Apparently I can't do this Confused an hour after setting off and I'm back home again having made it about 800m.

We've been having the tiniest amount of snow here in worthing for a couple hours

I'm starting to get worried about DH travelling to Cornwall (flies in and out in the day, one way through Exeter and the other way through Taunton), while I then have to go to Brussels and back from Dublin on Friday. And taking Cubs hosteling on saturday up the Dublin mountains...

Going to pa ugh better attention to forecasts this week!

Very very cold here, bitter winds and the snow is lethal underfoot where people have walked on it. School closed. Kids bored but too cold for them to play in the snow. Argh!

Aw OYBBK ~ hope you've had a warming Brew

I've just been outside and I don't think the wind is so biting now. Temperature's climbed up to 2.8C

Most of the roads around me are fine which led me into a false sense of security! I drove into the road where I park at work and it looked ok then suddenly I skid about 10 metres and I realised it's just one big sheet of black ice! Scary!

Report
OhYouBadBadKitten · 19/03/2018 12:45

oh my goodness Titsy, that is scary!

It was scary on foot seeing cars slipping and sliding around so close to the footpath.

More ice tonight due to snow melt freezing, but I hope not so bad.

It was worse on foot today than it had been in the snow. Went to the gym and supermarket on foot and had to teeter along like a flipping mountain goat so I didn't slip over. Took twice as long as I planned.

Was thinking I might venture out, but you lot are putting me off slightly. Not looking too bad here but rest of SW looks like a bit of a nightmare from FB.

We've got quite a thaw setting in here at the moment. I stayed in rather than take the dog for his usual 6.30am walk/run as the paths were icy and although we only have to walk for a minute or two before we get to the woods I didn't fancy my chances on them.
There was still thick ice in places when I took him out at 10.30 but an hour later, when we came home, it was mostly gone. It's sunny so hopefully it'll dry the pavements so there's nothing to freeze again later.

OYBBK and Gloria you are both wonderful, thanks for all of the time you both take to keep us so well informed Flowers Flowers

It might not be Lubey. In models are hinting at a northerly in 10days time.

Aww not more?! Not Easter weekend. Please please. We are flying out of Heathrow on Good Friday. The last thing I thought I would have to worry about is the flight being cancelled due to snow!
