Everybodylovesablankie ~ (Signing in from Leicester here) We might get some snow tomorrow afternoon and overnight into Friday.

Lovely daffs dementedma!

YearOfYouRemember · 28/02/2018 16:10

Snowing again in Kent.

GloriaSmud · 28/02/2018 16:13

Not as exciting as snow scenes but I have some impressive icicles hanging off my shed at the moment!

I've just been on the school run and have to say that it feels every bit of the -3.6C my weather station says it is at the moment!

The latest maps on Metoffice show the snow pretty much going around us once again. I just want some snow, is that too much to ask?!

Cerrocoandblack · 28/02/2018 16:29

It. Will. Not. Stop. Snowing.

Can’t believe we aren’t under an amber warning in Colchester

Ive cleared the path and in the last 30 mins another 3/4 cms have come down

blueskyinmarch · 28/02/2018 16:31

The red alert over Fife appears to be amounting to blue sky and fluffy white clouds!

Snownechanger · 28/02/2018 16:32

Wish we could upload videos on here, can’t capture how fast it’s coming down

Thanks Gloria here's hoping! It's certainly cold!

FuzzyCustard · 28/02/2018 16:34

Found the new thread THBIRTY SIX pages in. Epic fail.

Still no snow here...apparently tomorrow is our day (Cornwall). We have filled the new freezer with food so we'll be ok. (Several miles of country lanes to negotiate before any A roads, so we could be here for some time!)

Summer70 · 28/02/2018 16:39

Oogle please don’t say that, I don’t think I’m far from you & I want at least one snow day!! I can’t get met Office to load.

Dementedswan · 28/02/2018 16:43

North East checking in. At least 12 inches do far and it's a blizzard out there. Thundering and I could have sworn ligtening too but it's hard to tell as I can't see past 5 ft.

PostNotInHaste · 28/02/2018 16:45

Nothing on south coast as yet but had email that school shut till next week so have a very happy child.

boldlygoingsomewhere · 28/02/2018 16:49

Big grey cloud heading this way - blowing a gale and some snow has started to fall. Not predicted for us this evening.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/02/2018 16:50

oh! we seem to have surprise snow popping up! That's unexpected.

Just announced all schools in Ceredigion will be shut Thursday and Friday. Can't recall anything quite like this before

CiderwithBuda · 28/02/2018 16:53

TheSacredCow - swing by for me too! Am in Taunton. Have wine. Wink

DH is flying out of Bristol tomorrow but hoping it will be ok. He is more worried about flying back in on Friday night. But he also thinks we are hardly likely to get any snow.

DS thankfully doesn’t need to go into school at all tomorrow. But he does on Friday. And it won’t close as it’s also a boarding school.

I’ve stocked up on th essentials and am happy to hunker down but could do with petrol so might do a quick Sainsbury’s run in the morning and do that too. Then I can stay put until it all melts if we do get it.

Riverside2 · 28/02/2018 16:53

Kitten, surprise snow where please?
The only thing worse than snow - surprise snow!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/02/2018 16:54

Are you near the North Coast fuzzy? We've got shedloads between Falmouth and Helston (see previous posts about all the schoolchildren and parents- and in fact everybody- getting caught out.)

Cornwall Live have gleefully started calling it the Blizzard from the Lizard (the Lizard copped it first) Grin

Had a fun afternoon sledging down a nearby hill on our bodyboards, cut short by toddler going into meltdown over cold feet.

WreckTangled · 28/02/2018 16:58

OYBBK please can you get me some snow?!

imelda3 · 28/02/2018 16:58

Is central southern England West Sussex??????

Jungfraujoch · 28/02/2018 16:59

None in Bournemouth 😟

Muchtoomuchtodo · 28/02/2018 17:00

All schools in The Vale of Glamorgan are closed for the rest of the week too - apparantly on the advice of the Welsh Government and County Council.

Eisteddfods this weekend have been postponed.

It's blue skies and green grass here at the moment so hard to believe what could be on its way.
