Usual disclaimer - Gloria and I are amateurs, fitting this in round our home and work lives. We do our best, we sometimes get things wrong! Please don't make important decisions based on what we say, always refer to the met office website first.

It's got really heavy! Proper big flakes Grin we're just south of haslemere

hoochymama1 · 02/03/2018 12:55

Right, where's that grater Grin

MrsKCastle · 02/03/2018 12:55

I'm in Essex, just inside the M25. Metoffice and Metcheck are both showing snow all day here but there hasn't been any yet. I'm hoping that the forecasts are wrong and We won't get any more.

oldsilver · 02/03/2018 12:59

Heavily snowing in my part of Bristol now.

First WoE have cancelled all buses they run in Bristol, Bath, WsM etc etc and all surrounding areas today.

GloriaSmud · 02/03/2018 13:04

hoochymama ~ it'll be in one of those drawers/cupboards in the kitchen. The one where everything classed as 'bits and bobs and possibly useful stuff' gets put!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 02/03/2018 13:05

It's becoming extremely dangerous across parts of the south due to freezing rain. If it's raining and it's below zero don't travel.

Am on way home from London to north Surrey. All teaching cancelled this pm and even ds's school is closing and it never closes! Freezing rain at home apparently- dp has just 'been out for a walk' (the weirdo) Grin

It's pretty dark, heavy sky and absolutely bloody brassic out there but no new snow... yet.

OublietteBravo · 02/03/2018 13:18

I don't feel so pathetic about working from home now - site is shutting at 2pm. Still no snow (well perhaps the odd flake or two). Kids still at school (although after school activities have been cancelled).

CiderwithBuda · 02/03/2018 13:23

Spoke to DH who was trying to reorganise his flights back tonight. Option of coming in to Bristol at 9.30 or in London. Warned him conditions still very bad and London was due snow and suggested he stays put and books something for tomorrow.

I haven’t ventured down our drive but I think our road is blocked as I haven’t seen any cars travelling along it.

Slightly worried absolutely it the dogs as they won’t go out. Well one was for a bit but the other just stays at the door. She hasn’t peed since last night. Grated cheese for the birds might tempt her out.

Just starting to snow again here.

brizzledrizzle · 02/03/2018 13:26

We've got the most weird snow right now - it looks like snow, feels like snow but when it hits the ground it's making the same sound as rain but more tinkly, like a quiet triangle.

At first I thought it was blowing off the trees but it's definitely snowing.

icantdothis2017 · 02/03/2018 13:27

Snowing here .
West Sussex coast .
Thin layer on ground

Rather that than freezing rain

BirgitteNyborg · 02/03/2018 13:28

Wow, heavy snow falling again in SE Dorset.

Do2Little · 02/03/2018 13:29

We this is how far the snow has got above the bottom of my back door and there is a big step down so it is now really deep.

And still snowing in the South West.

3 miles inland of Eastbourne, Sussex.

Mix of snow & freezing rain. Very nasty & am going nowhere.

PestoSurfissimos · 02/03/2018 13:30

Started to snow again here - outskirts of Brighton, up high on the Downs

imelda3 · 02/03/2018 13:34

West Sussex/Surrey border - freezing rain earlier, now snow. Starting to panic about picking up DCs........

Cacofonix · 02/03/2018 13:37

We have had a sort of drizzle all morning (SE London). Can see the occasional odd proper snow flake now. Really hoping this is over soon. Would like a nice plain boring functioning week next week!

icantdothis2017 · 02/03/2018 13:38

Meant to turn to rain here later but temp meant to be 2c then so it won't be freezing rain ?

FoodSchmood · 02/03/2018 13:39

West hove here and its snowing and sticking! Pretty impressive considering it was melting and trying to rain not that long ago! The garden is slowing turning white again!

HainaultViaNewburyPark · 02/03/2018 13:40

Light snow in Bedfordshire. Pretty much as predicted by the forecast.

PearlyG8 · 02/03/2018 13:40

In Brighton, its snowing (possibly raining?) Any thoughts on whether I should walk down hill to pharmacy to get DS prescribed medicine?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 02/03/2018 13:52

I should be around in about an hour to answer questions hopefully.
