tonight?

Snowflakes showing on phone app for Leicestershire next week but on bbc app for tonight 🤔 would LOVE a snow day or two!

Sleet and snow all day on Dartmoor edge but not settling - but I can see the higher land in my view going white.

One forecast, xcweather, has snow for outer london, Essex. Hoping not true but the temperature has suddenly plummeted.

Managed to take mum out for a walk this morning and she has everything she needs.
